1 Park near Roanoke Rapids, North Carolina
Nov 2015 - $30.00
If you arrive after 5 pm and take one of about 15 simple pull through sites, the fee is $30. Still full hookup. Is a good mile off of I -95 , surrounded by woods, mainly gravel sites. Some semi- perm sites but it does look nice.
Facilities were very nice. - KenAndrews

We actually stayed here for 4 nights. It is definitely a hot spot for overnighters headed south. Starting at 2 pm, the sites started filing up, by noon the next day the place was almost deserted.
The people running the place were pleasant and non-intrusive. When they say the office hours are 9-5 they mean it. At 5:01, they are gone. After dark arrivals have the option to pull into a site near the entrance with water and electric for the night. Drainage is poor in the paved pull through sites in the front, but the back-in spaces along the side were a bit dryer.
Really nothing to do here. The park is in a newer development area. If the pool cues had tips, I could have shot some pool. - jplante4

Spent one night here on the way to Florida. Very accommodating to overnighters. Paved sites were level and all are pull-thru sites. Bath house was clean.
Certainly the best place around this part of Northern North Carolina. It had rained before we arrived and drainage was terrible. Lots of large deep shoe-covering puddles made it difficult to set up the site for the night.
The nearby town of Roanoke Rapids was nothing special. But there is a historic village about 5 miles away that is interesting.
Overall a good place to stop for the night. - Creativepart
