7 Parks near Kingston, Nova Scotia
Jul 2011 - $50.00
Overall not a bad campground. We stayed in a deluxe site which I strongly recommend unless you want to be in an open area with small children and dogs running everywhere. We stayed in deluxe site number 3. It was nice, although a little tight for getting out of when there were campers in the site next to us. A lot of the people in this campground are locals with seasonal sites. We were here for two nights while waiting for our house to close. Restrooms/showers were clean, the staff was helpful and friendly. I would give this resort a higher rating if we didn't have to watch out for unattended children and dogs as much when we were leaving the park each time to run into town for errands. - Always Glamping
Jul 2011 - $30.00
Check-in staff was very friendly but young and inexperienced with big rigs. Site assigned was Not accessible to a 40 ft motorhome, so took another site. Fire rings are in the way for parking and exiting. 50 amp elect is good and water pressure is good. WiFi only works in office or parked right outside. Lots of kids on bikes but not noisey. Would stay here again. Rate is PassPort America. - XPPCo
Aug 2010 - $18.00
Level sites with good electric and water. Interior roads in good condition. A negative against the park would be their fire pits. The park digs this 8 to 10 inch deep hole, about three feet in diameter right where you have to back into the site or where you need to park your tow vehicle. Makes getting in and out of the site with a larger unit difficult. We would camp here again. The price reflects the rate for a Coast to Coast Good Neighbor Park, - corky506
Sep 2011 - $16.00
This was a very nice Passport America Park. The people at check-in were very friendly and they had one of their employees guide us to our site. The sites are wide and long enough to accommodate 45' rigs. Their is a gate access key which you pay a deposit for at check-in which is good for added security. The roads to the RV sites are dirt and it creates quite a bit of dust. We would definitely camp here again. - Larry Hamblin
Jul 2010 - $23.00
This campground is a portion of the former White's Motel and Campground as the seasonal sites look to be next door to this campground. There are some sites on the same level as the road interspersed with cottages and some down on the level with the Annapolis River. Our site, down below, felt like we'd sink into soft ground but we didn't. Our electric service was 20 amp and we popped the circuit breaker twice when using AC and another load like microwave. The Wi-Fi didn't work at our site and was intermittent when closer to the office. The lower level is a large open field. The sites in the lower field are on the periphery so there is a large central area for recreating. It was easy to set up satellite TV. The bathroom was shabby and in need of an upgrade. Showers were pay type. The pool looked inviting. Owners were very welcoming and helpful when needed. Price is actually $20 for a water and electric site with Nova Scotia's 15% sales tax pushing the daily fee to $23. The dump station is conveniently located on the exit to the campground. We spent three days here while we explored the Annapolis valley and the Fundy Coast of Nova Scotia. We'd likely stay here again when in the area. - Jay Rutherford
Aug 2013 - $35.00
Best Place to camp hands down! Perfect for young children! Clean and Friendly place to be! - rosesas
Aug 2016 - $35.00
Basic no frills campground on the Annapolis River. Payment by cash only. Wifi was very good. On-site propane was very expensive, $US4.80 a gallon by our figuring, also cash only. The park is kept up pretty well, possibly because it is for sale. - Mtmoi
Jul 2016 - $39.00
Located about 20 minutes from Annapolis Royal, this peaceful RV park provides everything a traveler needs to relax after sightseeing all day! Nice, level sites, full hookups (30 & 50 amp available)...this price was for 30 amp. Cash only, no credit cards accepted. Extremely friendly owner, provided a gate opener at no extra charge. Free wifi. Although the owner is hoping to sell the park, he maintains it to the highest level! Lovely place to park! - Home on the Road
May 2016 - $38.00
Very pretty location riverside, and easy walking to downtown. The $38 is the non discounted rack rate but Passport America is honored, 1 night, and we were there multiple nights. Site spacing seems typical for this part of Canada, a little on the close side but no matter for us as we were early in season and the only campers there. Very friendly & accommodating owner. - Veebyes
Jul 2015 - $47.00
Stayed over long weekend July 31 -August 3. Not impressed. Washrooms were not clean by pool, mud was left there from day before and was not restocked. Understaffed for the amount of campers there. They advertise theme weekends but are not run well because of lack of staff. A lot of extra costs there including pay showers. It was a busy weekend but I have to report the pool was very dirty on the first day we arrived and it was not cleaned for the entire weekend. There is a stench of sewer around the pool and near the games arcade daily. There are many seasonal sites, but most sites are jammed in rows. Picnic table was rotten and we couldn't use it. Probably will not return. Disappointing as we had heard good things. Was not worth the $47 +tax per night. - Famoffive
Jul 2012 - $46.00
They pride themselves on their clean washrooms, but that's where the perks end. This is an over-priced park with nothing for the kids. They have a jumping pillow and slip slide but rarely willing to turn them on. What's the point ? Waste of money in my opinion. - Caper1973
Jul 2010 - $43.00
Sites were relatively level, but because they were not completely grassed there was a lot of dirt tracked into the trailer. The picnic tables were old and there were a lot of ants. They have some great concepts but some things require maintenance. The little wading pool was filthy and I would not let my toddler in it. The campground is quiet and the people friendly. - RiverStone
Sep 2016 - $25.00
We stayed in this park for a month, Aug-Sept 2016, while visiting family nearby. It is a nice, lovely wooded, quiet park, with easy access to the HWY 101 and Rte 1.
We have a 35ft. Motorhome with tow dolly and had plenty of room to navigate the roads and our lot. The lots are nice sized with picnic tables and firepits. There is a decent playground and pool.
The owner is very nice and easy going. He keeps the park and the pool very clean.
The few permanent residents all have respectable, well maintained homes.
There is a very nice, short, deeply wooded, nature trail following a creek with small falls over mossy boulders which we enjoyed very much.
The laundry room has 2 washers and dryers, $2/$1.5o for 45 mins., only offering cold water wash. This is the only thing we didn't like about the park. We highly recommend this nice park and will stay again when in the area. - Jo and Bob
Sep 2014 - $47.00
Located a short distance from the Highway, it is a heavily wooded campground. The access is down a short steep hill. Obviously most sites are seasonals. We had a back-in full service site that was easy to access for our 60' combined length. Lots of trees though, so take the corners easy and make sure you position the rig to miss the trees on the inside corner, especially at the far end. The site was level and services were well located and good quality. Interior roads are gravel and are OK, but have seen lots better. Not a bad campground, but rather rich for what they offer. Don't think we would return, unless the price dropped to a level commensurate with the quality. - Oriana
Jul 2014 - $44.00
Rate shown for 30 amp site. Our site was a gravel and grass pull-through that required leveling. All hookups worked fine. There was enough room between the pull-through sites, but no privacy. Our table was next to our neighbours sewer outlet. However, this is a large park and some of the back-in sites nearby had more privacy. Lots of mature trees and a couple of trails off both A and B loops. Garbage had to be taken to the front of the campground near the entrance. No cable TV, but found 1 digital channel off the antenna. Wi-Fi worked well enough for e-mail and browsing. We would come here again if in the area. - Onemoretrail
