Taken over by a pleasant and friendly new owner. The site is wide open as far as an RV park goes but if you have a site down by the Bay of Fundy, the view is spectacular when the tide goes out. Mud flats as far as the eye can see. Then it all fills up with water again about seven hours later. We camped at Five Islands Ocean Resort in a Travel Trailer.

If it hadn't been for the Bay of Fundy and Tides we probably would have stayed at the Provincial Campground. As mentioned, the view of the bay was absolutely awesome.

The new owner most likely has numerous projects for upgrades but seems he was just getting started.

Our site provided a beautiful full view of the bay and enjoyed waking to this each morning.

As mentioned - grocery stores not close by.

Washrooms/showers/laundry in need of some real TLC

As campers came and went, there was no staff checking or cleaning the sites - thanks goodness for thoughtful campers. We camped at Five Islands Ocean Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

We did the touristy things like Peggy's Cove and Cornwallis (a decommissioned military base) so found we had to do considerable driving.

Parrsboro N.S.(45 min away) provided a couple of awesome restaurants and other interesting places to visit.

From your campsite, a huge expanse of Bay of Fundy mud flats opens up as the tide falls. Few can resist walking in the mud, which is thick enough to suck off shoes. The secret to easy movement is to walk in the stream beds that form as low tide approaches. Most sites have good views, but trees encroach beginning with front row spots above #15. There's a new owner and pets are now allowed. We camped at Five Islands Ocean Resort in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

No supermarkets nearby, so stock up before you arrive. Nearby Diana's Restaurant features freshly-dug clams steamed or fried. You can try your hand at clamming. Several professional clammers will be working well offshore at low tide.

Ocean view was excellent. Nice, comfortable and quiet campground. Full facilities. Pool, fire pit, showers, and toilets. Very friendly owners. Some amenities nearby. We would stay there again.

Beautiful and pleasant campground. Although a little on the pricey side, still worth it. We camped at Five Islands Ocean Resort in a Travel Trailer.

Besides a few seasonals setting up for the summer we are first drive ups of the season. Not fully open, but will be in days, but took us in as all we needed was power. Only points lost for almost all sites need some leveling and are a bit close. We camped at Five Islands Ocean Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

What a great campground to observe the Bay of Fundy tides and the Five Islands. This campground is set on the banks of the Bay of Fundy and our site was only feet away from the drop off. Check in was very easy and the rates of this campground was an excellent deal. The pedestal had sufficient electricity and water pressure. We had wifi on site and we were able to pick up 2 channels on the antenna. The staff was very welcoming and helpful with regards to information about the tides. We also liked the fact that the owners came around near quiet time and reminded families that quiet time would be in effect and to be considerate to other campers. We would stay here again if we are in the area. We camped at Five Islands Ocean Resort in a Travel Trailer.

Rate shown Passport America rate for 30 amp back-in with a partial view of the ocean. Some great views from the waterfront sites. Our site was all grass and needed leveling. Water hookup was a challenge due to leaky taps. Shared hookups in that area of the campground. No cable TV, but found 2 digital channels off the antenna. Wi-Fi was strong, but bandwidth controlled to prevent excessive downloading. Even with the rain overnight, no problems with water around our site. We would stay here again if ever in the area. The rate cited is based on the weekly rate for a pull-through waterfront site. We stayed here a week to take in the area and enjoy the sights of Fundy Bay. Nice friendly check-in. We had a large pull through site close to the water. We pretty much had the park to ourselves during the week, as it was off season. The only drawback is Route 2 coming to the park from the Trans-Canadian Hwy is a long narrow road for a big rig. We would stay here again. We camped at Five Islands Ocean Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Very nice park right on the water - rate listed is Passport America. Grass site but firm and clean restrooms/pool. Had a nice view of the tides even from a standard site. It was not very crowded Sun - Tues nights when we stayed. We camped at Five Islands Ocean Resort in a Motorhome.

Our experience here started off poorly at registration. The sites we were supposed to get (there were 2 families camping together) were not what we were actually assigned. The staff person then questioned what breed of dog we had. When I replied "Lab mix", she asked what the mix was because if it was, "One of the aggressive breeds, the dog would have to leave the park." Very welcoming. When we started to get set up, there were issues with the electricity to both our units. This was rectified fairly quickly. The sites are extremely tight, not spacious and huge as the park advertises. The rec hall was not operational so it limited the activities for the kids. There was signage everywhere advising that if the rules were broken you would have to leave. While I like and agree with parks being firm with their rules, I really don't need to see signage everyone threatening to kick me out. One of the staff people came over to our site to complain about someone who left that morning, because they had left dog waste on their site. He said pretty soon dogs wouldn't be allowed in parks and that it's being done now in the states and is working great. Keep in mind that we and the other family we were here with, both had dogs with us!!! They say they are "pet friendly" but it's more like: tolerate dogs if they have to. The bathrooms were in very poor shape and the hot showers were $1/shower which is very expensive. While we were here, two of the toilets became clogged and I had to go to the office to tell them the toilet paper was low. The pool was just fair and there were no chairs available for parents watching kids. The only thing about this park that actually lived up to its advertising is the view, which is spectacular from some points in the park. We camped at Five Islands Ocean Resort in a Travel Trailer.

They do not let you in to see your site, they demand payment up front, and they changed sections on us at the last minute, we were promised a section, and put somewhere completely different. Because of the cancellation policy and the payment up front, coupled with the 'no refund, no credit' policy we had no recourse and were told to take it or leave it. The owner/manager, depending on the situation, relied on their policies to keep our money for the two weeks we paid for up front. You need to cancel two days before or you are locked in! We complained and wanted out of this campground, to no avail, and they relied on the policy. Not impressed with this place due to by the state of the grounds (rusty unsafe playground with no swings on the swing set, dirty pool with no furniture, unsafe rec hall that should be inspected, and dirty pay showers). Be aware of this policy and only book for one night, if you so desire then extend. Because of the location and by no fault of anything but mother nature, this site has a tendency to be very windy during the days. We camped at Five Islands Ocean Resort in a Travel Trailer.

This park could be wonderful if the owners attitudes could be improved. The view is tremendous. The layout of the park is very good, affording many a view of the ocean. The tides here are about 30 feet vertical, but that is not the amazing part. At low tide, many kilometers of ocean floor are exposed, even allowing you to walk from shore to the islands if you had time before high tide came in. HOWEVER: We experienced reverse polarity in the electric supply at our site. Our camper has a sophisticated electric monitoring system that does not allow power into the camper unless it is correct. This is a simple matter to correct, about a 5 minute job. The owners denied any problem with the wiring in the campground, claiming the problem was with our camper. Not only is reverse polarity illegal, it's potentially dangerous. With this kind of attitude on the part of the owners, we wonder what other unseen wiring problems might exist. We observed poor (illegal) wiring practices in the coin laundry room also. EVERYTHING else at the campground is an additional charge. We wanted to put up a "kids tent" on our site. We had already paid for the site and each one of us in the camper. They wanted an additional charge of $11 per night of our 7 night stay for setting up the tent on our already paid for site. I could go on, but won't. We likely will not stay here again if we return to the area, which is beautiful. We would recommend that others find a different campground to stay, also. We camped at Five Islands Ocean Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Price reflects Passport America (even in Canada). We arrived and experienced some inexperience in the office - work camper was new and confused as to which sites we could be on and which we couldn't. PA is offered on limited site, back from the water - although we were super early in season and no one was booked for waterfront pull-thru. Instead we were given a back-in. Site was not clearly marked so we were glad we had an escort to our site. Site is on grass - be careful if it's raining, your rig might get stuck. Pool was not open, minimal playground. We were told we'd have to keep our dog on leash all the time while in the campground (we wanted to let him run after a ball on a hillside away from the 3 other folks who were there, and were denied). Bathrooms have allegedly been updated, but the amount of grime and water stains on the ceiling tiles tells a different story. Staff suggested a destination for us, but neglected to give us complete instructions/details. Same with instructions to shopping (we were advised to drive 15-20 minutes, turns out it was 45 minutes). CG's website advises taking local route to campground - road was in extremely poor condition. When we arrived we learned of alternate routing on major highway. They don't list that one because there's a toll on highway. Wish they had listed both ways and let us decide if we want to pay toll or not (we took toll road out of Province and found the ride so much better) We camped at Five Islands Ocean Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Everything about this RV park is outstanding. This is one of those rare parks that not only does everything right but the people here do it with a smile and a pleasant attitude. The view is spectacular of the Five Islands off the coast looking into the Bay of Fundy. We chose the ocean front premium site but there are other less expensive sites that still have a view. The ocean front view is a 180-degree panorama. Awesome. The owner tells me that they just installed high speed Wi-Fi and I can attest that it is super fast, probably the best I have experienced in eastern Canada. The sites are gravel and level, water pressure is great, electric, water, sewer hookups are together on the correct side (hooray!) and there are no side by side or doubling up on the utilities. If you buy firewood they will deliver it to your site. Can't say enough good things about this place and can't find a single thing wrong except possibly no cable, but heck who needs TV with this view? I will stay here again. We camped at Five Islands Ocean Resort in a Motorhome.

Great view of Five Islands and Fundy Bay. Big tide swings. Clamming area. Wi-fi only in recreation area. (Supposedly wind damaged antenna). Restrooms were functional but very rough looking. Late season, so very few rigs in campground. Nice beach and secluded area. Most expensive campground of two month trip! We camped at Five Islands Ocean Resort in a Fifth Wheel.
