My husband and I had a confirmed reservation at another nearby campground but when we arrived there were no spaces available and the owner did not bother to call us. It was 8:15 PM and getting dark. We were in a real bind as this is a rather rural area with few services along the road after dark. We were faced with a long drive home arriving in the early morning or finding another campground. Luckily I chose to call the Pierce Mobile Estates & Travel Trailer Park. Mr. Pierce picked up the call even though it was after hours. We told him we could not arrive before 9:30 PM and asked if we could pick a spot and pay him in the morning. He said he would try to meet us and take us to a spot when we arrived. Because Google maps had the location wrong we ended up in the town of Williamston rather than at the RV park on Garrett Rd. We almost gave up but remembered that Mr. Pierce had been conscientious and given me his address. Of course it was different than the Google map location. At 10:05 PM we pulled into the campground and as promised Mr. Pierce was there waiting for us on his golf cart. We quickly hooked up to 50 amp service and water. This site does not provide showers or toilets so you must be self-sufficient. I cannot say enough about how kind and helpful Mr. Pierce was to us. He turned a very bad night into a wonderful experience. The sites are grassy, cut short, level and the feeling is wide open. I would not hesitate to recommend this campground. There are not a lot of extras but that is reflected in the cost. We camped at Pierce Mobile Estates & Travel Trailer Park in a Travel Trailer.
Tips for other Campers:
As a previous reviewer mentioned, a Walmart Supercenter is about a mile away with some local restaurants as well as fast food chains, gas, etc. nearby. This site is just minutes from alternate 64.
Friendly owners. This place has a few mobile homes, a few long term RVers, and several spots for travelers. The owners take pride in it and things are clean and well cared for. Gravel roads with large grass sites. All utilities worked well. No cable but good wifi and strong Verizon signal. Walmart super center a mile up the road along with resturants, gas, diesel, etc. There is a Murphy gas station with diesel that looked like it could be negotiated with a big rig -try it at your own risk. Good place to stay. Cash only. We camped at Pierce Mobile Estates & Travel Trailer Park in a Motorhome.
Tips for other Campers:
The Hitchin' Post resturant is a good place to eat.

These rates reflect a Good Sams discount. Dirt road to a grassy field with hookups. Easily found. No cable but good wifi connection although I had to ask for the code as well as a receipt for my cash payment. It is fine for an overnight stay while driving through. We saw no shower house or bathrooms. We would stay here again. We camped at Pierce Mobile Estates & Travel Trailer Park in a Travel Trailer.
Date of Stay: August, 2013 - $22.00
This is a small, but very well maintained campground, if you discount the difficulty in getting into the circuit breaker box to turn on your electric. Grass sites that are well kept and mowed. Good electric power and water. Small, above ground swimming pool to bob in, no shade and it is hot, hot in August, friendly folks running the camp, and very quiet. We were the only camper in the pull through site area. Easy to get to from US-64, but the entrance is small so don't try and drive up to the office. Just park on the small driveway leading to the campground. I would highly recommend this park to those that are heading to the Outer Banks of NC, as it is a good spot to spend the night prior to the last 100 miles to the beach. If you like quiet, this is the place for you. Rate reflects Good Sam discount. This camp is "Big Rig" accessible. We camped at Pierce Mobile Estates & Travel Trailer Park in a Motorhome.

Very friendly owners. Very large sites for even the largest RVs. Park was very well maintained with gravel roads and grass sites. Had no problem negotiating curves and turns in the park. Would liked to have had picnic tables but really wasn't an issue as we only stayed one night. Will stop here again and spend more time the next time we're in the area. We camped at Pierce Mobile Estates & Travel Trailer Park in a Motorhome.

We DID NOT STAY at this campground. The sign on the interstate should be taken down. It is run down, roads are too narrow to navigate with a motorhome of any size. I was very proud to get out of here without hitting something. I will attempt to come here again with my motor home. We camped at Pierce Mobile Estates & Travel Trailer Park in a Motorhome.
