The park itself was more of a subdivision. All the lots and the roads were well thought out. The office was nice, staff friendly. My site was large enough to accommodate my rig and tow vehicle albeit a little tight lengthwise. I had a nice view of the pond. The pad was level and all the services worked as they should. The wifi was okay. I was clocking enough speed to surf the net but not anything else. To be fair though, the local provider was there installing faster service. Overall, very nice place to stay for awhile. We camped at Mountain Falls Luxury Motorcoach Resort (Class As Only) in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Be wary of the roads getting to the resort. They are rather curvy and as one should expect the elevation changes quite a bit. There was a lot of road construction being done and it appears that when complete it will take quite a bit of the curves out of the road.

The Mountain Views on the Ridge lots are fantastic! The resort is now managed by a professional management company. All sites are full hook up and almost all have high speed internet (all will have high speed internet within two weeks). One ridge lot recently sold for 1.6 million. This has been listed as one of the 15 best RV resorts in the US. Very nice power pedestals, water pressure here is excellent. This Class A ownership resort, with rental spaces available when the owners are not on site, is located at an elevation of 3200 feet in the Blue Ridge Mountains. LOTS of twists and turns on the way to the park, so it is EXTREMELY important to follow the driving directions provided by the resort and not your GPS. Be very aware of bridge heights when driving to this resort, as some roads have low bridges under which most motor coaches will not be able to pass, thus reiterating the importance of following the resort's directions. It is very advantageous to book online, as you are able to view each available site (pull in or back in) and select the best for your needs...from a basic site to one with built-ins. Upon arrival, check-in was smoothly conducted by very friendly and helpful office personnel. Once checked in, we were guided to our spot by a resort employee. Sites are nicely spaced, allowing for privacy. This resort is beautifully landscaped and interior roads are wide and easily navigable, even for the largest of coaches. Located at the top of the resort (the Ridge) is a beautiful clubhouse, pool, fitness room, and tennis/pickleball courts, along with some gorgeous homes. There is a second, smaller pool located in the lower portion of the resort. A 9-hole par 3 golf course winds its way throughout the resort. While staying at the resort, we traveled to Whitewater Falls, Gorges State Park, Brevard, NC, Chimney Rock State Park, and the Biltmore Estate. We had a beautiful spot in the resort, but because we constantly come and go touring the area surrounding where we stay, and because the roads to the resort are not the best (some are currently being improved), we will not return to this resort. If you use this resort as a destination...staying here once you arrive, then this may be just perfect for you. We camped at Mountain Falls Luxury Motorcoach Resort (Class As Only) in a Motorhome.

We had been wanting to come to this Resort for 3 years. It was worth the wait! I wish we had come sooner, and we sure didn't want to leave! Gorgeous area. A little treacherous to get to due to REALLY curvy roads. Please pay attention to the website as they have excellent directions and a list of certain roads that are not good to travel on. Sites are large. We had our 44ft with golf cart (owners golf cart also on site) our motorcycle and full size truck on the site and STILL had room. We were glad we had our golf cart as the area is very hilly. Most sites have outdoor kitchens and fireplaces. Check in was a breeze, staff always helpful and courteous when we were in the office. Other owners we met were AWESOME people and encouraged us to return. Its VERY tempting to buy a lot. There are two pools in the resort, one at the bottom nice fenced in area. The one at the top of the resort is quite a bit larger and has a view to die for! A country club type clubhouse was also there with kitchen and workout facilities. However, the pool up there was not working. We were told the equipment suffered damage during the winter. There is a small par 3 golf course also, needed a bit of attention to the grounds. We were disappointed in the landscaping on our lot and the lot next to us. Weeds were taking over the beds and those needed tending to also. Clearly a resort we will be coming back to! We camped at Mountain Falls Luxury Motorcoach Resort (Class As Only) in a Motorhome.

Cornucopia Restaurant in Cashiers is a wonderful place to eat. Take your time coming in to the area. REALLY curvy roads. Go find the Blue Ridge Parkway and the waterfalls in the area. A nice place to visit on Lake Toxaway is Greystone Inn.

This is an ownership park. There are approx. 225 sites, 85 are the newer "Ridge" view sites and they currently have over 45 lots available for re-sale. Some sites are bare bones with a concrete pad and others have casitas (owner use only), outdoor kitchens, fireplaces and seating for 10. The park and surrounding area is quite beautiful. Your experience may be different than mine, but the management of this park leaves a lot to be desired. The owners association should review their standards of practice before word gets out. Or they might not care. For full disclosure, I was coming here to purchase, but that quickly changed to - I can't get out of here fast enough. During our stay a wind advisory came into effect. Our first night wind speeds were in the 20-35 mph range with gusts over 65 mph. Unfortunately, we lost a topper to one of our slides and were forced to spend our first night and all of the next day with our slides in because the wind gusts never let up. After explaining the situation to management, they refused to move me unless I paid for the new site in addition to my paid site, and basically called me a liar stating the wind "was not that bad". Now, I certainly didn't blame the park for the wind nor was I asking anything more than to be moved off the Ridge so my exposure to the wind would cut, but, what should have been a no brainer considering the park was 95% EMPTY escalated to management blaming owners with an explanation that defied common sense. At that point it was the principle, the damage was done. Talking to the crew I found out that this is a common problem on the "Ridge". So for those of you who want a view, understand that it might come at a great cost with no remediation. For the purposes of a complete review the waterfall was not in working order, and there is massive construction on multiple lots. The WiFi worked well, there is a plethora of cable channels, there are total of 2 washers and 3 dryers and the facilities look clean. We camped at Mountain Falls Luxury Motorcoach Resort (Class As Only) in a Motorhome.

The grounds of the resort are lovely and well maintained, the club house is gorgeous with an outstanding view of the mountains. Having said that, there is room for improvement on the lots that are rented out. The lots are individually owned and it is the owners responsibility to maintain said lots. There is no consistency on what is on the lots, some have a wooden picnic table, some have no tables, but a few chairs, some have everything. We had selected our lot from the website and it looked great, upon arrival we were greeted by a lot that was covered in leaves (Mountain Falls does not clean the lot prior to your arrival), the pond was full of algae and scum, one outdoor light was broken and there was a bin full of trash on the lot. We asked the office to clean it up and they said it was up to the owners, so we asked to be moved. The office was accommodating and gave us a list of other spots available. The one we selected had two broken down chairs and a side table. We had to spend an hour cutting back the overgrown shrubbery and cleaning up the lot. The internet was not accessible from our site even though I could see the repeater from the site. The only place I could get the internet to work was at the clubhouse. There are a lot of activities if you wish to participate and there are weekly dinners during the season for a nominal fee including beer or wine, this is for both owners and guests. We did not find the owners very welcoming, mostly kept to themselves. A nice place, but we will not return. We camped at Mountain Falls Luxury Motorcoach Resort (Class As Only) in a Motorhome.

This is a resort in all ways possible. Golf, swim, bike, etc and the lots are exceptional. Courteous, helpful, friendly staff. Trash pickup daily. Quiet. Waterfall. On the Ridge you can see forever, off the Ridge is a bit wooded but not so much as to interfere with satellite if you want to use it. Tips for other Campers:

Cashiers is nearby - if you like touristy stuff! Brevard not too far away and good food there (and breweries). There is some construction going Hwy 64, but really it wasn't a problem, just watch yourself - its only 2 miles. Ate at the Falls and it was wonderful. Lots of side trips near! Wish I could be treated so personally all the time - staff here is outstanding.

Easily one of the nicest settings in the country. Exceptional high end RV resort. Laid out and landscaped beautifully. Water, rocks, trees, incredible stone work. Golf course, a walkers paradise. The only problem with this place, it's awful to get to. Narrow winding mountain road that seems to last forever. The drive down the mountain will be more enjoyable. This is certainly not an "overnight" park. It's a destination so plan on several days. And get the camera ready. You'll take lots of pictures! Hi John,

Thanks for the review. The highway is being totally redone, fewer curves, wider road and the curves that will remain will be much gentler. We look forward to its completion.

The best place we have ever stayed. Our site was up on the Ridge with the prettiest sunrises I have ever seen. The resort is first class, but the mountains are the draw. When we got back home, we made reservations to go back in October. The WiFi on the Ridge was weak; but they are addressing that with cable and modems, as there is still some construction on the Ridge. You can view most sites and views on their website. Take or rent a golf cart when there. Your bikes are useless unless you go to some biking trails in the area. The hills are too steep in the resort for bike riding. The golf cart trails are beautiful and worth the rental of the cart.

This is a "destination" RV resort. There is nothing close by, but the resort is very nice with one big exception. The main clubhouse on the ridge has great view and a beautiful place to watch the sunset from the hot tub or just sit in a chair and relax.....except for one thing....a bunch of screaming kids who arrive about and hour before sunset! I'm sure their parents think they are cute and having fun, but the rest of us saw a bunch screaming brats running around the pool. If there were on rule, it should be no children after 8PM! We tried 5 nights to enjoy that pool/hot tub at night and only made it once when the screaming brats weren't there. Luckily there was another hot tub and pool, no view, but better than listening to that! Beyond that, yes, the wifi is worthless, but frankly, if I ever went to an RV park with even decent wifi, I would fall over! The rest of the resort is amazing, expensive for an RV park, but worth it. We don't mind driving to do things, so that was not a big deal. Great places to walk the dogs, super clean and when we were there, not crowded. I would go again and next time I will ask management to keep the kids out of the pool! That was worst part of the whole thing. So all in all not bad. The drive in is curvy, but we've been at this for years and it's totally doable! We drive a 43 ft coach with a tow vehicle. We camped at Mountain Falls Luxury Motorcoach Resort (Class As Only) in a Motorhome.

This is a beautiful place....very clean and we'll constructed. The staff was more than helpful and very friendly. We didn't use the bath house but I'm sure it's immaculate. We found the last 8 miles of the trip to be quite challenging but doable. If u go out and about be prepared for curvy hilly roads. We experienced other drivers on our bumper because we weren't doing 60 in a 35 speed zone. Let's say u should plan anything u do outside the resort to be a "day trip".

I couldn't give a 10 because there is no usable wifi at our site and the road leading into the resort for the last 8 miles is pretty risky and to go out and about requires patience. The scenery of Carolina Blue and the mountains outweigh the driving to the local areas. We camped at Mountain Falls Luxury Motorcoach Resort (Class As Only) in a Motorhome.

We spent two weeks at Mountain Falls at the end of the foliage and tourist season so there were very few motorhomes in the park while we were there. The park itself is paved throughout with concrete pads which are level. Almost every site has landscaping or development of some sort. Our lot (#4) was near the entrance to the park and was nicely designed with delightful sitting areas and lighting. Is was close to Rt. 64 so there is a bit of traffic noise but nothing that was bothersome. The park itself is cleaned and nicely maintained. The views from The Ridge at the top of the resort are stunning although the sites for rent in this section are quite stark, mostly just a level concrete pad. We drive a 43' MH and tow a car making the drive into the resort from the East quite interesting. The road is narrow and curvy for the last 5 or six miles so one must go slow and carefully. If we were returning, we might take off the car prior to this last section of the road. As previously noted there is not a lot to do locally without a 30 - 60 minutes drive but it suited us just fine, we appreciated the quiet and the solitude. The club house is very nice and we used the exercise room several times. Wifi worked pretty well from our location, satellite reception was good. We would stay here again. This is an ownership campground but is open to all Class a's over 35 feet. There are two sections, the original section that is deluxe but older, and a brand new "ridge"section that is spectacular for its truly awesome mountain views. We stayed on the ridge, hence the stiff fee. Sites in the older section are cheaper but lack the fabulous views (although you can easily drive to the ridge without staying there).

The campground is hard to get to. You cannot approach it from the north or west because the roads are not suitable for RV's, and even the roads from the east and south are very difficult mountain driving. Tight turns with 25 mph blind corners and narrow lanes make it difficult but doable. The other drawback is that there is very little to see or do in the area without driving a half hour or more on the same difficult and slow mountain roads, even in your car.

The views were worth it all, and I am glad we went, but having seen it I don't know if I'd reurn. We camped at Mountain Falls Luxury Motorcoach Resort (Class As Only) in a Motorhome.
