10 Parks near Berea, Ohio
Sep 2014 - $35.00
Stayed 1 night. Very tight getting to site We had to find it on our own and then site was not level. For $35. I guess i expected more. We will not be going back. - sportscoach 1
May 2014 - $44.00
Could be a 10 but the owner is satisfied with average to almost below average. Once you turn off the main road slow WAY down. The roads are full of potholes. Bad enough to damage your rig if you are going faster than a crawl. The owner is aware of this but refuses to fix. Our site (160) was long, level and spacious. Can't say the same for all of them. Lot of seasonal campers but they keep their sites neat and add to the campground. Verizon was strong. WiFi was spotty at best. Pool was sparkling. Now for a rant: I get tired of reading reviews complaining about no place to walk their dog or nothing for kids to do. Ever considered calling and asking if it is that impt? Dumpster was a hike. Should have pickup, but unlikely given owners attitude. We would stay here again since it is only decent campground near Cleveland. - Scott Charlton
Aug 2013 - $38.00
GS rate. We don't have dogs and were just staying for one night so no gate key was needed. WiFi was good in site 150. Nice grassy site and it did take a little leveling but we were good front to back. Fairly close to I-71 and I-76 so it was easy to get to. I would stay here again. It does look like a summer place for families. Lake and pool but didn't fish and didn't swim. Just wanted a quiet place for the night and got it. - nedmtnman
Jul 2011 - $30.00
Family friendly park, but the trees need to be trimmed back. Low branches along the roads & sites make it difficult to avoid getting the rv all scratched up. - beamer 704
Jul 2011 - $37.00
What a dump. We “reserved” a “full hook-up” pull through site. When we got there, we learned that they don’t have 50 amp, sewer, or pull through sites. Can’t figure how we reserved one, though. In any event, after navigating VERY cramped streets and low-lying trees, we got to our site. It was only then that we realized that we didn’t get what we reserved. Called the office, who basically said, “Oops, did she tell you that?” Long story short, we left. Will never stay here again - would prefer a Walmart parking lot. - Texas Family
Jun 2010 - $35.00
Nothing has changed since the last review. This place is still a dump. I told them that we had a 40' motorhome with 4 slides when making the reservation, however WE had to trim some trees to get into the spot we were assigned, and could not put the slides out on the drivers side of the coach because the space was so narrow (less than 6" between us and the neighbors awning). Also had a hard time leveling and when we finally did, our step into the coach was almost 2ft. Finally, they say that they have a dump station, but it would be impossible to access with a coach of any size as it is in the trees and requires a VERY tight U-turn to access. - rvtravler2009

We affectionately call this one "Camp Wonderful" full of the noises of trains, planes and automobiles. The spider webs in the bath & laundry room spook you. But it was cheap and close to where we needed to be for home inspections. There is a pond, but we were chased out by one the mobile owners who said we were trespassing. Looks like they parked their trailers there decades ago and let the grass grow over them. The owners are very caring. The only thing for little ones are the ability to build a fire and roast marshmallows. We are now looking for an alternative! - BuckeyeBarb
Jun 2008 - $25.00
This was the worst campground that we have stayed in during the last 10 months. There are potholes everywhere leading into the campground, and it is not paved. The sites are a good size, but the campground is run down and it looks like it is occupied primarily by full time residents. The water smelled very sulphury (I believe the campground is on a well), and the shed where the bathrooms were housed looked too scary and rundown to even want to check them out. But the worst part of the campground is that it sits directly next to a railroad and the Ohio turnpike. Trains run all the time and the traffic noise from the turnpike is non-stop. We were unable to get a decent night sleep either night we were there. There is absolutely no way that we would stay here again. - Millermw
Jun 2007 - $25.00
The entry road is covered with a fine concrete like dust that totally trashed the truck and trailer as we came in. It had been raining. This is an old mobile home park with mostly permanent residents in campers. It is sandwiched right between the Ohio Turnpike about 100 feet out our back window and a railroad track on the other side of the park a couple of hundred feet away. I counted three trains in the first hour. The host lead us to our space, helped me back in, pointed out the connections and left, saying he'd be back later for the rent. - glsurratt
May 2016 - $31.00
Nice park out in the country, no noise from anything. The park is gated, with a pass card to enter/exit. Our long pull thru site was level gravel with plenty of grass all around. Utilities all worked fine and the staff was excellent. This is a church camp, so no alcohol allowed outside, just be discreet. There is a well stocked small store for necessities and rv parts. We were there on Mothers Day and joined in a delicious breakfast. Church services are held each Sunday. The lake is stocked with bluegill and bass, for catch and release fishing and swimming, in season. There are many units that are used on weekends, although when we were there mostly empty. If we are ever in the area again, we will surely stay here. - ronboett
Sep 2015 - $38.00
Don't let the Good Sam/Trailer Life rating scare you. This is a nice park and we're really not sure why it gets such a low rating. There is no cable but over the air channels are very good. Most sites are out in the open and provide good satellite reception. There is WiFi, but it's thru a third party provider with a daily charge. The water pressure isn't great. There was no cell service, at least with T-Mobile, which also piggy backs on ATT so thinking neither work. There is a pay phone by the office. The sites are level. The pull thrus have a long, narrow strip of gravel and the back ins are grass. Good separation with plenty of grass. Restrooms are o.k., everything works even if it doesn't look great. Nice laundromat. No pool but nicest swimming lake you'll ever see at an RV park. Huge grassy areas, playground, disc golf, horseshoes. Paved and gravel roads with plenty of room to maneuver. Rural setting with lots of back roads to take before getting on highway if heading for Cleveland. Staff super friendly. - VegasVagabonds
Aug 2015 - $30.00
Well kept park with large spaces, lovely fishing/swimming lake (lifeguard noon to 8 p.m. during summer), playground, playing fields, horseshoes and more. Large pavilions, plenty of room for groups. Many seasonal sites around the periphery, in the trees. Transient sites mostly in the center and open. Gated/secure.
Clean laundry with newer machines, small store. Our rate based on weekly rate. - Ken and Lee
Aug 2007 - $25.00
Super clean, nice and grassy campground. Beautiful grounds. Nice owner. Relaxing place. Great value. - LiveWorkDream
Jul 2016 - $46.00
Not big rig friendly for a 40 ft motorhome. Hard to get into spot due to the Railroad ties and the new landscaping. Equally tight upon leaving due to trees. Charged $6. / per dog? - Casy
Jul 2016 - $43.00
This is like being in the woods fairly close to Cleveland with a few hundred other people. The grounds here are nice. We had good 50amp and water. No sewer sites in this park. There is one road with one lane going into and out of this park. Best to hook up your tow before using it. WiFi is terrible. Verizon is terrible. Bring books. Forget getting a sat dish to work unless in some of the sites without trees over you. This park is quite crowded in the summer. We stay here because it is the closest decent RV park to our family. If I had good other choices I would likely take them. - RFCN2
Sep 2015 - $42.00
This RV camp has both Good Sam and Passport America. It is very pretty to look at, but the sites were not level, there was no sewer at the sites, the power was faulty at our site and kept on going off. We couldn't get any TV nor could we get Dish. We did; however, hear gun shots while we were there. The laundry room was very dirty and there was pet hair in one of the dryers. We couldn't get internet at our site. It was impossibly tight getting out of our site as the corner was very sharp and the roads were narrow. We had to back out and then try to get turned around. We won't be back. - Heysuse
Sep 2015 - $30.00
This is about the closest place to stay to Cleveland. Very convenient.
The sites are overgrown grass. There is power (50 amp) behind each site on the fence. There are water and sewer but unless you have some long hoses you have to move to reach all three hookups at the same time. We had a full tank of water and didn't bother with sewer. For three days, not a problem for us.
If you want a place to stay that is close to Cleveland and don't care about amenities, then this place will work just fine.
We felt safe, received satellite reception, lots of OTA tv stations and it was quiet. We could not get the wifi to connect.
The office is open only MWF 10-3, so we just left a check under the door of the office. - JoeVinnie
Aug 2015 - $30.00
Easy access off of I-71 exit 235, go west on Bagley 1 mile. On the left side you will pass a Hospital and a Bank, then you will see the fairgrounds entrance road with a white fence running along both sides of it. Turn left there and then take the second right, it goes thru a gate in the fence just before the white fairgrounds buildings and the RV sites are straight ahead. Nothing fancy here, all hard packed somewhat level grass back ins. The sites on the left side are full hookup sites. The sites on the right are mostly electric only. One thing I noticed was there are no 30 amp outlets. The 6 electric posts I checked, all had two 50 amp outlets and a couple of 20 amp outlets. You will need an 50 to 30 adapter for 30 amp service. WiFi is available, but costly starting at $1.99 for two hours. Verizon cell and broadband were both excellent. There is a cell tower on site as well as a windmill. They have a weekly rate of $150. - Bob and Inga
Sep 2014 - $30.00
I would not recommend this park. We called ahead to make sure we could get in and the representative said yes. We said we would be pulling in late and they said no problem just pick a site and settle up the next day. When we got there we could not get in as the fairground folks had placed a portable ticket booth in the middle of the driveway entrance. Fortunately we caught the lady from the office as she was leaving and she was able to find a key and open a different gate to let us in. if we had been a minute later we would have been up the creek so to speak. After hooking up our power protection device kept tripping us off line indicating a fault on one of the lines. Checked it with a voltmeter and t looked OK but apparently they have a problem with fluctuating line voltage that was tripping us off. Found the maintenance man and he also checked it and said it must be a problem with our equipment. We left the next day and went to another park and have had no further issues so it is apparent they have electrical supply issues. In addition to the power supply problem, they had mowed the lawn recently and did not bother to collect the clippings and it was quite a mess with grass sticking to everything outside including shoes. At $30/day it wasn't much of a park. We moved further down the road about an hour and paid just a few dollars more for a great park. Even if you have to be in the Cleveland OH area it is worth the hour drive to the other park we ended up staying at. - gray nomad
Jun 2016 - $20.00
Quick stop. Very convenient as you don't have to get off-on Tpk. Can save $$$ by not driving long way to regular RV park.
Basic services are covered in the downloadable flyer. I note the mention of showers being available but didn't look for them in the service center building. - Tireman9
Jun 2015 - $20.00
A convenient basic overnight parking area with 50 amp service. Water and dump station are available. Good Verizon cell/MiFi service. Road noise from trucks entering the service plaza. - Dave51
