1 Park near Wilson, North Carolina
Nov 2015 - $23.00
Dont let the looks from the road fool you--this is a pretty nice park. Nice in that it is well maintained--maintenance was busy with various projects around the park while I was there-- it is older but they are not letting it feel old. The sites are roomy with a patio, picnic table and fire ring. My spot was perfectly level and hookups were easy. It is a busy park but everyone's site was tidy with no shabby looking units and it is very quiet. I was parked in the middle of the park and I could hear some of the highway noise if I was outside or had my door open but it was not intrusive. Minimal artificial light at night. Access to the park is pretty easy but depending on which direction you are coming from you might have to go several miles once you get off your highway. Nice washers and dryers in laundry room at a great price. Plenty of grassy areas to walk my dog. I would definitely stay here again if I should be coming back through Wilson. - nanzhere

Before booking we check passport america website and their website to verify their rate. They do not give the Passport America rate, we only needed a 30 amp and paid the higher rate. Pictures not as per their website. Old campground, not well maintained. Old washrooms and not very clean. Washer and dryer newer and clean. A lot of old campers or rv's on site with seasonal friendly campers, not like the staff. Noise from Hwy 301 and from the trains running not far from the park. We would not stay here again. - Liz & Bob

This is a basic RV Park and probably the best for the area. Not a lot of shade but sites were flat, gravel, and very decent spacing. The store was a little worn for wear but the staff is very helpful and friendly. WiFi is weak - nothing new.
My wife did laundry (no a/c) - but, got it done. Our Mini Schinauzer enjoyed the collection of Donkeys.
We stayed here mainly on reviews from this site and I would stay here again if in the area. Wilson is a great little town - love the Whirlygigs! - Larry Jenkins
