Very quiet, small, spotless RV park in a beautiful setting looking across a pond at Pilot Mountain. Owners are very friendly and helpful. Only 10 sites. No fenced dog park but plenty of space to walk the dog. Excellent bathroom/shower and laundry facilities. AT&T cell service is mostly good but does come and go. Have stayed here several times over the last year. We camped at Greystone RV Park in a Motorhome.

Overall Rating:

This is a very small but beautiful RV park with only about 10 sites. Each site has a level concrete pad, fire pit, picnic table, and a great view of Pilot Mountain. The grounds have rolling grassy hills and a small pond. The bathroom facilities are immaculate, shower looks like it would be in a hotel resort. Extremely clean and well appointed. The campground is owned by a married couple who provide great service to their guests. The location is great... minutes away from Pilot Mountain State Park, about 20-25 minutes from Hanging Rock State Park, and close to Mount Airy ("Mayberry") and historic Winston-Salem. We camped at Greystone RV Park in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Definitely do the hike around the base of Pilot Mountain... amazing views and incredible rock formations! Also, check out Hanging Rock State Park, but don't miss the "Lower Cascades"... not well marked, but incredibly beautiful after a short hike from the parking lot. While there, don't forget to visit Mayberry (Mt. Airy) and have an ice cream float!

For our purposes, which was to have a base of operations for exploring the area, Greystone was perfect. If you are looking for a "destination" campground with activities galore, this might not suit you. Very friendly owners who are all about making sure the customer is happy. They are very knowledgeable of the local area and a great source for things to do. Nice long level sites with average spacing in between. Great views of Pilot Mountain. Best bathroom/shower facilities I've ever seen in 22 years of RVing. Also, the best water pressure I've ever had in my rig. We had no problems entering the park from the west - and I'm towing a 41' fifth wheel with a long bed crew cab. Be careful leaving if you head towards US 52 - I had to swing well out into the opposite lane so my 5er would clear the brick pillars. Definitely spend a few days here exploring the area. We camped at Greystone RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Super nice park. If you are in the Winston Salem area of NC and looking for a serene location to stay in an RV, this is the place! Exceptionally maintained, spectacular views, quaint and ultra peaceful. I can't say enough about how nice and accommodating the owners are. Best WiFi of any park I've ever stayed in. Anytime I am in this area or passing through, I will definitely stay here again. We camped at Greystone RV Park in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

If you have a long rig and tow vehicle, call the owners for alternative directions. GPS will bring you in from the west which is a very tight turn. It's not impossible, but it is tight. At least look at the satellite view before you approach to see the entrance. If you're looking for advice on the local area, be sure to ask the owners.

Stayed 4 nights while working in Winston-Salem.

As mentioned, owners are very nice, friendly, and helpful.

Small CG with 10 sites, all concrete pads which made it easy to set up and level. Good water pressure. Antenna TV picked up 25+ stations. Wi-fi was fair most of the time experienced low signal or loss occasionally. There is a small pond down in a valley that the sites overlook. There was traffic noise from US52. Good view of Pilot Mountain. No dog park, yet. One is planned. This is a good base camp if working or visiting the area. Not far from Mt. Airy. We camped at Greystone RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

The family that owns and operates this park is very friendly and helpful. The sites are large and level with convenient hook ups. The whole place is clean and well maintained. It is close to and has a great view of Pilot Mountain. The bathrooms and showers are first class. The entrance is a tight turn when approached from the west, so it is worthwhile to contact the park for directions if you have a long rig. We camped at Greystone RV Park in a Motorhome.

Small (only ten sites) RV park with every site giving you a front row seat of Pilot Mountain. Every site has a large, wide concrete pad that can easily accommodate even the largest rigs. Each site has full hook up, although no cable is offered. WIFI was strong and speedy. Good spacing between each site. The entire resort is in immaculate and spotless condition. The park is within an easy drive to many of the Yadkin Valley vineyards, and beautiful little towns like Mt. Airy. Many of the local vineyards also have great restaurants and/or areas for picnicking. If you are into hiking nearby Pilot Mountain and Hanging Rock parks offer tons of trails. We will definitely be back. We camped in a 36' class A MH, with tow vehicle. We stayed here on our way to Concord, NC to drop the RV off for service. We saw the good ratings and decided to give them a try and we were not disappointed. The owner's were so very nice and even helped me get hooked up at the site, which are wide, long, and pretty level. When I said the helped with the hookup I need to add that there are no lights at the sites which I thought strange...until I looked up and saw a spectacular display of stars! There is no doubt that we will return. We camped at Greystone RV Park in a Motorhome.

10 large sites at the base of Pilot Mountain, what a view!! Easy check-in, they came to the site. Very low key and quiet. They have a catch and release pond and I enjoyed watching the boy in the next site fish. We stayed here because of the easy access to wonderful roads for motorcycle riding. Beautiful area with several state parks located nearby for hiking. Would definitely stay there again. We camped at Greystone RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Great park with only 10 sites that are all new. Very level concrete pads, wifi was fast and strong signal. All sites face the Pilot Mountain park and have an excellent view of the mountain. Big rigs with toads need to approach the entrance from the east as it requires a very tight turn at the entrance, after that there is plenty of room. We will stay there again and would highly recommend Greystone. We camped there in a 45ft. motorhome. We camped at Greystone RV Park in a Motorhome.

Easy access from US-52. Wide entrance in spacious interior. All 10 sites are concrete pull-throughs with water, 30/50-amp electric and sewer service plus a table and fire ring. No CATV and spotty WiFi. Excellent Verizon and AT&T cell coverage and a few digital OTA TV channels. Owners are super friendly and helpful and "went the extra mile" for us several times during our extended stay. Quiet and clean park with nice fishing pond for entertainment and a state park just a mile away for hiking & rock climbing. We camped at Greystone RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Be sure to take at least a few minutes to visit Pilot Knob State Park just down the road. You can drive to parking lot at top, then walk or hike on sidewalks and trails ranging from short, quick and easy to longer and more strenuous. Truly something for everybody, including a modest visitor center.

This is a great park. Only three years old, the facilities are clean, modern and all well maintained. The operators are friendly and engaging. The view of Andy Griffith's MT Pilate is stunning. There are ten level cement slabs with 50 amp service and full hookups that easily accommodated my 38 foot Class A MH. Each of the slabs have their own fire pit. The bathrooms are clean and close to the slabs. The owners are dog friendly and our family had an enjoyable time. It was slightly challenging finding the park using my Garmin RV as it was not listed in the menu. That said, we still found it. We will go again! We camped at Greystone RV Park in a Motorhome.
