Limited pull through sites. The sites are narrow gravel/grass. Fairly level. Roads are paved with no obstacles. Very big rig friendly. Good water pressure and WiFi strength and speed. Full hook ups and 30/50amp service. Plenty of room between sites. Had a lot of gnats. Nice long walking path. Comfortable walk to the Heritage village. Staff very friendly. Roads are one way, but folks don't seem to follow that guidance. We camped at Sauder Village Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Overall Rating:

A very quiet, pleasant campground near Historic Sauder Village. Even from the far back portion of the campground, the village, restaurant, bakery were just a 10-15 walk. Site was pretty level, but we still used our leveling jacks to lift the front a bit. Utilities were in top notch condition and located on the driver's side of the rig. We had five bars with Verizon 4G, but the campground wifi was awesome. Even on a weekend, we had a pretty good connection that was suitable for email and light browsing. In between the two campground loops was a nice walking trail of about a mile through the cornfields. It had shade trees and benches every so often for resting. Evening walks are accompanied by fireflies. The restrooms/showers were clean and had ice available for a reasonable fee. Firewood is available on your way in from a self service shed. There is a train about a half mile away, but it wasn't loud enough to wake us up. The back loop has no mature trees, but they have young ones planted next to each site. In addition to the group firepits, each site has its own firering. Another thing we noticed was how wide the roads were. Big rigs should have no problem getting around, backing in, etc. We camped at Sauder Village Campground in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Check Groupon for a discount for tickets to Sauder Village. The ice cream shop in the village sells big-as-your-head ice cream cones for just $3. Be sure to stop by the Doughbox Bakery, too, which is just outside the village.

Overall Rating:

We were last here three years ago. The park is still immaculate. Full hookups are available on back in sites but not on pull thrus. The splash zone will be a hit with kids. A nice lake is on the grounds as well as a playground, tetherball, laundry, cornhole, and more. Firewood is for sale. A restaurant and bakery is out front. Sauder furniture outlet is on the grounds. The Heritage Inn hotel allows all camping guests to swim in the large indoor hotel pool and hot tub. Breakfast is also available at the hotel for a price. Each site has a fire ring and picnic table. The staff is pleasant. A loudspeaker announces threatening weather and invites you into the hotel if severe weather occurs. Lots of park for the money here! We camped at Sauder Village Campground in a Motorhome.

Very nice park. It appears that the back section with the 50 amp hook ups was added on to the existing park since it is more spacious and spread out than the front side. The back section was very clean but lacked a bathroom or shower facility. You had to use the one near the front section. I would definitely stay here in the future. We camped at Sauder Village Campground in a Motorhome.

We stayed overnight in a back in site. Check in at the hotel and park in the lot for RV's. We we disappointed to find out that the pull thrus did not have water or sewer, just electric. Not sure why they put us in the older part of the campground as there are many other sites that would have given us more room for our tow car. We had to use the water on the passenger side of the rig instead of the drivers side. Lots of walking trails over to the cute little lake. We had a great dinner at the Barn restaurant and cinnamon rolls in the morning at the drive thru bakery! We had to leave before the Sauder Village opened but it looked like it would be a treat to visit. We camped at Sauder Village Campground in a Motorhome.

Overall Rating:

This campground worked well as a two-day stay to give us a bit of a break from driving cross-country. There was plenty of room in the large parking lot shared between the Sauder Heritage Inn and Sauder Village complex to park a big RV and check in at the hotel. Entrance to the campground is across a small bridge located at the back of the parking lot. The roads accessing the two campground sections are paved and very comfortably wide. We were not able to easily sign onto the campground WiFi, so just used our own Verizon service, which worked fine. There is a gravel path around the "Little Lake Erie" pond, and another straight walking path into town. A number of campers, both young and old, were making use of these paths for walking, jogging, biking and dog walking. We camped at Sauder Village Campground in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

We enjoyed spending our extra day at the historic Sauder Village. Many costumed characters demonstrate crafts such as spinning, weaving, basket-making, blacksmithing, etc. We especially enjoyed watching a crew of horses and men plowing a field to get it ready for planting. The Rails to Trails Wabash Cannonball Trail is nearby.

Stayed two nights and toured the village one day. Very nice campground with clean bathrooms/showers. The firewood and ice are on the honor system. The only complaint is the lack of cable TV. They have sketchy Wi-Fi, but think they should have put cable in when they did the new campsites. The village is a really neat experience if you don't try to rush it. We liked it so much we are headed back in two weeks to finish the village and pay more time and attention in the areas we felt we rushed thru. We camped at Sauder Village Campground in a Motorhome.

Overall Rating:

We only had a 1-night stay here at an electric-only pull-through site, and left wishing we stayed longer. Very nice campground with open feel to it, as sites were reasonably spaced apart. Wide paved roads, easy turns, and fairly level gravel sites. There are 2 lanes of water tank filling stations easily accessed on way in, after you check in at the front desk of hotel. (No worries, huge parking lot out front erased any maneuvering concerns.) Easy maneuvering at dump station also. As with almost every other campground, their WiFi was too overloaded to use, but Verizon signal was strong. Very nice bathroom/shower facility. All grounds and buildings clean and well-maintained. Placement of water supply in some sites we saw was fairly odd, not always convenient. Don't think we saw any seasonal campers here, nice for a change. We camped at Sauder Village Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

The park is very clean and the site we had was level. Had 50 amp, water, and sewer which all was good. Check in is at hotel registration. If you stay at campground you get the use of the hotel pool. Nice place to eat on site, The Barn, good food. Only down side was they use one water supply for two camp sites. We needed the extra hose to reach, other then that it was good. Tips for other Campers:

The Barn restaurant was a good place to eat and the bakery was good for breakfast if needed. Sauder Village is a bit expensive, but a great history lesson for the kids (we spent an entire day going through the village). They also have local craftsman in the village which you can visit without paying for admission to the rest of the experience.

Senior discount for one night stay. Our site was a pull through, gravel, 50 amp, electric only site. The site was gently sloped, but we did not have to use blocks; other sites did have to block. We had good Verizon cell/internet reception and good DishTV reception. The park is an easy 4-mile drive from the Ohio Turnpike. The park was quiet at night. We would stay here again. We selected a pull through with electric, no water, no sewer since they said that the back in FHU sites were not long enough. Many of the back in sites look plenty long enough for our 60' length hooked up. The site was gravel and fairly level. Trees are growing and will provide more shade in future, newer sites are in the direct sun. We didn't make use of the pool and hot tub in the hotel, which are available to campers. We camped at Sauder Village Campground in a Fifth Wheel.
