2 Parks near Tabor City, North Carolina
Nov 2015 - $23.00
Beautiful little park in the country run by very friendly owners. Sites are still fairly new and could use more frequent grading. Tight turns for big rigs, but manageable. Utilities are new and excellent as was the WiFi. We didn't opt for the $4/day cable TV. We easily picked up over 20 channels with our antenna. Office closed on Sunday and office hours fairly limited otherwise. Phone calls went unanswered but we just took a chance and popped-in. Glad we did. Very quiet atmosphere and only half-hour drive to Myrtle Beach.
Excellent value at PA rate although it wasn't a true 50% off. This is becoming a much too common trend that we think hurts a campground's reputation and isn't worth the extra couple dollars they receive. No one wants to feel like they've been "nickeled and dimed".
Highly recommend this campground and we would return in a heartbeat! - Full-Time Roamers

Stayed here during the holiday weekend. This is a small family owned camp ground and the workers are very nice and helpful;. They wen tout of there way to ensure I had cable. I wasn't able to get strong cell phone signal, however they had good WiFi for a camp ground. The CG is not paved the roads are dirt/gravel. They have a nice walking trail. The CG seems to have a lot of full time campers however they kept there sites decently clean. I would camp here again. - Coachgrady

Very warm and inviting welcome from staff and camp host. We found the winery station onsite a plus, wine tasting was a big hit. Staff at the winery house were very friendly. We found this to be a small park, which needs some TLC. The park has some hiking trails, however, the trails, leaves and shrubbery at the park need some maintenance. Many campers were long term, and these RV's appeared really rough, which presented a negative look on the park. Wi-Fi was weak and not reliable. DirecTV (free standing satellite) had no issue. Verizon phones were able to get a 3g signal. Some leveling was needed, as our site was located on sand/dirt. Water pressure was strong, use regulator. Pull through sites are available. - HappyCampers227

We are full time RVers, travel 12 months a year volunteering. After doing this for several years we decided to take a few months rest. We actually stayed here 2 and 1/2 months and can say this is a really great park. Extremely clean, great staff, large paved mostly pull thru sites, all level, grass at each, no mud, most roads paved with the rest scheduled for paving. As one reviewer pointed out only a few shaded sites as most are in the open with no shade. Since our stay here started in early February we wanted sun because this winter/early spring was still quite cold so wanted the benefit of the sun. This park is family owned and slowly but surely being upgraded even more. Trees have been planted at every site put still too small to provide shade. Beautiful large clean pool that seems quite new. Open all year but restaurant and store open around Easter. Ice cream parlor too. The rate was very reasonable at $350 per month with extended stays paying electric at 11 cents per KWH which we found to be very reasonable when compared to many parks that charge 14 to 15 cents per. We have stayed at many parks during our travels and this is one of the very best. Lakes, fishing, lots of activities during high season. Most of the off season visitors are there for several months from up north. No junky trash RVs seen. - alh
Jan 2015 - $35.00
Very nice park that is located driving distance to South Carolina beaches. Nice and clean facilities with large lots and clean restrooms and showers. Nice sized water park with slides and multiple pools. Park seems to be geared towards families with kids. There were a lot of teenagers when went during the summer time. When we camped here during the winter was few campers there so was nice and quiet. We did not have a camper on our whole row. This is without a doubt one of the best parks that we have traveled to. We will be going here again. - Coachgrady

We camped on a quad with 3 other units/friends. The quads are wonderful when you are camping with friends, lots of community area. We played mini golf, ate ice cream, played candy bar BINGO. Too chilly for the pool. This campground is awesome! Great place for children. - deeremom
