This is a Park for the hard working people in the oil fields and for us RV'ers/full timers it's good for an overnight stay. Staff was very friendly. We camped at Fox Run RV Park in a Motorhome.

Williston is an oil boom town and this park was built to accommodate the oil workers. It is at the top of the hill with great views over the city. Roads are dirt and large gravel that are good for driving but difficult to walk on. Staff was very accommodating checking on us daily to make sure we had what we needed. Sites are a decent size with no tables or fire rings. Really no place to sit outside except the gravel. The park does offer a lounge with comfortable seating for reading or watching TV. Clean bathrooms and showers, nice laundry. Our Verizon phones worked well. Direct TV had good reception. All major networks available OTA. Park Wifi was really good. There were a lot of annoying flies at this stop. It was difficult to keep them out of the rig. We think it was due to the overflowing trash dumpster even though it was quite a distance from our site. We camped at Fox Run RV Park in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

We stayed in Williston to visit sites pertaining to the Lewis and Clark Expedition. Fort Buford and the Missouri Yellowstone Confluence Interpretive Center, Fort Union Trading Post NHS and the Theodore Roosevelt National Park are all reasonably close for North Dakota. We had a great meal at Doc Holliday's Steakhouse in Williston.

Somewhat shabby campground from the oil boom days. Basically an open field with gravel / dirt access roads (still somewhat muddy and puddled in places 3 days after a heavy rain). Sites are large river rock over dirt and rather uneven and somewhat close together. Very little struggling grass between the sites. No shade and very dusty. Mainly setup for long term stays, but they will do an overnight stay. Power ok (but did not put a load on it). Did not use other utilities. Strong campground wifi signal with good speed. Verizon 3 bars, did not check speed. No TMobile service. No recycling on site and no obvious road bike riding opportunities. We'll stay at the Walmart next time we're in the area. We camped at Fox Run RV Park in a Motorhome.

This park was apparently built for oil workers during the boom. There are still a lot of long-termers here, but not a problem. Aesthetically, it's not much, but the sites are long and wide enough, and fairly level. Utilities worked fine. Interior roads are pretty rough, and the park could stand some litter patrol. Manager is very friendly and helpful. This is okay for an overnight stop. We camped at Fox Run RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

For travelers heading west, if you need fuel, wait until you cross into Montana if you can. It's much less expensive!

This 250-site camp was set up for oil fracking workers and, now that particular mania has calmed down, has lots of space for RVers. It sits on the top of a hill with pleasant farm views to the north. All sites are large with full service including 50-amp electric. This is a basic camp in a field with no trees and dish access everywhere. The hilltop location worsens high winds; we lost a door hinge stop to a gust. Williston is last town of size if you're heading into Canada, with a Wal-Mart Supercenter, Ace Hardware, Home Depot etc. We camped at Fox Run RV Park in a Motorhome.

We arrived in June 2016 and stayed until end of October 2016. Park had just been reopened when we got there and new management is excellent. Saw major efforts by staff to clean up the park from people that left things there after the oil boom ended. The staff are very nice people and we really enjoyed our stay there. We camped at Fox Run RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

This campground was for monthly oil field workers but now takes daily guests as well. Although the park is an open field, I was pleasantly surprise by all the amenities. Huge, clean laundry facility, two big screen TV in clubhouse area. Staff was also friendly and helpful. There aren't many RV parks in this area and I would definitely stay here again. The only problem was our site did have some debris on it (large nails) so check the site before backing in. We camped at Fox Run RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.
