This is the best park we have stayed at all summer. We put our 42' Fifth Wheel on their "basic" pull thru site and still had plenty of room for our Freightliner hauler. You can't ask for better park management. They will come around in their golf cart to check if there's anything you need. While other parks in the area were price gouging during the eclipse and hurricane Irma escapees, this park offered free spots in their overflow area. We camped at Rivers Edge Mountain RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Great park convenient to Downtown Murphy, NC. Just a clean, basic park with full hook-ups. Few shade trees, no pool or amenities. Sites are all concrete, level and wide. We stayed in a super site but there was little difference between these and the standard sites. Would've had plenty of room for 40 ft motorhome, toad and even another vehicle in standard sites. Large grassy area between all sites. Park is on the river. No swimming recommended for people or dogs due to strong currents. No dog park. Owner lives in RV on site and is helpful and accessible. We camped at Rivers Edge Mountain RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Don't recommend fish and chips at Parsons Pub. They bake the fries in convections oven.

This park is an RV, TT friendly park, no canvas sided campers. The park is excellently kept, clean bathhouse. Sites are level and have asphalt aprons leading to concrete pads and patios. Friendly management folks, and won't hesitate to stay again when in the area. There are three different price points for the campsites, 1) river front sites aisle 1, 2) supersize sites aisle 2, 3) standard (large) sites aisles 3-5. We camped at Rivers Edge Mountain RV Resort in a Travel Trailer.

Third time we have stayed here in the last eight months. Long pull through, long enough for our MH, towed veh, and another vehicle if we needed it. Paved streets, level pads, nice patio with fire pit. Nice lawns, easy hookups, good electric and cable tv. Had not had cell service before, ATT worked this time. Good WIFI. Stayed for a week this time, enjoyed the area, amazing scenery. We would return. We camped at Rivers Edge Mountain RV Resort in a Motorhome.

The campground is well maintained, the streets are easy to navigate, and the sides are big enough for any size of RV. Each sides provides a big, level concrete pad with patio, picnic table, a fire pit and a very big grass area on each side of the motorhome. The owner was very friendly, drove me around with his golf cart and let me pic my side. The wifi signal was pretty good, the speed was fast enough for web browsing and checking my emails. The only reason why I give this campground "only" a 7 is, that I never saw dirtier bathrooms on any campground for a whole week! In one bathroom there was a cotton swab in the middle of the floor for the last four days of our stay, the whole floor and the shower tube was so dirty that nobody would like to use it. I checked the bathrooms every day and in my opinion they didn't clean it the whole week. - The campground is (specially for this area) 9 points - The sides are 10 points - The bathrooms a 0 points. We camped at Rivers Edge Mountain RV Resort in a Motorhome.

First time we stayed in our motor home. We stayed for 3 nights. We had contact with three staff members and all were pleasant and helpful. We were shown to our site and assisted in parking. The grounds were clean and well trimmed. The spaces and lots were the largest and best planned we have encountered. Cable and wifi worked well. No problems entering or leaving in our 40 ft. MH. There were several MH/ buses staying which were larger than ours. We didn't have ATT service in the park but did immediately upon entering the nearby highway. We camped at Rivers Edge Mountain RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Very nicely laid out park with huge, extremely level sites, one row of which backs up to the Nottely River (which you're not supposed to swim in, sadly - I think). All the sites have a nice patio-ish type area for a picnic table. They pay careful attention to the landscaping, but they do seem to have a issue with moles so beware if you're walking along the river sites in stilettos. The camp host was super laid back - check in and check out times weren't strictly enforced (within reason, I'd assume - we didn't push it) and we were told to feel free to wash our rig and toad if we so desired. Verizon data service was good enough for us to do our day job and the Verizon voice service was sufficient for decent voice quality. WiFi is provided by the park but, as one might expect, could be sketchy if the park is full. My speed tests on their WiFi showed a 3Mb up/3Mb down connection. No issues at all getting DirecTV satellite reception. I'd love to give them a "10" but can't as they have fire pits at each site and, while large and level, there's not much shade to be had. In fact, if you desire afternoon/evening shade, avoid the back-in spots along the river and take a pull-through site. There was some road noise as you're right off a four-lane highway, but if you're on the far side of the park it's hardly noticeable even when outside. We camped at Rivers Edge Mountain RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

The new casino is 15-20 minutes away on the other side of Murphy - take a left out of the park and just keep going. Valley River Brewery is a good spot for craft beer and pizza - they're located in downtown Murphy.

Largest and most level Rv site we've ever had! All roads are paved and concrete. Grass was well taken care of. Hookups were excellent. Owners very friendly. We had an unexpected additional member stay with us-I called and asked how much extra-was told it was OK. There is road noise-but with the AC on you can't hear it. Will definitely return! My rating reflects our opinion that the campground has little charm or personality. It is an excellent "RV Park", but not what we call a "campground". The sites are very long, and reasonably spaced from each other. The sites all face the same direction (NE) thus no afternoon shade on the curbside of the rig. Trees are few and far between and located where they could seldom provide any shade. And thus our satellite TV worked fine. The local cable TV was excellent. The man that checked us in was very helpful. The laundry was excellent. And the campground wifi was as good as it gets!! The later being a rather rare event amongst the campgrounds we visit. Our Verizon phones worked fine. They have a few sites along the river site but they were $59 per night, and the river, perhaps 40 feet behind the sites, would not be visible from the site. We camped at Rivers Edge Mountain RV Resort in a Travel Trailer.

Nice park with very helpful host. Sites are extremely large for a commercial park and are billiard table flat and level. Pads are concrete with a patio extension. Paved interior roads with access from the highway very easy. Hookups are as good as they get. For the downside; this a converted pasture with sites lined up in an orderly fashion and if you’re lucky you get a small tree. Nearby road noise apparent but not all that annoying. I didn’t check out the laundry or bathhouse but based on the general maintenance and upkeep I’m sure they are much more than adequate. If in the area I will stay here again although I prefer more privacy and less order in my life. We camped at Rivers Edge Mountain RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Owner/manager is very accommodating. Very nice park, well maintained. Great for big rigs with large pull-throughs and plenty of room to spread out between you and your neighbor. Nice back-ins next to the river as well. We spent some time here last summer and decided to return for a month this year. If you just want to relax and enjoy camping, plan a visit to this campground. You won't be sorry. We camped at Rivers Edge Mountain RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Would be a higher score, except no pool and some gnats this year. Not terrible but a bit annoying. Owner keeps this park really neat, clean and mowed! We really like the entertainment facility that he has with some excellent entertainment, and cook outs! Laundry is excellent, in a nice club house with TV and WIFi that works well. Most sites have nice fire pit and table and owner has wood right there. Verizon does well here but ATT is not good at the park. Stayed here last year for 3 weeks, this year a month. A month ranges from 499 to 699 per month depending on location in the park. We were in # 37 and it was nice. No shade but lots of nice lawn space between sites! Great concrete pads, all pull through with plenty of length for big rigs! Overall, we recommend this RV Park as a nice base for an extended stay and sightseeing spot for NC, Northern GA, and Tennessee. We WILL definitely stay here again! We camped at Rivers Edge Mountain RV Resort in a Motorhome.

This is a big rig friendly park. We had no problem with utilities and the water was good. It was impossible to get a spot with a friendly direction to point (we prefer facing NE or NW). All the sites face East or West so we chose to face West and have a shade on our door side. There are no activities planned. It is about 90 miles to the Great Smokey Mountain NP. Nanthala Gorge is about 40 miles. Tail of the Dragon is about 30 miles. The river is not usable for any water activity. The Knottly river is filled with downed trees and has a soft bottom. It is unpredictable when the Knottly Dam will release water for electricity production. The water level will dramatically raise at different times to flood levels. Do not allow your kids to play in this dangerous waterway. A high powered mower was used next to our coach with the rubber discharge guard removed. The high powered mower was used as a blower to clean off parking pads. There are rocks shooting everywhere due to no discharge guard keeping things directed at the ground. (we see this at lots of parks) We enjoyed fishing and boating at Blue Ridge lake in nearby Georgia. We camped at Rivers Edge Mountain RV Resort in a Motorhome.

A great campground for big rigs; no sweaty headaches here. Not many activities available within the resort, but all the sites are premium with paved, level, ultra-long runs and first-rate hookups, perfect for an overnighter or a few days. The owner was very friendly and helpful, providing us with information on the area as well as pointing out everything at our site when we arrived. Located about ten minutes from Murphy, a nice little town with all services. Will definitely camp here again when in the area. We camped at Rivers Edge Mountain RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.
