No discounts offered at this park. Sites are long, pull-thru and grass. Very basic, but it is in farm country. Grass had not been mowed at our site so it was a bit overgrown. Swimming pool was not yet open for the season. Only one other site was occupied during our stay. Would stay again if in the area. We camped at Farm Country Campground in a Motorhome.
Date of Stay: October, 2014 - $30.00
The campsites are long, grassy, with good utilities. Interior roads are gravel. The camping pads could use some gravel. We stayed here two nights. We there just before Halloween and the Deadwood Restaurant is located just across the road. Excellent food and they have other activities in season. We took the "haunted train ride", fun evening. Our friends enjoyed seeing the cotton fields nearby and watching the harvest. We camped at Farm Country Campground in a Motorhome.
Date of Stay: September, 2014 - $30.00
Very nice new campground. The staff (and owner) are very helpful. This is a great location if you are traveling US 17. A 10 minute drive to all facilities in Williamston. Would recommend this campground. Rated a 9 because all grass sites. We camped at Farm Country Campground in a Travel Trailer.
We found Farm Country Campground when we had to evacuate the Outer Banks due to hurricane Arthur. The campground is not very old so it has that "new" feeling. Sites are nicely sized so that you have ample room. There is no shade as the trees were planted when the campground was put in a few years ago. The grass had been bush-hogged but not "mowed" so for us was a bit too tall and pretty much made you feel like you were definitely camping in a field. The sites had no gravel but were almost level. Staff and owners were super nice and always helpful. Pool was nice and had a handicapped lift. Bathrooms, laundry rooms and office area were all very clean. Deadwood theme park is across the road and is a cute distraction for a couple hours. Everybody said the food at the restaurant there was good but we did not eat there. All in all a nice, quiet, family campground out in the middle of "Farm Country"! We camped at Farm Country Campground in a Travel Trailer.
Date of Stay: April, 2014 - $35.00
The name says it all—deep, cushiony grass covers the entire park. We enjoyed 3 quiet, peaceful days here. The park is surrounded by farm fields and the fields are surrounded by forests, about 5 miles from town and U.S. Highway 17 (worth the drive). Excellent maintenance—mowing is done by mowers attached to relatively quiet farm tractors, doesn’t take all day. Open all year, 40X100 foot very spacious level pull-through sites with no parking obstructions (easy in and easy out) have conveniently placed full hookup facilities including all-season water spigots, 50# water pressure, 30 & 50 amp power. Medium size tree at each site. Very clean bathrooms with 2 washer and 2 dryer laundry. No speed bumps! ? No highway or train noise! ? TV reception: major networks + 3 PBS stations. One bar Verizon signal. Friendly staff, no discounts from $30 30 amp sites and $35 50 amp sites. Playground. In mid-April, the swimming pool and pond were not open. There is a restaurant and a small amusement park across the road from the RV park. No recycling. ? We camped at Farm Country Campground in a Fifth Wheel.
Date of Stay: January, 2014 - $30.00
This is a newly developed campground. Excellent facilities including a small stocked fishing pond. The owner was extremely helpful with an RV mechanical problem. Also there is a restaurant across the street that is owned by the CG. We camped at Farm Country Campground in a Motorhome.
