This is a great stop over when traveling I-95 between Florida & New York. Easy access to I-95 but far enough away behind rows of trees to eliminate road noise. Clean level FHU sites with pool, hot tub, laundry and dog park all at a very reasonable price. The wife & schnauzer both like it. We camped at The RV Resort at Carolina Crossroads in a Motorhome.

This park has the right idea. A great inexpensive place to spend the night with all the hookups. All drive thru sites, all level all connections in the right place. They have what they call an express section they use exclusively for overnighters for a reasonable price. The place is also immaculate. Laundry room, showers, toilets etc. are spotless. This is our second stay and anytime we are passing through this area we will plan on spending the night here if it fits our schedule. We camped at The RV Resort at Carolina Crossroads in a Fifth Wheel.

Finally got to use our Free Night card - stay five times, get 6th free. Past 4 times passing through, they've been full before we call to see if there's room. While they assured us there'd be plenty of sites the night we wanted, we still asked that they hold a site for us. We arrived after the office closed, but they did indeed have a site reserved for us - both with a notice on the door as well as a highway cone at the entrance to the site to keep others from just taking it. There is a lot of construction on the outer edge of the park going on, don't know if it's for them or something else. We'll see in the future. Dog park is awesome with a good sized area to let pup run around. Pool was open but we didn't use it - was "too hot" for us to go outside. Left early the next morning so didn't get to interact with staff in person on this visit. But we will be back again (if they have room when we want to stop). We camped at The RV Resort at Carolina Crossroads in a Truck Camper.

This is a very nice park that we've stayed at before. Convenient to rt 95 and good roads to the park and in the park. Very clean park with a nice pool, although we did not use it. All pull through sites with picnic tables and full hook ups. Wifi worked good at our site and there are very few trees so satellite worked good. Cable has local channels and some cable channels. We definitely will stay here again. We camped at The RV Resort at Carolina Crossroads in a Motorhome.

There had been a lot of rain, and the first site they gave us was flooded. I'm not complaining about that,; we ran through torrential rain on the way there. We were told to take one that wasn't, so we took our choice. There is no shade whatsoever here. The hookups are in the wrong places. If I wanted to hook up the holding tank, the end of the trailer would be out in the road even with both lengths of hose. As it was, we pulled up in the morning long enough to dump tanks. The water faucet is at the end of a hose that comes from a hole in the ground. I've never seen a hookup like that before in over 10,000 miles and 4 years of camping. The water itself was OK. I was glad to have a filter, just in case. There is a gas station real close to the park which is nice. Bottom Line: OK for a one night stand. We camped at The RV Resort at Carolina Crossroads in a Travel Trailer.

Great option for a quick overnight. As we drove up, it lacked curb appeal and looked like a big parking lot. However, as you enter you see that there is in fact some landscaping, a nice little heated pool and a very nice bathouse. Office hours are 9-5 so if you arrive past 5, you have to choose your own site from a map and either put money in an envelope or pay in the morning. There is a no-frills option with no cable (and antenna did not pick up much) and no concrete pad. Our site was a bit off-level and took some fiddling to level up. Wifi was poor in the evening unless you sat outside office, but improved overnight. Rate was very reasonable, and we would definitely stay here again. We camped at The RV Resort at Carolina Crossroads in a Travel Trailer.

Overall Rating:

This park served as a pit-stop for us on our summer journey. It's very easy access off of the 95. Check in was simple and we were given a pull through site. Sites are roomier than many parks we've visited. Our site was a concrete pad, easy to level and came equipped with a picnic table. We were told it was 60' in length, but we couldn't manage to fit our tow-car in the space with the motorhome, so not confident in the accuracy of their measurement. They do have convenient overflow parking. Electric worked flawlessly in 95-100 degree heat. They do offer cable with limited channels, but not a lot of trees or shade, so the satellite should work as well. Very large dog park. Also a nice pool area to cool off. Great stop off park if you're heading up (or down) I-95. Wifi is okay, although they have some sort of bandwidth metering system in place. Not certain what the attraction is to this area, but the place was packed, and some look like they've been here for a while. All in all, nice park. We'd stay here again for a night or so if in the area. We camped at The RV Resort at Carolina Crossroads in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Two historical towns close by that are worth visiting -- Halifax which is rich with history, and Weldon, which in addition to the historical component, is also the "Rockfish Capital of the World." Nice, large antique mall in an old mill in Weldon. Each town is not too far from the RV park.

This is a fantastic RV park and is of "resort" quality. Nice well landscaped large and level full-hookup sites. Great pool, well sized dog park. Design and engineering of the park is excellent! It deserved the highest ratings and one of the best we've visited. If in the area, we will definitely stay here again. Very reasonably priced. Excellent cable and WiFi! Carolina Crossroads has easy access from I95. There is a great fenced dog area and a nice pool. Our site was on the end of the row so we had a fairly large grassy area. The temps were 90+ degrees and we had no electric issues. (We have 3 a/c units). You do need to travel to the next exit for restaurants and groceries. When it rains the gravel sites are a mess. We would request a concrete p/t if we return. Satellite reception was great. There are lots of permanents in this Campground. We camped at The RV Resort at Carolina Crossroads in a Motorhome.

Convenient stop off I95 with good facilities and decent wifi. Price was reasonable. This isn't really a place with anything around it or a lot to do for a multiday stay...but as a travel stop it provides good value. Limited cable channels...no ESPN or other sports networks but good assortment of other stations Will stop again. We camped at The RV Resort at Carolina Crossroads in a Motorhome.

As others have said...one exit north is a Walmart and lots and lots of stores and restaurants. The Chinese place and Mexican place in the Walmart center were both good and reasonably priced.

This was an overnight stay. A couple of years ago we had a one week stay. This RV resort has the usual amenities that good resorts have. The staff is very friendly and efficient. Check in was rapid. All sites are pull through, some blacktop some gravel. Sites have a patio with picnic table. All sites have full hook up and can accommodate all size RV's from our Class B to our former 45 foot MH. There are a pool and hot tub. The pool was not ready yet, but should be shortly. They have a game area for the kids and mini golf for those so inclined. The showers and rest rooms were all in one area. They perhaps could use some updating although they were very usable. There are a few cabins. The only complaint (very minor) is that many of the long stay users (many sites occupied by these people) are workers that leave early in the morning. There were many fifth wheels and just a few MH's during this stay. Reservations are a definite plus as there were no vacancies during our stay mid-week. We camped at The RV Resort at Carolina Crossroads in a Motorhome.

Excellent stopover off I95, and you can tell it is a favorite with many other travelers...when we arrived at around 1 pm, many open sites, by 5pm, every site taken. Be sure you call ahead and make a reservation. Convenient pull thrus, good placement of utilities. Even though right off the freeway, no road noise whatsoever. Very nice pool with a water slide. This is a great place for a one-nighter and probably longer. We've been using RVR@CC for a few years now as one of our favoriteeast coast stops. Clean, convenient and comfortable. I like this place enough to break my own rule to not spend another dollar in North Carolina. i.e. H.B.2 We camped at The RV Resort at Carolina Crossroads in a Motorhome.

The RV park is very clean ,well laid out and easy to get to. They also have a dog play area. My only complaint and it appears this is becoming more and more common is you must have a digital tv otherwise you will end up with mostly off the wall tv channels. We tried our antenna with digital converter and np better. The Wifi is great. We camped at The RV Resort at Carolina Crossroads in a Motorhome.
