2 Parks near Sunset Beach, North Carolina
May 2016 - $50.00
Stayed here 3 nights on the way to Wilmington. Roads and sites are gravel in pretty good shape. Sites are reasonably level and very spacious. I was driving a 45 foot long Motorhome and had no problem maneuvering. All utilities worked great. Water pressure was 60 psi and the WiFi had recently been upgraded. It was the best service I've had in weeks. Everyone was very friendly. It is a short drive to the beach, but the beach is lovely. This park is also really quiet day and night. I would stay here again. - Archer2

Stayed one night on the way to N. Myrtle Beach. Selected this as it was fairly close to Wilmington NC, and the battleship display at USS North Carolina. Lovely camp, clean and on a Saturday night, not crowded. Camp ground directory that we use gave it good marks, and we completely agree.
Sites are a good size, and all services worked as advertised. Dog walking is easy and lots of property walking back towards the main road, provides an interesting and lengthy walking experience. No area for off leash though.
This camp is not on water. I had expected it to be closer to the Atlantic Ocean. Perhaps 5 miles away from ocean. - P_J Ontario

This park is an old KOA but now a Good Sam park. Its an older park with nice spacious sites , friendly staff , and great beach area. There are a mix of sunny and shaded spots. Utilities are in good working order and correct location. Location is ideal for a drive to sunset beaches and restaurants. Food shopping is a short drive away. This park could use some updating and interior road maintenance. We would visit again - Mamaluca

Water is from a well and has a odd taste. Sites are narrow and was difficult to maneuver with our 36' - however saw 40' MH parked there. Had to trim trees to keep them from dragging on top of our 5vr. The road into the park is difficult to find the first time - and potholes makes entering and exiting difficult. Park has a storage parking area as you enter full of very old boats, trailers, and RVs. This is a PA park and you can't beat the price for the area. The over air channels work in the area. The mosquitoes were beyond awful - two drainage areas on both sides of the park must encourage their breeding areas. We didn't spend much time in the park so it met our needs. We will probably stay there again since we have family in the area. Rate based on monthly rate. - westie0506

This is an older park with 30 amp service. The roads need pot holes filled in. There are less than 15 sites for motor homes or trailers. The sites are level with water, sewer, electric. It is an OK overnight stop. We would stay here again if passing through. - Full Timers McC
