We really like this park! Beaver Bay is so pretty, and the sites have plenty of shade. This is an Army Corps park, so it is very clean, well maintained, and the camp host was very accommodating and helpful! There is a pontoon boat that crosses the bay; picks you up at the boat dock and delivers you to a Casino across the bay on the weekends. No charge. The gaming at the casino was really great, and the food was good there, too. The pontoon boat ride was even fun! The sites up on the bay are really spacious and mostly pull-thrus. I would definitely stay here again! The rate we paid is based on a Senior Pass. - CazMaz
Aug 2016 - $10.00
Very pretty place right on the Missouri River at Beaver Creek. I was here midweek in August, but almost had the whole place to myself. Sites are asphalt and very nicely spread apart so even when full, it would not have felt cramped. I had site 31 which was right on the river, so had a great view and very close to the boat ramp if I had had a boat. In between sites, there is well-kept grass and roads and camp sites are in good condition. I will definitely come back to this COE campground for the low senior rates and pretty view. Only negative was only 1-2 bars of Verizon service, if I was lucky. Kept dropping at times. - judy_online
Jun 2016 - $12.00
Nice park with spacious sites. Lovely lake nearby. We enjoyed easy access to boating. - Janet H
Jun 2014 - $25.00
This park is not big rig friendly. Sharp turns on narrow curbed streets. Fortunately, there were no campers on 30 amp side so was able to maneuver into only site available with 50 amp full hookups. Bring a Y hose adapter as there is one water per 2 sites. Sewer hookups way to the rear or underneath. Office not open but sign says find a site and manager will come around to collect. Did not come by last night. Nice little town with good restaurant. Only four 50 amp sites and two 30 amp sites. Two of the 50 amp sites were filled with 30 amp rigs. No trees for shade as they are on the north side. - easydoesit
Sep 2012 - $8.00
Flat sites, shade trees, and full hookups. How can you go wrong at $7.50 per night (PA rate)? All sites are back-in and the first pedestal we tried was inoperable. We couldn't get TV via antenna. This CG is basically in a field next to the city park/pool and adjacent to a mobile home park. Very quiet. - Full-Time Roamers
May 2012 - $15.00
Good Verizon voice & data. Fair air TV. Level grassy sites. Next to public park with a couple of pools (not yet open for the season). This is a mobile home park with a dozen RV sites available. Dip in side of road by entry may cause some rigs to drag. Passport America rate is half price for first day. Price quoted is full price. Very quiet park a block off highway 83. - earlymun
Jun 2014 - $15.00
This is on quiet perfect City Park in Strasburg, small town. Just 2 miles to the Lawrence Welk homestead, where you can take a tour. We're traveling south on 83 and it was time to stop and this was the perfect place it is a block of the highway with level large grassy sites, picnic table pavilion, and a wooden swing. Clean restroom and only one camper in the park - Gail
Aug 2012 - $20.00
This small campground is right on the edge of town and has 7 sites with full hookups, 4 flat and level on gravel, 2 flat and level on concrete pads, and 1 on grass. 6 tenting sites with electricity are also available. I called and left messages for both of the people listed on their website, midday of the day we arrived, but never heard back from either one. We stopped anyway, found two empty sites, and left our check in the fee collection slot. We would certainly stay here again. - The Wandrin' Waters
Aug 2010 - $15.00
A half dozen back in sites adjacent to a well maintained park. FHU (30 amp) level sites. Easy in and out. Bathroom/showers were clean with ample hot water. Small quite town several blocks off the highway. Very quiet. Not much to do or see but a wonderful one night stopover. - optimizer999
Aug 2016 - $15.00
This was the worst experience in 8 years of RV full timing. We had prepaid reservations in the Marina Campground. This campground is fairly nice for the money. The nightmare part is negotiating the 5 mile mud road to get there in the rain. NEVER, EVER GO TO THE MARINA CAMPGROUND IN THE RAIN, OR IF RAIN IS ANYWHERE IN THE FORECAST. Once you make the turn off of the highway, you are on the unpaved road, and there is no turning back. With a great deal of luck, we made it to the park. We were sliding around on the road and nearly got stuck twice. My wife and I were both shaking when we finally got off the mud road. I spend 45 minutes at the fresh water spigot washing mud off of our tuck and camper. We were planning a two night stay. We will be stuck here until the road dries. Worst ever - no doubt. - herbee
Apr 2016 - $24.00
Cost includes metered electric because we were given a vacant lease holder's site. I don't think we would stay more than a night or two in the transient sites. Site was very spacious, nicely landscaped and fully paved. Escorted to the site and guided in. He would have helped hook up if I asked.
Great pool, nice clubhouse with library and covered pation area. Wonderful people welcomed us and included us in evening social get together. The park ws built and is maintained by the lease holders and reflects real pride of ownership. It really does need a good dog park, though. AT&T worked well and we did get a few OTA channels.
Zolfo Springs doesn't have much but Wauchula is well equipped with Walmart, Winn Dixie, etc. - bobcovey
Feb 2013 - $12.00
Good park if you are retired and elderly. Nice pool and activity room with great library. Laundry is good. We stayed 5 days in dry camping before moving to 110 electrical hookup in overflow area at $12 with water. Running generator for 5 hours during the day was already costing us about $10/day in diesel fuel so we moved. Mostly a park model older retirement community. Did not like the $5 charge to use the dump station. Loved the pool and watching the shuffleboard but decided to move on after 6 days. Not the right place for us, so don't think we will be back. - rwarner22
Jun 2017 - $27.00
The lots are large and well kept. Park is quiet. The only detractor is the sugar beet factory just across the interstate highway to the north. We didn't spend a lot of time at the RV so it didn't really bother us. - LenVT
Jul 2015 - $34.00
Very noisy from interstate traffic, with air conditioner on not so much. The sites were spacious and level. Salt water swimming pool fantastic. Enjoyed the free pop corn. - alimen
Jun 2015 - $12.00
The rate shown was the result of staying one month.
Pros: Management was great, always willing to help; level sites with good utilities; lots of beautiful grass.
Cons: Aroma from sugar beet factory was terrible, traffic noise from Interstate, have to pass thru industrial area to get to park, wifi worked most of the time.
Other: Mostly permanent residents, we use satellite so don't have any idea about cable, didn't use any facilities except washer and dryer which is located in club house and worked fine, needed more than 25' power cable which we had. - DennisD
May 2017 - $43.00
Was there in May 2017 Large park . has a water park on the property. The owners are more concern about the water park and than the campers. The owner just want the money is all . The owner is rude andher daughter is rude also. They do not keep up with the park. cats and dogs are dropped off and the maintance man is rude. The grass is not cut but every 2 mos and the dog park is so high that you can't see your pet most of the time. They have ducks you can feed and the papaer mill is not far from the park that you can smell it. The park is not worth the money you pay to stay there. We will never come back and will tell others also. They do have a store but never open so why have it . - thedrifter0322
Apr 2016 - $30.00
Laundry appears adequate and reasonable cost. Close to town and fishing. 7 full bathroom/shower rooms to accommodate guests. Will not give you code to other bathrooms. Owner states each row has there own bathroom codes. No upkeep in park. OK to stay for a couple of nights not full time tho. Ducks are here to feed. Lots of trees. Would not come back. - karlsmith1414
