Like others said, the sites are tight, we had a back in and were within several feet of our neighbors on all sides. WIFI works best at 6AM. After 8 it is super slow or non existent and again at night. No cable. Also no place to put dog waste. They say only clear garbage bags in the dumpsters, but dog poop bags are not clear. I tried to have my dog go in the high grassy areas. They have a nature trail that they are trying to clear and make a nice trail. I was warned it could be muddy in places. It was, but I knew that going in. Interior road is bad, but again manageable. We camped at Baddeck Cabot Trail Campground in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Cabot trail is easy to access from here. Just remember, it takes 5+ hours to drive the whole thing and then depending on stops, hikes, etc. it could be longer. Check the weather on both sides before going. We had been told to drive it counterclockwise, but when I checked the weather, it was iffy counterclockwise, but sunny going clockwise. If you are here for several days, get the park pass that is the equivalent of almost 3 days if you plan on going back more than once.

Good Sam discount rate for a nine day stay. Site was a pull-through, level, gravel, FHU with 50 amp. Our site was a "buddy" site where our entry door would have faced the neighbors entry door and shared a common patio area, but fortunately no one was on the neighboring site during our stay.

We had weak Verizon cell and internet reception (on our Verizon Canada roaming plan). We did not have DishTV satellite reception, but that may have been because of the trees. We had no OTA TV reception. The park WiFi was spotty; some times it was fast, but other times it was painfully slow. Laundry facility was adequate with 5 top load washers ($3) and 8 dryers ($1 for 22 minutes). The entry road to the park and the parks interior roads are rough, but manageable. We would stay here again. We camped at Baddeck Cabot Trail Campground in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

We used this campground as our base for exploring Cape Breton.

It is 90 minutes to the Cape Breton Highlands National Park via either Cheticamp or Ingonish. It is 90 minutes to the Fortress of Louisbourg National Historic Site. It is 10 minutes to the restaurants and shopping in Baddeck and the Alexander Graham Bell National Historic Site.

As stated before, road into campground is pretty rough. Staff very helpful and friendly. Campground was crowded, sites are tiered due to terrain so our slide was almost in our neighbor's site. Laundry facilities were very good. No cable (found that to be the case at all the Canadian campgrounds we stayed in). WiFi not very good and Verizon cell reception not great - usually 1 or 2 bars, rarely 4G. We camped at Baddeck Cabot Trail Campground in a Motorhome.

Nice campground as base for exploring Cape Breton National Park. Level full hook up 50 amp back in gravel sites. Firepit and table in tight quarters. WIFI only works in off hours. No local channels. Nice heated pool and beach access. Good amenities and store on site. Would stay here again. We camped at Baddeck Cabot Trail Campground in a Motorhome.

Friendly and helpfull staff. Entrance to campground a bit narrow and the first 100 yards or so is bumpy. Interior roads are a bit narrow and bumpy. Had a spacious and long pull through site. Water pressure was great. Should be like that in all parks. 50 and 30 amp service with breakers on site. Wifi was slow and near impossible at peak volume times. No cable TV. We camped at Baddeck Cabot Trail Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

The Baddeck Cabot trail is an all day tour. Road construction on portions of the road. Visit the Fortress at Louisbourg. About an hour trip and pack a lunch to enjoy there. Town of Baddeck is nice and a very nice waterfront.

Beddeck area is one of Nova Scotia's secrets. Entrance to Cabbot Trail which is in itself worth the entire visit. Campground is old KOA but well kept with lots of things for the family. We are seniors so we concentrated on the beauty of the area and the village of Beddeck. Access is easy from main highway and all services were as advertised. Definitely would stay again. We camped at Baddeck Cabot Trail Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

Found a nice yarn shop in town. Convenient for riding Cabot Trail, which, not withstanding guidebooks, cannot be toured in one day to enjoy hiking, etc. One might want to plan to camp in the park. Trail might be tough for a big rig.

Great location to check out Cabot Trail and other attractions in this area. The owners are very friendly. Some sites are on hilly area but we had a nice level one for our 40' RV. Nice solid gravel sites. Very good value. We camped at Baddeck Cabot Trail Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

This a great location for driving the Cabot Trail in either direction. Leave your camper here while you explore the scenic and steep road of the C.T. There is a sign on the road for the CG but the RV sites are not visible since there is a nice forest of evergreens on the paved entry road. Easy check in at office. The sites are on an uphill slope but we were able to get level without too much trouble. Our site had a buffer of bushes for privacy from the adjacent site but many do not. The picnic table was located on uneven ground however so we used some pieces of lumber to get that usable. The shower room is clean and well equipped. The stalls could be a little bigger. The onsite restaurant with limited menu is handy when you don't want to cook or drive to the restaurants in Baddeck. The office has DVD's you can borrow for free as well as a store for things you forgot to bring. Had a nice swim in their pool. The walk to the very small beach is quite long so wear something better than flip flops. WiFi variable and inconsistent. We camped at Baddeck Cabot Trail Campground in a Travel Trailer.

We picked this park because of its proximity to the Cabot Trail. The park is fine. The sites are NOT level. Our auto level system could not handle it. We were traveling with friends, and we got 2 pull throughs side by side facing each other, and we shared the space in between. Wi-Fi is iffy as it comes and goes. Check in was very friendly, and the laundromat is clean with lots of machines. The sites are narrow with not a lot of room to walk around your RV. We were there for 7 nights, and we did enjoy it. We camped at Baddeck Cabot Trail Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

This is the most popular campground in the Baddeck area. It is also my suggested choice. It is run by a very efficient and friendly German family. They have spent a lot of time and money on this campground. The Pros. Big site. Licensed restaurant, heated pool, great for kids, river beach, canoeing and hiking trail. Half a mile off the road, so almost no road noise. Cons. Very close compact sites, sharing utility pole. Almost no room between sites. Whilst we were there, our neighbors sat under our slide out to get shade from the sun. We found ourselves whispering because we thought our neighbors could hear us. We stayed five nights and could rarely get on the Internet. In fact, we even sat outside the office to get a good signal with zero results. If you don't have a router or personal hotspot on your cell phone you will be extremely frustrated. No cable and no over the air channels. Bring a DVD! We camped at Baddeck Cabot Trail Campground in a Motorhome.

Don't know how this gets such high ratings by Good Sam. Big rig sites are east-west, and very close together. Restrooms and showers were clean, but old. Laundry facilities were barely adequate, with two of the six dryers out of order. Lots of recycle containers around the campground, but one dumpster for garbage near the office. Staff friendly and helpful with tips for the Cabot Trail. We camped at Baddeck Cabot Trail Campground in a Motorhome.

We stayed at this park the night before and after we caught the New Foundland Ferry; the campground is approximately 1 hour from the ferry. It's a nice spot on a hill that leads to a forest then to a lake. It had very clean restrooms and awesome showers. I have a feeling this spot is full of kids during the high season (pool, soccer field, lake with small swimming beach.) Wi-Fi reception was quite good. The nice young couple that managed the park were constantly working, cleaning, and fixing which was reflected in the tidiness of the place. We enjoyed the pool on our return visit. (Pools don't open in Canada until the end of June-beginning of July.) The downside was a bit of road noise from Trans-Canada Highway (TCH) and many insects. We camped at Baddeck Cabot Trail Campground in a Travel Trailer.

The owners/managers of this park are very attentive and personable and helped us solve a problem with our RV in a very timely manner. The park is better than average but has some serious water pooling problems which occurred during some heavy rains during our stay. It could use some more gravel work on many of the sites. Access is also a little on the tight side. We camped at Baddeck Cabot Trail Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Probably an old KOA campground with great new owners/management. The best campground in the Baddeck, Nova Scotia area. Several good sites for big rigs. Excellent Wi-Fi, good fire rings, small restaurant, pool, camping cabins, etc. Terrific convenience for touring the Cabot Trail etc. We camped at Baddeck Cabot Trail Campground in a Motorhome.
