This is a "destination" RV resort. There is nothing close by, but the resort is very nice with one big exception. The main clubhouse on the ridge has great view and a beautiful place to watch the sunset from the hot tub or just sit in a chair and relax.....except for one thing....a bunch of screaming kids who arrive about and hour before sunset! I'm sure their parents think they are cute and having fun, but the rest of us saw a bunch screaming brats running around the pool. If there were on rule, it should be no children after 8PM! We tried 5 nights to enjoy that pool/hot tub at night and only made it once when the screaming brats weren't there. Luckily there was another hot tub and pool, no view, but better than listening to that! Beyond that, yes, the wifi is worthless, but frankly, if I ever went to an RV park with even decent wifi, I would fall over! The rest of the resort is amazing, expensive for an RV park, but worth it. We don't mind driving to do things, so that was not a big deal. Great places to walk the dogs, super clean and when we were there, not crowded. I would go again and next time I will ask management to keep the kids out of the pool! That was worst part of the whole thing. So all in all not bad. The drive in is curvy, but we've been at this for years and it's totally doable! We drive a 43 ft coach with a tow vehicle. We camped at Mountain Falls Luxury Motorcoach Resort (formerly Blue Ridge Mountains in a Motorhome.

This is a beautiful place....very clean and we'll constructed. The staff was more than helpful and very friendly. We didn't use the bath house but I'm sure it's immaculate. We found the last 8 miles of the trip to be quite challenging but doable. If u go out and about be prepared for curvy hilly roads. We experienced other drivers on our bumper because we weren't doing 60 in a 35 speed zone. Let's say u should plan anything u do outside the resort to be a "day trip".

I couldn't give a 10 because there is no usable wifi at our site and the road leading into the resort for the last 8 miles is pretty risky and to go out and about requires patience. The scenery of Carolina Blue and the mountains outweigh the driving to the local areas. We camped at Mountain Falls Luxury Motorcoach Resort (formerly Blue Ridge Mountains in a Motorhome.

We spent two weeks at Mountain Falls at the end of the foliage and tourist season so there were very few motorhomes in the park while we were there. The park itself is paved throughout with concrete pads which are level. Almost every site has landscaping or development of some sort. Our lot (#4) was near the entrance to the park and was nicely designed with delightful sitting areas and lighting. Is was close to Rt. 64 so there is a bit of traffic noise but nothing that was bothersome. The park itself is cleaned and nicely maintained. The views from The Ridge at the top of the resort are stunning although the sites for rent in this section are quite stark, mostly just a level concrete pad. We drive a 43' MH and tow a car making the drive into the resort from the East quite interesting. The road is narrow and curvy for the last 5 or six miles so one must go slow and carefully. If we were returning, we might take off the car prior to this last section of the road. As previously noted there is not a lot to do locally without a 30 - 60 minutes drive but it suited us just fine, we appreciated the quiet and the solitude. The club house is very nice and we used the exercise room several times. Wifi worked pretty well from our location, satellite reception was good. We would stay here again. We camped at Mountain Falls Luxury Motorcoach Resort (formerly Blue Ridge Mountains in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Great grocery store, Ingles, a 30 minutes drive to Cashiers. Nice little restaurant, Amore, right next to the resort. Both worth a try. Day trip to Highlands was worth the jaunt.

Beautiful park. We had a great site with all the bells and whistles.
Staff was very friendly but did nothing to deal with our lack of wi fi. They should have moved us to another area but a rally was going on and that was their top priority.
We will not return.

This is an ownership campground but is open to all Class a's over 35 feet. There are two sections, the original section that is deluxe but older, and a brand new "ridge"section that is spectacular for its truly awesome mountain views. We stayed on the ridge, hence the stiff fee. Sites in the older section are cheaper but lack the fabulous views (although you can easily drive to the ridge without staying there).

The campground is hard to get to. You cannot approach it from the north or west because the roads are not suitable for RV's, and even the roads from the east and south are very difficult mountain driving. Tight turns with 25 mph blind corners and narrow lanes make it difficult but doable. The other drawback is that there is very little to see or do in the area without driving a half hour or more on the same difficult and slow mountain roads, even in your car.

The views were worth it all, and I am glad we went, but having seen it I don't know if I'd reurn. We camped at Mountain Falls Luxury Motorcoach Resort (formerly Blue Ridge Mountains in a Motorhome.

Tthere is a loevly 9-hole pitch and putt golf course there.

Be sure to take your toad to Highlands which is a beautiful upscale town a little more than 30 minutes to the west. Do NOT go there in an RV.

Beautiful resort with nice pull in or back in sites. The sites are all very level concrete pads and many of them have pavers and sitting areas. Very friendly, helpful staff. This resort certainly could be a 10 but the reason for my 8 is that they do not currently have a clubhouse although it is under construction, the golf course needs some work, there is a lot of construction noise during the day and even up to 7:30 at night and the Wifi is horrible. Also the roads coming in are certainly a challenge but it is worth it once you arrive. We camped at Mountain Falls Luxury Motorcoach Resort (formerly Blue Ridge Mountains in a Motorhome.

10s all the way around. It just doesn't get much better than this. The resort, the residents, and the staff all get 10s. There are many places to stay in your motorhome that are labeled resorts, but this one really is. This is a Class A Motorhome resort only. We have stayed here several times since 2007. Formerly an ORA resort, the facility is now owner controlled, and it is excellent. The owners have a vested interest and have made this place first class. We met not one owner who was snobbish or reeked of exclusivity. These people are great and so is their resort. Large privately owned sites that are well landscaped with neighbors who will go out of their way to make you feel welcome. They have opened a new mountain top section of lots called the "Ridge" with coach houses next to the motorhomes. A new clubhouse is also nearing completion. We were here over the July 4th holiday and the residents had a golf cart parade, and a dog show of sorts. Wish we could move in, but it is not our time. We will be coming back to visit for sure! This park has 144 sites that are currently privately owned. They are in the process of a huge addition on top of the mountain that the resort sits on that will add another 85 lots and a club house. This project is slated to be finished by the summer of 2014. The current construction doesn't bother the current lots at all. The staff and the owners are as nice a bunch of people can be. You'll feel at home immediately! Lot rentals fall into two categories: 1. Undeveloped lots, meaning a nice concrete pad with full hookups and a picnic table. The rental rate is currently $55. 2. Developed lots, meaning the owner has added amenities to the lot such as a fireplace, bar, kitchen area with grill, tables with chairs, etc. The rental rate is $65. Some of these lots are absolutely spectacular! I only withheld a 10 rating because they currently don't have a club house. When this is added, this park cannot be beat. This is absolutely one of the most beautiful and inviting RV resorts we've ever seen. From the time you register until checkout you are treated like the guests of a 5 Star hotel resort. Yes, there are a lot of super premium motor homes here, but they are not in the majority. The sites are beautiful, the guests are the friendliest we've ever experienced, lots of activities, gated entry with full time security. This RV resort certainly sets the standard for premium RV destinations in the southeast. We camped at Mountain Falls Luxury Motorcoach Resort (formerly Blue Ridge Mountains in a Motorhome.

This is a lovely ownership resort in the western mountains of NC. These owners are probably the friendliest and most helpful of any we have met anywhere. I gave it a 9 vs. a 10 only because it doesn't have a fitness center or tennis courts or clubhouse. Owners have just recently bought from developer. Activities are held under a tent. But, a group of ladies hiked around Lake Toxaway daily (lots of hills), and we had Yoga the month of July. It's isolated: about 30 minutes from Cashiers or Brevard, but there are a couple of excellent restaurants close by. We would definitely return. If you like quiet and relaxation, you will love it here. Beautifully landscaped. Golf is approximately twenty minutes away, and there is an executive course on site for $10 a day. Lots of Activities, which renters are invited to. Lake Toxaway is a very upscale community and is private. No one is allowed on the lake unless they are an owner or staying at the Graystone Inn. This is a first class, luxury, adult oriented resort. If you have anything but a class A mororhome, pass this one by...the security guard will turn you around at the gate and you will not be allowed to stay. The par three golf course is beautiful, as is the rest of the landscaping. The laundry facility is a little slim for a park of this size...only three washers and three dryers for the entire park! The resort has back-in as well as pull-in sites. There are no pull throughs, and there is no room for trailers at your site. Every site has fifty amp electric, which is required by all class A motorhomes. Some site owners [it's a condominium park] have spent a lot of money upgrading their sites, but guests are not allowed to use the kitchens or fireplaces. The sites are concrete, level and easy to back into. You may see some coaches, mostly made by Prevost, which cost upwards of a million dollars! It is worth staying here just to look. Office staff are friendly and eager to help you with whatever you need. A first class park with a first class price! We camped at Mountain Falls Luxury Motorcoach Resort (formerly Blue Ridge Mountains in a Motorhome.
