Mountainous curvy roads to get to the RV park and a little tricky wide single lane gravel road downhill into RV park, but manageable and staff was helpful getting us in and out of the driveway. Don't miss the entrance! Sites are a little close together, with trees. Love the gazebo with fireplace as a gathering spot for guests, as well as the covered area with picnic tables. Nice dog walk area. Grounds well maintained. Staff very friendly. We would stay here again. We camped at Riverbend RV Park in a Motorhome.

Good restaurants & nice shops in Brevard. Went for a week of waterfall sightseeing and the area does not disappoint! Enjoyed a side trip to the Cradle of Forestry.

Far from a "resort". No pool, no hot tub, no fitness room, no activities. Unless of course, you count the daily "Happy hour" as an amenity. The roads and sites are all gravel and dirt. The trees and shrubs are all overgrown. I had given the manager all of the info about our rig, because we are a bit oversized. However, the manager had no idea how big we are because, he claimed, I hadn't told him. He put us in a very tight space for the size of our rig, and it was so overgrown that we had to back the trailer right up against the cement pad to be able to open our slides. The road in and out is one very narrow lane with a VERY sharp curve that leads down a VERY STEEP hill. And finally, it rained every day...most of the day. All roads leading to and from all towns are VERY curvy. So much so that I got nauseous whenever we had to "go to town." We camped at Riverbend RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

This is about the only RV park in the Cashiers, NC area. Nice, small park with nice staff. First off, take note of the 7PM cutoff for arrivals. This was a big con for us as we have a long drive and we like to stop and hike on the way in. Coming east, we also loose an hour. I talked to the staff and they offered 7:30 - not really much help. That being said, the staff are very friendly and helpful. They guide you to the spot, help you back in, check in frequently, and site maintenance was top notch. Everything was clean and groomed. There are regular activities, such as a brisket cookout for the whole campground while we were there. I understand they have a running ladies card game, and regular golf outings as well. Sites are small and fairly close together. Our 30' trailer came almost to the road and we had to park the TV sideways. We camped at Riverbend RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Love the Orchard in Cashiers for gourmet dinner - but make reservations. Try Randevu for an excellent breakfast and coffee.

Curvy road getting there but campground was in a beautiful setting. Covered patio with big screen TV and fireplace used every night for friendly gatherings. Hosts kept the whole area clean every day. Mix of return visitors and first timers like us. We camped at Riverbend RV Park in a Motorhome.

We have been fulltiming for the past 4 months and this has been our favorite campground so far especially for a small campground. Upon arriving, the host was there to greet us and help us back into our site and was extremely helpful throughout our stay. Within the campground itself there was a small covered gathering area that had a TV and large fireplace and next to this was a large covered kitchen and BBQ area that had the stream running next to it. A five minute walk on the 51 acre property brings you to another large covered gathering area that had a kitchen, BBQ, and TV that overlooked a stocked fish pond. During the week we were there, which was just prior to the campground closing for the winter, there was a number of activities that brought campers together, such as a cookout, skeet shooting, fishing, golf outing, and happy hour. A few sites had plenty of room for the largest rig and a vehicle. Bathrooms and laundry were very clean. Very quiet and peaceful and a perfect campground to serve as a home base to hike and see the many waterfalls in the area. The only side note is that you make sure you follow the directions on their website, which stresses the third "driveway" past the Post Office, or else you will miss the turn. We will definitely stay here again when in the area. We camped at Riverbend RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Riverbend RV Park exceeded all of our expectations. The park owners are fantastic hosts that care about your stay. The owners and seasonal campers we met were more than willing to share information for area recreation opportunities. The park is quiet and caters to adults. The entire park was very clean and well maintained. Restrooms/showers/grounds are spotless. We will definitely be back. We camped at Riverbend RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

We concur with all of the previous feedback re: the fantastic hosts, friendly & helpful seasonal campers, the quiet campground, beautiful landscape, creek with waterfalls, etc. This is our favorite campground ever! We Love this place! We searched for a campground in a location with cooler summer climates; this was the third one we toured. We knew immediately that this was the place. We made reservations for a month's stay. Enjoyed it so much, we extended our stay another month. Daily happy hours, weekly golf outings, grill outs, pot luck dinners & host-prepared meals are on the monthly calendar. This campground is geared towards adults, but families are welcome. We've always appreciated RV park reviews, although we have never written a review ourselves. We love this place so much, we felt compelled to sign-up and write a review so fellow campers can enjoy this gem. We camped at Riverbend RV Park in a Motorhome.

This is a small, very friendly campground with a focus on adults. Full outdoor kitchen in the gazebo, where the great owners regularly cook up meals for the campers, not to mention coffee in the morning. Tons of outdoors activities in the area (hiking, waterfalls, swimming...). Most sites provide ample shade. The entrance/exit is a bit tricky to navigate with a 40' fifth-wheel but the owners and hosts provide assistance and monitor traffic on the road to ensure a safe exit. We had a lovely stay and will definitely come back. We camped at Riverbend RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

It is a clean, shady park with spacious sites and friendly owners. My kids had a great time meeting the owners and full-timers (and their pets), and exploring the campground. There is a nice pavilion with a stone fireplace which was quite nice in the cool mornings and evenings. The owners put on a dinner one night and I think most of the campground was there...we had a great time meeting people. Level, concrete pads were a nice plus. It is a great campground. We can't wait to go back. We camped at Riverbend RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

We have stayed here many times and the owner and camp host are always gracious and ready to help. It's a small park, quiet and always clean. The kids love to play in the creek catching crawdads. There is plenty of room to walk the dog. Never yet had a bad experience here. We camped at Riverbend RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

This is a really nice campground, very quiet and peaceful. Trees and shrubs separated the sites. Take Hwy. 64 in from the east to avoid mountain roads. We camped at Riverbend RV Park in a Motorhome.

River Bend is an excellent RV campground. The owner who resides in Florida during the winter [lucky guy] is very pleasant and friendly. The campground facility with a fireplace and large screen tv is right next to the mountain stream near the entrance and is very cozy on a cold fall day or night with the fire blazing. The campsites are great. We stopped a couple of nights in October, 2001 on our way to Ohio from the Tampa Bay area. We had three little toy dogs and there was plenty of area to walk them in. We enjoyed the seclusion of being right next to the babbling stream with trees around us. This place would be great for an extended stay. Approaching from Clayton, Ga up through Highlands, NC is a bit of a driving nightmare, but once you get to Lake Toxaway, things get better, driving-wise. It would be easier to get here from Brevard ! One of the best campgrounds we have stayed in. We would stay there again, no problem. We camped at Riverbend RV Park in a Motorhome.
