There had been a lot of rain, and the first site they gave us was flooded. I'm not complaining about that,; we ran through torrential rain on the way there. We were told to take one that wasn't, so we took our choice. There is no shade whatsoever here. The hookups are in the wrong places. If I wanted to hook up the holding tank, the end of the trailer would be out in the road even with both lengths of hose. As it was, we pulled up in the morning long enough to dump tanks. The water faucet is at the end of a hose that comes from a hole in the ground. I've never seen a hookup like that before in over 10,000 miles and 4 years of camping. The water itself was OK. I was glad to have a filter, just in case. There is a gas station real close to the park which is nice. Bottom Line: OK for a one night stand. We camped at The RV Resort at Carolina Crossroads in a Travel Trailer.

Overall Rating:

Great option for a quick overnight. As we drove up, it lacked curb appeal and looked like a big parking lot. However, as you enter you see that there is in fact some landscaping, a nice little heated pool and a very nice bathouse. Office hours are 9-5 so if you arrive past 5, you have to choose your own site from a map and either put money in an envelope or pay in the morning. There is a no-frills option with no cable (and antenna did not pick up much) and no concrete pad. Our site was a bit off-level and took some fiddling to level up. Wifi was poor in the evening unless you sat outside office, but improved overnight. Rate was very reasonable, and we would definitely stay here again. We camped at The RV Resort at Carolina Crossroads in a Travel Trailer.

We stayed here on way to Florida and then back on the return. It's a convenient stop along 95. All sites allow you to park, hook, and depart very fast. The lounge outside the bathroom is nice. We camped at The RV Resort at Carolina Crossroads in a Travel Trailer.

I love this camp ground. The lady at the front desk goes above and beyond for the guests at the campground. She is extremely helpful and very nice. This place is very clean and has a very big dog run area. Pull thrus are easy to get in and out of. I will recommend this rv campground to everyone it's a great place to stay long and short term. I always plan on staying here to and from Florida. There is not a better value in my travels. Large sites , stone and grass. Wifi , cable and a pool with outdoor whirlpool. Free coffee and donuts in AM. Quiet but easy off and on 95. We camped at The RV Resort at Carolina Crossroads in a Travel Trailer.

Great location, friendly and helpful staff. We stayed there two nights on our way to Florida from Canada so that we could set up our trailer before heading south. Was able to wash our unit on site. Would have like to have seen more privacy between the lots, trees etc. However lots are a nice size and mostly pull thrus,. Will definitely stay here again! If you arrive after 5 pm and take one of about 15 simple pull through sites, the fee is $30. Still full hookup. Is a good mile off of I -95 , surrounded by woods, mainly gravel sites. Some semi- perm sites but it does look nice.

Facilities were very nice. We camped at The RV Resort at Carolina Crossroads in a Travel Trailer.

Stayed here driving back from New England to Fla. Requested pull thru site was spacious. This is obviously an old flat cow pastured turned into a rather nice CG. Bathroom/showers very clean. All services worked as they should. ATT and Verizon signals strong for both data and voice. Although the pad and roads were high and dry, the grass surrounding the camp site was 2 inches deep with rain water. Where can it go on such a flat facility? Roads are paved in the front; gravel/crushed shell in the back. Most of the sites in this CG are occupied with long term residents. This is a very nice park, with good sized pull through sites. Some are paved, some gravel, and all have grass, concrete patios, and picnic tables. We did not see any rigs that appear to be here permanently. The park is very well kept up. Restrooms and showers are very clean and modern, but we did not use them as we were just traveling through. There is a very nice, large swimming pool. There is an outdoor pavilion with a fireplace, pool table, and other tables to sit at. There is cable TV. There is unsecured wifi, but the signal was weak at our site. the sewer connection is close to the front of the site, which was inconvenient for us because we did not want to unhitch. If we had been staying for longer, this would not have been a problem. We camped at The RV Resort at Carolina Crossroads in a Travel Trailer.

Most, but not all, of the campers were one night stop overs travelling Interstate 95. Site was a full hookup pull through. Site was level, gravel with a small concrete pad for picnic table.Resort looks almost new, very well maintained. No shade. Cable and WiFi worked flawlessly. Pull throughs do not have fire rings and are close together. At the end of each row there is an open area with either a fire ring or a Gazebo. Back in sites have fire rings. Tips for other Campers:

There are numerous restaurants and services available one exit North on I-95 (about two miles) in Weldon, NC. They tend to be the large chain type but OK. There are a couple of restaurants in Roanoke Rapids-Oscars has sort of a diner atmosphere but food is ok, and David's is more upscale.

This is a very nice park that caters mostly to the snowbirders, so there are a lot of one nighters. The bathrooms and showers are roomy and very well maintained. The staff are friendly and very helpful. A continental breakfast is also provided. We will be staying here again. We camped at The RV Resort at Carolina Crossroads in a Travel Trailer.
