Easy access off the interstate. Nice flat gravel pull thru sites. Call ahead to reserve a site, honor system registration and pay cash or check at the entrance. Site assigned on clip board at entrance. Wide roads to sites and large pull thrus. Full hook ups. Great bang for the bucs. Great WiFi which is hard to find traveling these days. Didn't use any of the facilities but the park is obviously well maintained. We camped at A Prairie Breeze RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

We stopped here for a quick overnight while traveling through. Park is self-service. Very easy to get in and out. Restrooms and laundry area very nice. FHU. Has a lot of seasonals but there were plenty of spaces still open. We would definitely stay here again for an overnight. We camped at A Prairie Breeze RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Cash or Check Only, drop box. We reserved our stay and our site number was posted on board when we entered. Easy to get to, take Exit 170 off 94 and there it is, on the exit road, no getting into another lane. Simple, no frills park. Excellent showers, flat sites, full hook-up, laundry $1.50. We camped at A Prairie Breeze RV Park in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

No stores close by for groceries, but very easy to drive to using Interstate 94. Downtown has a great gym at State College available to visitors, $6 person; Olympic pool, full gym. State Capital is beautiful, Art Deco, free guided tour Museum is one of the nicest I have visited; huge dinosaurs, high-tech exhibits, free.

This is a self-register place where you choose an open spot and put a check or cash in an envelope. Very convenient to get to and quiet. We would stay here again. Owner came and visited which was nice. Rooftop satellite and Verizon wifi worked well. We camped at A Prairie Breeze RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Date of Stay: May, 2018 - $22.00
Overall Rating:

I have mixed feelings about this park as everything here was very good or very bad. First, the very good. The location is great as it is right off the highway, and the sites are all pull-through & easy to get in (although your site is right next to your neighbor and you share a water outlet). There are trees surrounding 3 of the 4 sides of the park, with the remaining side facing a great view especially during the sunset. This not only helps greatly reduce the highway noise but also drastically reduces the wind through the park. This was extremely helpful as it is normal for winds to reach 30+ mph on a daily basis. The laundry machines are only a buck for wash/dry, and the bathrooms were spotless. Now, the very bad. All the sites are gravel, and while many sites seemed level, my site was anything but level. Someone had driven a huge tractor through my site, and it made stabilizing nearly impossible especially with the huge winds. See the picture. On one occasion, the owners decided to mow the small patch of grass between sites even when we were leaving within a day or two. They not only went right up to my trailer, but they put my stairs in without telling me and didn't put them back out after done mowing!! I almost fell down from 3-4 feet onto the ground but barely caught myself. They couldn't even reach the edges because of how I parked. They have two washers & two dryers that are reasonably priced, but only 1 of each worked. Ate my money a bunch of times. On a final note, if you are going to stay here for a while, keep in mind that there isn't any staff on site. Therefore, the rules are not as enforced as other parks. You may see some dogs off leashes, loud music every now & then, metal grinding during the day, or have personal belongings outside of RV's. Some may like that, but some may not. Overall, I really would like to give this park a 9 or 10, but some basic things really irritated me. If passing through, I would stay here again. We camped at A Prairie Breeze RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Easy self check-in. Spacious gravel sites. Wonderful for the traveler who uses the facility to park the Motorhome and no need for playgrounds, pools, etc. Easy in, easy out and good hookups. My kind of place because I don't need anything that the KOA's offer and don't want to pay for it. We camped at A Prairie Breeze RV Park in a Motorhome.

Locating a reasonable priced campground in and around Bismarck, ND, prior to The Spring Thaw represents, at best, a challenge - for even the most seasoned RV traveler. Having arrived several weeks earlier than any normal year most campgrounds had yet to open, and those that had opened, found themselves with frozen water and sewer systems. A Prairie Breeze offered several work around solutions for the weather conditions as they diligently sought to repair damaged or frozen systems. Even under the most challenging of conditions, bathrooms and showers remained clean 24 hours a day - often with heavy use. Within days of our arrival, all obstacles had been overcome and we never felt put off or inconvenienced in any way. If you need seek places to stay where ownership goes above and beyond - even for circumstances outside of their control - A Prairie Breeze RV Park is your place to stay. This is a well run self registration park. It is clean and organized. The campers are respectful of each other. With the exception of an occasional overnighter everyone cleans up after their dogs. There are great walking areas of grass. The owners are within call and respond to emergencies immediately. This is our second year here and usually stay from May 1st-Oct 31st. Would definitely recommend for either short stay or long stay. We camped at A Prairie Breeze RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Very convenient to I-94. Full hookup, excellent wifi, nice pull through sites, level and clean. Roads are good. Do not let the lack of an on site attendant discourage you. This is a well managed park. We would stay here again. We camped at A Prairie Breeze RV Park in a Motorhome.

Easy access off I-94, great pull thru lots, clean showers, would be nice to have a larger laundry area but the equipment works well and area is clean. A lot of park families are long timers. Park is clean and quiet especially at night. Occasionally you can hear a distant train-but not hourly. Self registration is a unique idea but the owner will assist as needed when called. We initially had to take a 30 amp site but where promised a 50 amp site upon availability which was followed thru. You do face your neighbor-one camper pulls in from one direction and the next from the opposite direction. We camped at A Prairie Breeze RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Easy stop off the interstate. Convenient to Bismarck. Utilities worked well although sewer connections are in odd places (had to back up RV and dump upon leaving). Showers and restrooms are recently constructed, but were not kept clean. (Mold, empty toilet paper, and urine on the floor.) I don't know who cleans them, but I never saw anyone. Your porch faces your neighbor's porch. Park is 90% local workers and their families. Quiet and respectful. Despite being a self-serve park, they do take reservations if you know you'll be stopping (recommended due to high occupancy). Otherwise, good for overnight or short stays in the area. Great location, just 12 miles East of Bismarck with wide open spaces. It's a self pay park with no onsite personnel. Good utilities, nice long sites and particularly suitable for longer stays. It's right off of I-94. We camped at A Prairie Breeze RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Stayed here 2 nights on our way to Roosevelt NP. Level sites, just drive in and check out/find a site, then put money in envelope at site entrance. Next to farm field and huge silos. Park has pine trees around it. We camped at A Prairie Breeze RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

We stayed here in our 40' 4 slide motorhome with tow vehicle. We were in the best site - #1. Large concrete patio with table and grass. Full hookups, 50 amp, satellite, and Verizon phone. Noise from highway and if outside, noise from grain (?) complex by park. Sites are side by side. Few miles east of Bismark. We would stay here again.
