The location of this park is the only thing that saved me from giving it a less than average review. The sites for the travelers are VERY tight! To get our 37 Ft fifth wheel to fit onto the site, we had to back up within inches of the camper behind us. When we put our awning out, we had about 2 feet of space to the next rig. Thankfully, we had great neighbors and we all worked together to park our tow vehicles. When we left in the morning, we had to ask neighbors to move their cars so we could exit. The campground is very pretty and their are large areas set aside for playgrounds etc. The more spacious sites are set aside for the seasonal campers. We would not return to this park. Too tight! We camped at Baddeck Cabot Trail Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Good Sam discount rate for a nine day stay. Site was a pull-through, level, gravel, FHU with 50 amp. Our site was a "buddy" site where our entry door would have faced the neighbors entry door and shared a common patio area, but fortunately no one was on the neighboring site during our stay.

We had weak Verizon cell and internet reception (on our Verizon Canada roaming plan). We did not have DishTV satellite reception, but that may have been because of the trees. We had no OTA TV reception. The park WiFi was spotty; some times it was fast, but other times it was painfully slow. Laundry facility was adequate with 5 top load washers ($3) and 8 dryers ($1 for 22 minutes). The entry road to the park and the parks interior roads are rough, but manageable. We would stay here again. We camped at Baddeck Cabot Trail Campground in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

We used this campground as our base for exploring Cape Breton.

It is 90 minutes to the Cape Breton Highlands National Park via either Cheticamp or Ingonish. It is 90 minutes to the Fortress of Louisbourg National Historic Site. It is 10 minutes to the restaurants and shopping in Baddeck and the Alexander Graham Bell National Historic Site.

Friendly and helpfull staff. Entrance to campground a bit narrow and the first 100 yards or so is bumpy. Interior roads are a bit narrow and bumpy. Had a spacious and long pull through site. Water pressure was great. Should be like that in all parks. 50 and 30 amp service with breakers on site. Wifi was slow and near impossible at peak volume times. No cable TV. We camped at Baddeck Cabot Trail Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

The Baddeck Cabot trail is an all day tour. Road construction on portions of the road. Visit the Fortress at Louisbourg. About an hour trip and pack a lunch to enjoy there. Town of Baddeck is nice and a very nice waterfront.

Nice campground as base for exploring Cape Breton National Park. Level full hook up 50 amp back in gravel sites. Firepit and table in tight quarters. WIFI only works in off hours. No local channels. Nice heated pool and beach access. Good amenities and store on site. Would stay here again. We camped at Baddeck Cabot Trail Campground in a Motorhome.

As stated before, road into campground is pretty rough. Staff very helpful and friendly. Campground was crowded, sites are tiered due to terrain so our slide was almost in our neighbor's site. Laundry facilities were very good. No cable (found that to be the case at all the Canadian campgrounds we stayed in). WiFi not very good and Verizon cell reception not great - usually 1 or 2 bars, rarely 4G. We camped at Baddeck Cabot Trail Campground in a Motorhome.

One of the better RV parks in Canada. the owners are very friendly and have excellent service. We had no problem getting our 40' 5th wheel into our spot. They escort you to your spot and guide you in if you need help. Water pressure is good, connections are placed properly. Wifi was very good compared to 90% of parks in North America. We were in the area at the top of the park, lots of space between spots. Was here 2 years ago and highly recommend this location to explore the Cabot Trail and Sydney; do the trail one day, Sydney and Louisburg the other and that's enough for Cape Breton! We camped at Baddeck Cabot Trail Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Sites are level but on the small side for our unit. No quite enough bathroom for the campground, and as a result, there is always a line up in the morning and evening. In addition, there is not enough hot water for shower for the campground either, and more than once we had some rather cool showers. Facilities are clean though.

The website on which we supplied credit card to book was not secured. I ended up using a low limit credit card that I don't mind getting compromised. We camped at Baddeck Cabot Trail Campground in a Travel Trailer.

This is the second time we have stayed here and we think it is a very good campground. We ask for the pull throughs in the 240/250s range and they are quite spacious - obviously not as large as you can get in a Provincial or State park, but good for a commercial campground. We have a 36 foot 5th wheel, with 3 slideouts (on both sides) and we're fine. There was plenty of room to park our truck without feeling cramped. The campground has all of the facilities, good washrooms, pool, woodland trail, convenience store (with complimentary DVD rentals) and a campers' lodge with free coffee, TV, pool table etc. The owners are friendly and helpful, and it is dog friendly. The campground is only a 5-10 min drive to Baddeck. We like it here. We camped at Baddeck Cabot Trail Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

This is a former KOA facility. If you are in a smaller MH or trailer, you'll probably get a nice site, possibly with views. But if you are in a longer motorhome requiring 50 amp service, be aware. Many of the sites into which they try to squeeze larger rigs are unbelievably cramped. I have photos of rigs so closely spaced that their awnings are overlapping, their slideouts are within 2 feet of each other and slideouts on the other side are only inches from a utility building. I was instructed to put my coach so close to another unit that its owner complained that he couldn't get his bicycles off of a rear-mounted rack. Further, the wifi which another reviewer touted so highly barely worked during our stay (during mid-July when the park was crowded). There are much nicer parks nearby. I personally wouldn't return to this one. We camped at Baddeck Cabot Trail Campground in a Motorhome.

Family owned campground which is exceptionally managed by multigenerational family members. One of them was always available and usually seen working in some capacity throughout our wk's stay. We had a nice long pull through with distant neighbors. Some sites are a little tight and this one would have been had it been totally filled. Water pressure was good, no cable or TV reception, but excellent cell reception and super fast WIFI. Very convenient for the Loop and for exploring the cute little town, as well as many other interesting sites near by. When we asked if we could rinse our motorcycle before putting the cover on it, the owner wanted to know if we wanted to move it somewhere more accessible to water! One dryer malfunctioned during the cycle and the owner's son apologized profusely and promptly put an out of order sign on it. I was very impressed with this campground! We camped at Baddeck Cabot Trail Campground in a Motorhome.

Loved this CG--good wifi, level sites, very clean and close to everything. There are nature trails, one going down to a lake/pond where our pooch loved to swim. One thing I liked is that they have invested a lot of money in planting new trees. There are many stumps where old trees have died and one can see the CG was heavily treed in the past. The planting of new trees shows they are invested in the future. All in all, an exceptional rv park. We camped at Baddeck Cabot Trail Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Beddeck area is one of Nova Scotia's secrets. Entrance to Cabbot Trail which is in itself worth the entire visit. Campground is old KOA but well kept with lots of things for the family. We are seniors so we concentrated on the beauty of the area and the village of Beddeck. Access is easy from main highway and all services were as advertised. Definitely would stay again.
