This is an amazing place to stay. About 45 minutes outside of Yellowknife, close enough to be easy to access, far enough it's wilderness.

The sites are narrow, when it lists the width, pay attention! Park attendant was super helpful and gave us a wider site when he saw our unit. You simply cannot fit, lots of trees which we loved.

Lake is pristine, you can launch boats easily and park for free when camping. No power or water; note NO FILL STATION in the park, go to station 4 in Yellowknife and fill up with water for free. They have water symbol on the description which is deceiving.

We stayed in loop C, great park which is sand and kids loved you it. The park has many seasonal campers who aren't there mid week so felt like we had the loop to ourselves.

There is wildlife in area, bears and very bold foxes. Had a fox jump in our dog pen, was very funny and he quickly got out! You'll need to keep food in your car.

The showers and bathrooms were clean and water was warm.

Saw the Northern lights and was where several aurora tour companies come down to the lake to see them, so clearly a good place to see! Save the money and drive to the lake yourself.

We really loved this park, it was quiet and clean. If you're up for the drive, well worth it. Definitely check out the visitor centre, museum and diamond place in Yellowknife. We camped at Prelude Lake Territorial Park in a Fifth Wheel.
