4 RV Parks near New Town, North Dakota
Sep 2014 - $16.00
This resort is located lakeside on the Van Hook Arm of Lake Sakakawea. It is 2 mile south of the intersection of Rt 23 and Rt 8, about 3 or 4 miles east of New Town. We overnighted there in a 39' motorhome. It was off season and we were given a spot with a lovely lake view. The sites are grass and were soft after a recent rain. Most sites appeared pretty level. Staff was friendly and the rate was great. I would definitely consider this if I was visiting the lake or needed another overnight stopover. There is a large campstore, with lots of fishing gear available. There is no water available at this location, so bring in a full tank. - CharlieS
Jul 2016 - $25.00
Stayed here overnight on my way through. The only redeeming features are it's a very scenic spot and it's fairly cheap.
However, the sites were not mowed at all. There was litter here and there. I rolled in late and there was no signage saying where to go. I found out from the front desk that I was to talk to the folks at the Marina in the morning. They thought it was $16 a night but it turned out it was $25/night.
It had full hookups, good water pressure, excellent AT&T coverage but no wifi in the site we were in. The playground was overgrown and unkept. Security patrols drove by regularly in the night but it was quiet.
It was OK for a late stop/early departure, but definitely would not want to holiday here. - CalebSG
Jul 2013 - $20.00
This could be a great place, but it is disgusting, scary, and not safe. Too bad such a large area is used by squatters, and long term living. Do not stay here. - User3140
Aug 2012 - $20.00
We did not actually stay here. Paid the $20, drove to our site and then decided to pull out and keep going. First off, you need to check in at the marina, but it would be nice if they had some signage telling you where the marina actually is. Roads are haphazard and not marked well at all. No maps of the campground, only one large arial photograph on the wall in the marina. My husband turned down one "road" only to find it blocked by someone's construction equipment. Place was full of trash, run down RV's, tents and misc. This place has potential, but I think I'll wait a few years and watch the reviews in the future. - MaryB61
Aug 2005 - $16.00
This was a clean well maintained park. Streets were gravel. Sites were grass and mostly level. The staff was friendly and helpful. They came to our site after we got set up to make sure everything was OK. The park was almost full with road construction crews who were working on US-2. - Travelin Rose
Sep 2015 - $15.00
There is no host. You are on your own. Electric only. We were in a 37' motor home and it was tight to get into place. Nice small town, quiet. Did not know the charge as city hall was closed when we got there, so mailed them $15.00 for one night. About 8 spaces for rigs. Really more suitable for trailers and small class c's. Very limited places to eat. - JandCandBri
Jul 2014 - $1.00
This is your basic campground with electric hookups, wide sites, lots of grass. Take the 8th st exit and go through town, past the city park, and pass under the railroad tracks--on the right. We stayed here because Williston, with the oil boom, was packed. It's great for what it is. - hudsonguy

Four nights free--then rate is $35.00 per week. No showers, Pay phone on site. 48.32070N 102.38973W. Dakota Drug Company soda fountain (south 2 blocks)is the only place in the US to still sell a "whirl-a-whip." I had one and it is extremely good value for the money. - User3761
