We stayed here for three nights. The sites were very spacious and also very level, with strong Wi-Fi access at the site. The campground itself is in a great location to tour the Cabot Trail, which by the way was one of the most breathtakingly scenic trips my wife and I have ever been on. The park was also very well-maintained; it seemed that someone was always cleaning somewhere. We would definitely stay here again. We camped at Baddeck Cabot Trail Campground in a Motorhome.

Overall Rating:

We stayed at this park the night before and after we caught the New Foundland Ferry; the campground is approximately 1 hour from the ferry. It's a nice spot on a hill that leads to a forest then to a lake. It had very clean restrooms and awesome showers. I have a feeling this spot is full of kids during the high season (pool, soccer field, lake with small swimming beach.) Wi-Fi reception was quite good. The nice young couple that managed the park were constantly working, cleaning, and fixing which was reflected in the tidiness of the place. We enjoyed the pool on our return visit. (Pools don't open in Canada until the end of June-beginning of July.) The downside was a bit of road noise from Trans-Canada Highway (TCH) and many insects. We camped at Baddeck Cabot Trail Campground in a Travel Trailer.

After some debate, we decided to use this park as our base for a tour of the Cabot Trail. Great decision. This spot gives you good access to Louisburg, as well as the Cabot Trail. This park was very nice, with wooded and open sites. It sits on top of a rise and the open sites have some lovely views. Very clean and well tended grounds. We had lots of room, but it was still off season. Heated pool. Wi-Fi was fast with a strong signal. The staff is a German family and they were friendly and delightful. Plenty of room for big rigs, but tent sites as well. We saw Bald Eagles flying over everyday. We would definitely return. We stayed three nights. We camped at Baddeck Cabot Trail Campground in a Motorhome.

The owners/managers of this park are very attentive and personable and helped us solve a problem with our RV in a very timely manner. The park is better than average but has some serious water pooling problems which occurred during some heavy rains during our stay. It could use some more gravel work on many of the sites. Access is also a little on the tight side. We camped at Baddeck Cabot Trail Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Excellent location in the heart of Cape Breton. We went whale watching in Pleasant Bay. It's gotta be done, and you can couple that with a day trip across the Cabot trail. Another must do is did the Fortress Louisburg. Just be aware it closes at 5 pm and you need four hours to do it. The grounds were clean, always seeing someone doing maintenance/sweeping/cleaning. The showers are clean. The family that runs it goes out of their way to make your stay comfortable. I had an issue with my meds, having to be couriered up from Halifax, and the owners took care of me fabulously. it is the little things that make a campground wonderful and this family are pro's at taking care of the little things. Highly recommended. We camped at Baddeck Cabot Trail Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Probably an old KOA campground with great new owners/management. The best campground in the Baddeck, Nova Scotia area. Several good sites for big rigs. Excellent Wi-Fi, good fire rings, small restaurant, pool, camping cabins, etc. Terrific convenience for touring the Cabot Trail etc. We camped at Baddeck Cabot Trail Campground in a Motorhome.

This is our second visit to this campground. for the past 3 years it is now owned by a very nice family. The most outstanding characteristic here is the way the ownership treats you. They are very attentive to any and all our concerns, most accommodating. Together they enable a very satisfying visit. We have a large coach with a toad and sites were ample. I suggest you that big rigs stay up on the hill. Best Wi-Fi there and open treeless sites. Bathroom are great and clean. It's in the center of the island for convenient touring with your toad. After reading the previous reviews I couldn't wait to get to the RV park for 3-4 days. However, when I got here I found an overcrowded RV park with a large number of seasonals and an awful lot of the sites available to overnighters were terrible. Front end to rear bumper sites made it difficult to get out of. We actually had to back out our 32-footer and hookup later. Crazy. Couldn't sit at the outside table because it sloped so much. Then there were the folks who had a campfire. I love campfires but not in an RV park where sites are so close. The smoke smell filled our RV. As to check in, the road coming in makes the folks checking in stop on a pretty severe up slope before finding out the assigned site. While some folks like this place, this should not be a 9/10/10 on TL's book. A place with such inconsistencies should be much lower rated. We camped at Baddeck Cabot Trail Campground in a Motorhome.

Great base to visit the Cabot Trail. Stayed here in 42' rig, and the 50 amp was fine, looked new and the Wi-Fi was outstanding. I am sure we will miss it. The season is starting, so not sure how the increased use will affect it. Be sure to get the owner/mgr to give you instructions on things to do and which way to drive the Cabot Trail. Didn't get a 10 because of gravel sites and driveways. But it is a good as you can find in this area. We camped at Baddeck Cabot Trail Campground in a Motorhome.

Overall, quite acceptable. Back-ins and pull throughs are available. I would recommend one look at the site first as there are several different views. Some of the highlands and some of trees and other RV's. Restaurant and pool closed as after Labor Day and tourist season winding down. Two canoes are available to rent as the campground borders a calm river. Also, a walking trail is available that goes around part of the premises. Wi-Fi was very good. Staff friendly and helpful for things to do. Nice store as well. Storage is also available for a fair price. We camped at Baddeck Cabot Trail Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

This was a very nice park and is Big Rig friendly. We were provided with a pull-through site with 50amp service that was 100' long which was very easy to get in and out of. It was a great RV Park to tour the Cabot Trail and the town of Baddeck from. It had an on-site restaurant, pool, etc. The owners were very nice and thorough in explaining the campground and provided a map of the Cabot Trail and told us the things to stop and see. We did not use their facilities or Wi-Fi as we have this on board our coach. We would definitely camp here again. We camped at Baddeck Cabot Trail Campground in a Motorhome.

We spent a week here and the rate reflects that. The park was very nice. It was a busy time of the year and a lot of activity but all was handled very smoothly. It made a great jumping off point for all the area sites. We'd definitely stay again. We camped at Baddeck Cabot Trail Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Like other reviewers we stayed here while we explored the Cabot Trail. What makes this such a great place to stay is the family that owns the campground. From having a restaurant with great food to keeping the grounds well maintained they try to make sure all of their guests have a good stay. Wi-Fi is exceptional- one of the best we've used. Price is with KOA discount. Un-level sites - muddy; good electrical; sewer had to run uphill. Wi-Fi was so-so. Pretty sites with some privacy. Pool was warm and clean. Bigger open sites for MH's had fewer trees but much more space. Small store at front office + restaurant (we did not try it). We would stay here again but before paying we would check out the site and see how unlevel it was. We camped at Baddeck Cabot Trail Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Excellent campground. We used it as a base for a week to tour Cape Breton. Very easy to find right on the Trans-Canada Highway. It filled up quickly over the weekend, so reservations would be a good idea. Internet access is reliable. The staff is very knowledgeable and friendly. Electric, water and sewer are located midway along the length of the sites, which make hooking up convenient without the need for extensions. We would stay here again.
