I stayed 3 nights, the gentleman that greeted us was very friendly.
There are so many old dilapidated trailers, campers, machinery and junk at the site it is like sleeping in a junkyard. Our water was one of three hoses off of another hose. There was a dump station, but the road to get to it was so bad I didn't want to drive my 5th wheel on it.
When I was looking for a campground on another app I searched for Thompson Ohio. This one and another came up. They both had four star rating, one was $40 and this one was $25. I got back on the app and showed my wife all the great pictures of the place, she hit the map and it came up Thompson road in Virginia, wrong park. - Lindas Old Man

I spent two and a half months at this park as a seasonal. I set the bar pretty low as to customer satisfaction after talking to the manager. The live on site manager is a good man that works hard trying to keep this park running. He is fighting and unfortunately losing a uphill battle with the owner. Most of the improvements that the manager has attempted to get accomplished working through the owner has failed; most of the roads in the park are only partially gravel covered and are uneven and full of potholes making only higher ground clearance vehicles able to navigate them well. None of the underground waterlines have been repaired, leaving a bunch of garden hoses running over a significant portion of the property. I water hose was one of three, yes a tri-gate. My space was across the road from the single garbage dumpster on the property. It was only emptied after a very stern complaint to the manager. The space that I occupied was level and pretty well graveled, but is was only one of five in the park. When I arrived I was promised that a grey water drain pipe would be installed by the work crew. It never happened. Finally, the WiFi that was provided by a private company that you subscribe to was very good but was shutdown without any notice to the campers because the owner didn't want to pay for a telephone land line any more. He refused to reimburse me for my lost WiFi costs. Lily of the Valley is adequate for overnight camping, but then so is a truck stop. I rated this campground a "3", with the manager earning a "10" and the owner a "1". - DANANDHISBETTERHALFJUDY

This is a small campground, family friendly with a pond where campers can go fishing. Across the street is the Thompson Ledges Park, which is a lovely place that few people know to appreciate. It is not far from Geneva Ohio, there are nearby coffee shops with Wi-Fi access. The campground has a washer and dryer, the owner is friendly and outgoing. We camp there each summer and enjoy the family friendly atmosphere as well as the outgoing staff. It is small, not ritzy or new; but it is a nice, not overpriced campground. Any time I have had issues or concerns the staff there has dealt with them quickly with a smile. - gypsysojourner
Jun 2018 - $42.00
We have a permanent site here and love it. The owners go above and beyond to provide plenty of amenities for everyone including an environment where total relaxation can be enjoyed. There is plenty to do for the kids and the adults. Kids Crafts, putt-putt golf, shuffleboard, paddle boats, fishing, swimming pond, Gaa gaa ball, tether ball, hay wagon rides, bingo, sip-n-paint, horseshoes, July 4th firework display, basketball, playgrounds, live bands, pig roasts, kids carnival, Haunted Forest, Trick-or-Treating. Wacky Golf Cart Race, Drive-in Movie Weekend. Dog park, DJ music & dancing. You won't find a better campground with these many activities and still find time to relax and enjoy nature. - Gene - Linda
Aug 2017 - $49.00
Nice park in northeastern Ohio. Many full timers here, well kept sites. RV and tent sites. Park has three main areas on each side of a corps of engineers dam and lake. Free paddle boats and canoes. Short term RV's are in the first section to the right. Sites gravel, level, small wood decks. Most all pull throughs. Satellite friendly. Since the campground is on both sides of a small lake, you will need a golf cart (rent) or car to get around the park. No pool but a nice swimming lake. Very large well kept K-9 off leash area. New upgraded wifi, park wide that works. Park very quiet. Many planned activities. Mostly a weekend park. Interior roads gravel, easy to navigate. Small camp store, basic soda and munchies. Verizon and T-Mobile signals. FHU's to rear of site good. This is generally a local campground, but worth a stop if your in this area. Found staff and residents very friendly. - wtravlr1
Jul 2018 - $54.00
This is a large park with a wide range of sites. Our site had a covered patio with table, fire pit and a gas grill. The site was quite long with a good gravel base and level enough not to need cribbing. The interior roads do need some work to fill in the holes. When approaching this park on Route 528 from I-90 you will see a sign directing you to turn left after a couple of miles. I don't recommend you take this as it becomes a rutted dirt road. Continue on into Thompson, go around the square and onto Thompson Road to Ledge Road which is also a dirt road but you only have to travel a half mile. This is a good park for families. Although it's a long (one hour) trip into Cleveland, there aren't many other choices in the area. - Rd yacht
Jul 2018 - $54.00
One of the nicest campgrounds we have stayed in. We had a deluxe site with patio, table and chairs, swing, barbeque, nice patio, potted flowers and a fireplace. The grounds are well taken care of and pleasing to the eye. The wifi was good, Verizon worked well, cable was OK, OTA did not work well. Power located at the rear of the site. It may take an extension cord or extra hose for some RVs. Small store with pizza and other items to eat. We would stay here again. - Windshift
Jul 2018 - $42.00
This a beautiful park. Well maintained and managed. Do NOT trust your GPS coming from the west on 90. It takes you way out of your way if you take exit 200. Take exit 212 and it's only 4 miles. - Alan S
Jun 2018 - $44.00
The customer service was excellent. They put us into a sunny 30amp site - as we did not know that most of the sites were 30amp. But they were able to move us to a 50amp pull thru site (as we were her for 3 days and it was supposed to be hot). In the section that we were in there were only 4 - 50amp pull thru sites and we got the only nice one - end site - nobody to our exit door (the others were very tight). The roads and the sites are kind of rough shape - it seems that they were working on the roads though. But the game room, restroom and laundry room were excellent. And the park itself is nicely landscaped - hilly and lots of trees and a nice pond that people can swim in. There are a lot of permanent "seasonal" sites, but many of these have lovely landscaping - for the most part an asset to the park. Clean, quiet, safe - would definitely recommend. - Deb and Chris
Jun 2018 - $0.00
Did not camp here. Was checking out to park motorhome before we left the area. Roads narrow and full of potholes. Muddy, had rained the night before. Office no help, did not take me to site, just gave me a map. Roads are not named. Lucky I was in my car, got lost twice. Did not take site. Many seasonal and getting pretty run down. Could not have pulled MH into site. Gravel site. Very unlevel. Would not stay here. - A Adams
Aug 2016 - $33.00
Stopped here overnight because of convenience from I-80. Small and a little tight, but well-kept, and some of the nicest people we have had the pleasure to deal with. Employee took us to our spot, a level pull-through, and made sure we had no problems. Has a lovely little lake for swimming and fishing. Very quiet at night. Would certainly stop here again. - retiredhappyrvers
Jun 2017 - $43.00
Be warned the park does not have WIFI or cable TV. Verizon HotSpot did work. Satellite TV did not work but using the Verizon, we could stream Netflix. Park is large, sites large enough, very wooded. We didn't use any other facilities so have no opinion. Park is clean and quiet. Convenient to the highway. - UllaPool
Jul 2014 - $35.00
We picked this park because it had a playground and a place to swim. The playground is excellent with numerous apparatus for different age levels. The lake not so nice, the bottom is slimy and the "beach" is nothing but dirt. The campground is mostly level but the roads are very rough, The sites are gravel and uneven so water tends to sit after it rains. The wires in a few places are low, so much so, that I watched someone coming in get caught up in the wire crossing the road. The "pull thru" sites are front back ones making them a little confusing, especially the connections and which to use. Our neighbors were very noisy into the evening with their motorcycles and music, the park seems to cater to lots of seasonal and day workers. The sites are mostly treed. - HRambler
Jun 2014 - $35.00
Arrived late and left early, due to tight travel plans. Lots of tall trees, very level grounds, gated. Didn't have a chance to meet staff, but they were super helpful over the phone. Tons of vintage playground equipment, a bit rough around the edges, but kids didn't mind. Swimming pond looked nice but we didn't have a chance to use. Easy pull thru sites. - GMC_STRIPES
Sep 2018 - $40.00
The previous review about the road being closed is no longer the case. I can see where the road problem is and we still had to go around it but only a short distance and without any problem. Our only reason for staying here was to go the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and this looked like the closest place. It is about a 50 minute drive. To be fair, there was a lot of rain before our arrival and some on our first day. The ground is saturated and muddy and the gravel has ruts and puddles. Some sites have pallets placed on them so people can get in their rigs without stepping in mud. For a KOA the sites are actually decent size and not on top of each other. We lucked out with site 615 which was on an end and had a view of one of the ponds. Saw some people catching quite a few fish. Lots of grass for dog walking. Wifi was slow - I used my Verizon hotspot. Laundry is nice and reasonably priced. We did not use the restrooms so can't comment. They pick-up trash and RECYCLE at your site twice a day. I wish more parks recycled so kudos for doing that! I hope they do some road work before opening next spring. - thekites

We were escorted to our site by a friendly staff member. The campground store sells ice cream and fudge made on site. The pool is inviting. - Lane Wise
Aug 2018 - $41.00
Our stay here started off on the wrong foot from the get-go. Since April, the road is closed about a half mile from the campground, and there's no warning on the campground's website. Luckily, a Streetsboro police officer saw us when we were pulled over calling the campground for directions and gave us directions to get there (a 12-mile detour) This campground is quite busy and full most of the time we were here. Unfortunately, the utilities are not up to the level they should be for the number of campsites. we experienced multiple days of power shortages, low to no water pressure, and cable outages. The sewer pipe at our site was not threaded so we had to go out and purchase blocks to secure (which we left for the next camper). As for a KOA, this one is probably at the bottom level we've stayed at during our travels, and we would not stay here again if we were in the area. - Our rv journey
Aug 2018 - $22.00
The restrooms were older and probably a little harder to keep clean, but they were acceptable. Our site was level with central hook ups. The wif worked ok at the site as did the tv antenna. Reception for AT & T phones was good. Use the directions in the PA book as GPS will take you to a low overhang. - Al and Anne-Marie
Jun 2018 - $23.00
This is a beautiful park, lots of trees and a gorgeous, private lake in the middle with a fountain that was lighted at night. You felt like you were way out in the woods, the sites are very generously spaced and partially shaded. There are lots of squirrels running around, one afternoon I just sat out and watched them. The only complaints I have are that one morning the water pressure was really low, and the last day there were intermittent whiffs of a horrible stench from the sewer. I walked to the office and reported it to the girl, who said "the guys are doing something with the sewer, I will talk to them." It was better after that. Also, entering the park, a couple of the turns were a little tight for us (42 footer) and my husband had to stop and back up a couple of times in one turn due to some full timers marking their flower beds with rocks and bricks, but once we got to our site, we were fine. They have a gated entry which is nice so you know everyone driving in the park has an RV there. I would certainly camp here again! - overogal
Jul 2017 - $45.00
We used this as a stop over to and from the midwest. Nice campground with a good size fishing pond. It is pretty in the front where we stayed. The back half looks a little rundown as this is where the permanents are located. Trash bins were smelly both times and located at the bathrooms. Owner was very nice and accommodating. We had an issue with our coach when leaving the first time and he was very helpful with advice and directions. We would stay again. - FT Travelers3
May 2018 - $1.00
This park has major water issues. Everywhere you walked (let alone drive) was a marsh. We were told first come first serve, picked a site, got set up, then told we had to move that someone else requested that site. Roads are narrow and sites only have gravel enough for under camper. Tried another site and was so narrow and wet our truck and camper sank and nearly got stuck. They have low power lines at back of sites (which are also not long enough for most 5th wheels). Indoor pool is nice, but no restrooms anywhere. Lake is very nice. Joined as coast to coast, nothing but lies. Sites are very close together. Just upgraded electric so it is actually usable now, but they charge an additional fee per night now. Terrible campground! - Djesky
Jul 2017 - $1.00
If I had not read the reviews I would not have known how to get in the gate. The lady who checked us in was nice but seemed to be in a hurry it was 2 pm... she rushed through signing us in. We had to ask where we were to go and if there was anything going on. She never gave us a code to get back in if we left and the office wasn't open the next day. They also close pool on Tuesday's...ridiculous!! You can't get to anything on Tuesday...nothing! Can't get into fitness area to workout. Now the good...electric was new and good, hookups were good. Site was nice. The park itself was very clean. We would come back again. - DebT
Aug 2016 - $13.00
Rate reflects Coast to Coast plus friend rate. Check-in was delayed because electric gate was down and no one was in the guard house. Another camper behind me came up to tell me that I had to press a button to get an answer. Once in, the check-in at the office was easy.
We were directed to the camping area that is advertised as pull-through. It is pull-through only if there is not another camper on the other end of your site. It is "first come, first serve" and many campers had taken too much space, so that limited the options on which sites were actually usable. Available sites were back-in, so unhooking the toad was mandatory.
Our neighbors at the site informed us that another motor home had pulled into the site and left after a short time. We soon learned why. Hooking up to the water was an ordeal because the wooden support for the hose bibs had rotted off at ground level so that left the outlet hose as the only support for four outlets. The 30 amp service was not usable. Measured voltage was only 103 volts at the pedestal. Attempting to change the refrigerator from gas to electric reduced the voltage in the motorhome to 85 volts. Clearly, the attempted use for the AC unit would probably damage the unit.
Complaints to management resulted in them reassigning us to a different section of the campground, with the caveat being that they couldn't promise anything. We inspected the newly assigned sites and they were normal household 20 amp receptacles. Before moving the unit, I measured the voltage which was only 104 Volts.
It was clear that staying at this campground was not a viable option, given the temperature and the need to use our normal appliances without risking damage to them.
This campground was well kept for the permanent residents. The section for others was anything but that. The grass needed mowing and the water and electric service was abysmal.
We left and will never visit this campground again. - Lakewood90
Aug 2017 - $26.00
Seems like a very nice park, only downside would be the one shower house with flush toilets. Only stayed one night as we were passing through but am tempted to stay here again for a longer stay, it sounds like there are a number of water activities available for rent (kayak, sup, etc).
Spot was good for the night but it may have been different if someone was in the site next to us. Positive of being in open section is we could see the kids at the playground from our site so they could get some energy out while we set up. - TDC
Aug 2017 - $26.00
Very pretty, well-maintained campground with most sites in forested area. A handful (mostly in camping area 1) have lakeside views. A few sites at the start of each camping area are in the sun. The only thing preventing a score of 10 was that for more than 230 sites total, they have just one shower house with flush toilets (and a couple of laundry machines). There are vault toilets in the camping loops (which I could smell when walking by some of them). Easy drive or bike ride (or a long walk) to the marina and, a bit beyond that, the dog park/beach (which looks really nice). Good Verizon and OTA TV signals. Two-way road throughout park and camping loops so very easy to navigate. Most sites are roomy enough for larger rigs. - aowcarol
Jun 2017 - $27.00
My wife and I really enjoy this park. It does not have a lot of amenities, but it is clean with large semi-secluded camping spots cut into the forest (most of the sites are in the forest) however, there are some sites in an open area. If you want one of the more secluded sites I would avoid 1 - 4, 37 - 47, 93 - 106, and 128 - 131. The campground has 1 rather nice bathroom/showerhouse with laundry machines. The rest of the park has vault toilets which I find to be unpleasant. If you are tent camping here I would recommend a site close to the showerhouse. - GregT44266
