1 Park near Wilson, North Carolina
Jul 2015 - $34.00
This is a basic RV Park and probably the best for the area. Not a lot of shade but sites were flat, gravel, and very decent spacing. The store was a little worn for wear but the staff is very helpful and friendly. WiFi is weak - nothing new.
My wife did laundry (no a/c) - but, got it done. Our Mini Schinauzer enjoyed the collection of Donkeys.
We stayed here mainly on reviews from this site and I would stay here again if in the area. Wilson is a great little town - love the Whirlygigs! - Larry Jenkins

When we first drove into the park we were worried about what we had reserved because the office building is a little run down; however, when we actually got into the park we were very pleased. The sites were very spacious, had a concrete pad with a table, and plenty of shade. The campground was very well maintained and the staff was extremely nice. The only reasons I didn't give 5 stars were the office building appearance and the fact that the pool was not in service. - Skier31

Stayed one week. Price reflexes Passport America discount. First coming into park the road is paved with potholes. Escort to site with golf cart. Interior roads are gravel and sites are either paved or gravel/grass. Site was unlevel side to side 2 ½ inches. Some sites have trees, others not. Pool had a green tint to it. Excellent cable TV, and Wi-Fi worked great. Close to Highway 301, but didn't hear it. Does allow campfires. But had windows closed and A/C(s) on due to hot and humid weather. Easy in and out with a HDT and trailer (60 ft. combo). - Tallboy
