Very nice park. Wide spaces and lots of grass. We were surprised to have to buy an annual Membership to the State Parks of ND for $25.00 in order to stay. There was no veteran's discount. Most states at least recognize veterans: especially disabled ones. So for that reason I cannot recommend staying here. It was quite out of the way for us and once we arrived and discovered the excessive fee it would have been equally expensive to drive back to civilization to a private park. We camped at Lewis & Clark State Park in a Motorhome.

What a wonderful campground. Originally planned to stay 4 days, ended up staying 2 weeks. Sites are mixed some are full hook-up most are W/E and others are E only. We originally were in a W/E site 31 but moved to a full hook-up. The site was nice with trees and shade, but we were forced to move because of spiders. I think they are in the trees. The Plover loop is in the open and has full hookups. The issue with the W/E sites and some of the full hookup sites is that the water can be over 50ft away. Don't believe the website. The electrical connections are all in the right spot it's the water you need to worry about and that info is not correct for a lot of sites. Sewer connection is high, so drainage is slow. There is only one bathroom with pit toilets scattered around. The campground host was wonderful and friendly as were the rangers. On the weekends there is a ranger talk on different subjects and on Sunday there is a program for JR explorer s. There is a lot of road construction on 1804 which I recommend to avoid. Take HWY 2. The only big downside is that there are no laundry facilities and because of construction it takes >45 min to get into town. Wi-Fi is provided free from a 3rd party and worked well for us. The $30 is for full hookup, its 25 for W/E. Would definitely stay here again. We camped at Lewis & Clark State Park in a Fifth Wheel.

This is a fantastic option when travelling West. The park is actually located in Epping, ND. If you need an over night stay this is perfect. If you are looking for a destination, this park would also be great. The sites provide enough space for even the largest units. We camped at Lewis & Clark State Park in a Motorhome.

We have stayed at several state parks throughout our trip, but this one was the best we have been in. It was a pleasant surprise because of the beauty of the area and the layout of the park. Our space was big and level and so private. We had trees all around and the peacefulness was wonderful. What a joy our 3 nights there were. The staff couldn't have been more courteous and helpful. We camped at Lewis & Clark State Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Was a very nice stay with full hookups. No view of lake but quiet during the week. Did get very crowded on weekends. There are showers and restrooms but we were so far away from them, we didn't even check them out. Nice marina and everyone friendly. We stayed 4 nights. They had great WiFi in campground which really surprised and delighted me. We camped at Lewis & Clark State Park in a Motorhome.

We have stayed at 90+ RV parks and never once has it been a State park. Either they couldn't accommodate large rigs, no full hook ups or vault-only toilets had us looking elsewhere. What a totally wonderful surprise. The park is beautiful and the campgrounds are thoughtfully laid out. We stayed in the Plover loop. More open and sunny than the other loops and also a longer walk to the restrooms. The Plover loop sites are carved out of the sides of the road and are long, level, spacious and pull through. The sites are hard pack dirt. Some have views of the lake. The utilities worked great, the water pressure was fine and the satellite reception was prefect. The restrooms are as nice as any private RV park. We camped at Lewis & Clark State Park in a Motorhome.

What a nice state park! We came for two nights and stayed two weeks. It's strange driving to the park as you pass many oil rigs but once you are in the park you forget they exist. It's quiet during the week but busy on weekends. Right on the Missouri river with a nice marina and boat ramp. The RV sites aren't on the river but some sites have "glimpses." Many tent sites are on the river and have a beautiful view. The interior roads are narrow due to trees close to the road and overhanging limbs which we snagged at times. The sites are dirt/gravel with plenty of space between sites. Most of the sites have shade with overhanging branches that could use a trim. The Plover loop, which has full hook ups, is the exception. They have no mature trees and are in full sun. Most sites are water and electric and the water is shared and a long distance from the site. At one point, we had three RVs sharing one water spigot; however, we did not notice any effect on the pressure. Hands down the best WII FI we've had in forever!! Kudos! No Directv in the three sites we occupied but the Plover loop should have no issues. Verizon was barely 3g and 1 bar with our extender otherwise there was no coverage. Bathrooms/showers are utilitarian and so so clean. They obviously are not cleaned every day as there are lots of small dead bugs. Be prepared for ants, flies and spiders that can build webs literally overnight. We would stay here again. We camped at Lewis & Clark State Park in a Motorhome.

We had a nice large site with lake view. Fire pit with a wood car came around to sell wood. Sites were sunny with some shade. Water and electric available but only electric available when we came. Sites are cheap and you can't beat the view from the site we were in. Loved the park and there was a wifi hot spot where they had great fast reception. Only stopped for an over nighter but would love to go back for a longer visit. We camped at Lewis & Clark State Park in a Travel Trailer.

There was lots of activity going on in the area because of all the oil wells, but we got a site even though we had not made reservations. The water is available close to your site, but you might share it with someone else. We filled our tank instead. The Wi-Fi worked great. The back-in site we were in was large and we had no problem backing in with our 40 ft rig and truck. Nice and quiet. We camped at Lewis & Clark State Park in a Fifth Wheel.

A rather stark site based on the local topography. Mosquitoes were very prevalent and kept at bay with some deet. The local boom in oil is causing for a lot of non-campers in the park. We camped at Lewis & Clark State Park in a Travel Trailer.

$20 per night for a site with 50 amp electric and water on a level gravel pad with a fire ring and picnic table. We had previously purchased the annual passes for our RV and tow vehicle for the $20 per vehicle senior rate. There were many trees throughout the campground so shade was plentiful. If you like walking/hiking/biking there are trails and roadways inside and outside the park. Boating/fishing is main recreational activity. The five mile drive to the campground is over a bumpy/wavy but paved road. Cell phone service on AT&T was 4G but only one bar—service was best at the beach. Park Wi-Fi was available in the campground. There was no over-the-air TV but we did receive NPR radio. We camped at Lewis & Clark State Park in a Motorhome.

Wonderful park on the Missouri. Level pull throughs with water and electric, except water was on opposite side from electric. Nice shade, lots of birds, very friendly park rangers. Bathrooms were very clean. If we are in the area we will stay here again. We camped at Lewis & Clark State Park in a Travel Trailer.

$20/night, plus 3.00 online registration fee, plus $25 annual ND park usage pass. Roads are paved with level gravel sites. Electric was good and water is shared between 2 sites, but they will upgrade this in the future. Wi-Fi was good, but there was no Antenna TV or AT&T coverage. The bathhouse was clean in the reserved area, but the first shower in the men’s had no hot water and the water was more of a spray than a shower. They have a beach if you can call it that, and a marina. We would stay here again. We camped at Lewis & Clark State Park in a Motorhome.

The sites have electric only, no water or sewer. I noticed water faucets available between every other site, just kind of "plopped" where ever, no consistency to location. I also noticed what appeared to be an "attitude" from camping guests of, "I hooked up to the water faucet first so it's mine, neener neener." On the other hand, some of the faucets were being used with splitters by neighboring camping guests. I asked a ranger, "What's up with that?" The ranger explained that you have to share the water faucet with your neighbor. If you don't have a splitter, they have them in the park office, they will bring one to you. Okay.

Since I was only staying two nights, I filled my tank from an "unclaimed" water faucet to avoid confronting the neighbor who had already "claimed" the faucet (and no splitter). The camp host explained that the park plans to add more water faucets to avoid the sharing issue, but who knows when that will happen. Overall, I had a very nice stay at the park. Sites are dirt, but reasonably level. There is adequate spacing between sites. The trees may prevent you from putting out your awning. The park has a group camp area, but it seemed small to me compared to what I have seen at other parks. Basically, the group camp area was the size of two RV slots. I've seen bigger. Bathrooms and showers were fairly clean. Oh, and the biggest surprise, this park has free Wi-Fi! It's the only park in the North Dakota State Park system with Wi-Fi, courtesy of a "Friends of the Park" organization. Wi-Fi worked great! Thank goodness, as Verizon cellular modem wouldn't work at all. Verizon cell phone had trouble getting a signal. Verizon wireless land line (Home Phone Connect service) barely got a signal, but worked much better then cell phone service. Finally, I want to add that I came in as a "walk-in" (no reservations) on a Thursday and was told that I was very lucky as this park tends to fill by Wednesday. I'd love to give this park an 8 or 9, but the sharing water issue made me knock it down to 7. We camped at Lewis & Clark State Park in a Motorhome.
