Great "no amenities" park. FHU with no wifi, pool, showers, putt-putt or anything. What you get is a good sized back-in concrete or gravel site for $20 per night! The utilities are slightly towards the back and required 2 sewer hoses. There are about 1/2 dozen sites for transient RVers in a sea of very nice mobile homes. The dog walking area is limited; you have to go towards the street to get more. Lot of retail and fast food nearby. We used this as a base for exploring Cleveland. We camped at Maywood Community (55+ primarily long term) in a Fifth Wheel.

We stayed 9 nights. We paid $20/night plus 6.75%. Avg nightly rate came to $21.35. The reservation process was easy. Check-in is easy with the envelope on the door. Our site was level and all hook-ups worked perfectly. We had solid Verizon cell and mifi and we were able to obtain a DirecTV sat signal (although I suspect not all sites would get a sat signal due to trees). Prior reviewers have described Maywood correctly. The owners are lovely as are all of the residents we encountered. It is clean, quiet and safe. We were able to have a package shipped to our site. There are many conveniences within 1-2 miles (grocery store, drug store, gas station, post office, etc). Numerous big stores (Costco, Target, Petsmart, etc) are about 4-5 miles away. Downtown is about a 25 minute drive. We enjoyed our time here and would love to stay again. We camped at Maywood Community (55+ primarily long term) in a Motorhome.

Hours pass in the blink of an eye at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. It's really fun. Get there early so you can take as much time as you'd like. They have a cafe if you need a sandwich or snack. Enjoy!

This is a great little spot, and as close to Cleveland as you can get, actually. No "frills", just the basics (W/50amp/S) but that's all we needed (& all back-ins). But level, shaded and quiet. The owner couldn't have been nicer too. We had 5 days there, and could have used more to see all their was to see and do in Cleveland! It takes about 20++ min to get into town without traffic. Sure can't beat the price. We sure were lucky! We camped at Maywood Community (55+ primarily long term) in a Motorhome.

Cleveland has so many things to see! Don't miss the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame (takes all day), Cleveland Museum of Art (takes all day), Lake View Cemetery (very cool place, really!), want good deli? Go to Jack's! Rockefeller Park, very unique, drive downtown...lots of cool buildings, statues, and "world's largest"!

This is a manufactured home park with really nice homes. There are about 8-10 RV sites, all back-ins with water, sewer, and 20/30/50 AMP service. Very clean area!!! Manager was super friendly. For the price, you will not find a nicer, cleaner, more convenient place this close to Cleveland! We camped at Maywood Community (55+ primarily long term) in a Fifth Wheel.

We used this park as a stop over from Alabama to Ontario. We stayed two nights. It is off the main interstate highway, but well worth the extra drive. It is convenient to downtown Cleveland. The sites are part of a modular adult community which was well maintained. We were able to walk our dog throughout the community and felt welcomed by the residents. We camped at Maywood Community (55+ primarily long term) in a Travel Trailer.

Others have described this park perfectly - not a place for campers, but perfect for full timers and travelers looking for a base to stay in while visiting the area. The full hookups worked well, Verizon cell/data were strong, and there were ample over-the-air TV channels. Very difficult to see the satellites due to the trees, but the shade was welcome in the near 90-degree temperatures. The owner and his sister were friendly, welcoming, and helpful. Except for the landscaping business next door, the park is quiet, especially during weekends and nights. A great find and even better price, we'll return. What a find. We stayed 3 nights while we visited the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and Museum, and caught up on laundry, etc. This is a manufactured home community for 55+, very quiet, just outside Chesterland, a small town with restaurants and other services. We arrived to find our site assignment and invoice attached to the front door of the office, and simply had to drop our payment in the slot. There are only about 7 RV sites. Spacious enough to not feel crowded. Site was level, utilities performed well. Interior roads are good. No amenities, but we knew that and didn't need them. Decent location, about 30 minutes from downtown Cleveland, an easy drive. We would stay here again if ever in the area. We camped at Maywood Community (55+ primarily long term) in a Motorhome.

This is primarily a mobile home community. There are 9 RV sites that all have 50 amp power, water and sewer. The park is 55+ so no kids but that makes it a very quiet place to stay.

There isn't any laundry or shower facilities so you have to have those on board.

The grounds are kept nice within the park. A couple of the RV pads could use a little TLC but our site (#4) is great. The gravel pad is fairly level and a nice concrete patio area with a picnic table.

At $20.00 plus tax per night it's a great value. We camped at Maywood Community (55+ primarily long term) in a Motorhome.

Overall Rating:

Quiet, peaceful, and so affordable. Primarily a mobile home park, so don't expect much in the way of amenities. Sites are fairly level with full hookups. We made a reservation, but didn't have to send a deposit. If the office isn't open, there will be an envelope on the office door with your site # and details. Drop the invoice in the lock box with your payment (cash or check only). Staff is pleasant and helpful. The only drawback was the busy road outside the park: Not noisy, but the turn is easy to miss, there's no turn lane and only one lane in each direction. Also, making a left into or out of the park can take a few minutes depending on the time of day. We camped at Maywood Community (55+ primarily long term) in a Fifth Wheel.

This is a 55+ mobile home community that is about 20 minutes from Cleveland and has been owned by the same family for many years. It is a totally safe community and has some of the friendliest residents that I have ever seen.
Reservations may be made by phone call. If no answer, leave message and the owner will call back. Sites are slightly shaded, all back in with full hook ups and mostly level. Most sites need to be repaved as the pavement is breaking up but this was not a problem. Need to be self contained.
There is only about 7 or 8 transient sites available and once the word gets out about him, I think he will be a very busy person. Grocery shopping close by with a Giant Eagle within 3 miles and Walmart about 5 miles.
You really can't beat this place for access to Cleveland and all it has to offer. Access is easy. As previously posted, he will leave an envelope with your name on it taped to his office door which is on the right when entering. Make an immediate right to the transient sites.
Verizon signal was strong and the site we were in had marginal satellite due to trees but local channels with OTA was good.
No amenities at all except it is a great place for our morning power walks.
We would definitely go back in a heartbeat! We camped at Maywood Community (55+ primarily long term) in a Motorhome.

This is a manufactured home park that has a few RV sites; you'll need to be self-contained. It is a good place to base your stay when visiting the Cleveland area. Manager was friendly over the phone and had an envelope waiting for us on the front door when we arrived. The office is not always open as previously noted. You place your money in the envelope and drop it in the rent box. Our site #7 was paved, long, spacious, and utilities were easily accessible. As has been noted by others, this is a great park for a few day visit to Cleveland to see the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and other sites. The manager was very nice both on the phone when I made the reservation and when we checked in. The office is only open part of the day, but if you have a reservation there will be an envelope on the door for you and you can put your money in the rent box. Our site was a long backin that was easy to get into. It was under tall trees but we were able to get some satellite access. There are no restrooms or showers, nor is there any wifi. The Verizon 4G signal was strong and fast. We camped at Maywood Community (55+ primarily long term) in a Motorhome.

This is a welcome relief from busy, big, commercial parks catering to everyone. As others have said this is a very well kept park catering to 55+ in permanent manufactured homes. The owner keeps about 7 sites for RVs. It is a quiet location convenient to Cleveland's attractions. The sites are level; some are all concrete. The owner is very helpful and welcoming. Power was good. We camped at Maywood Community (55+ primarily long term) in a Motorhome.

We stayed here for the location close to Cleveland (about 30 min drive). It is a mobile home park with RV sites available. The sites are located next to a garden center. So we did smell the fertilizer and heard the trucks. Basically just a place to stay. No amenities to speak of. The utilities all worked well. Site was gravel & cement pad with a picnic table. Roads are asphalt but are in need of repair. As I said convenient to Cleveland. Nice office manager. I guess I would stay there if in the area. This was our 3rd stay and will NOT be our last. First, the pluses--location, quiet, cost, level sites, shade and best of all, GREAT management. As previously noted, this is in an established 55+ community, but the residents were very welcoming. One gentlemen even brought us flowers for the coach. We were there in May and planning to return for Aug so made reservations. When we came back, they remembered us, had paperwork ready, and came by to make sure everything was OK. So, why an 8? Simple--no bathhouse (known in advance, but still prefer them to showering in RV), no cable (but plenty of over the air TV), and no Wi-Fi. But remember where you are--a guest in a mobile home community, not an RV park. Oh yeah, we'll be back because family is here, the sites are super, and they really make you feel welcome. (Also, excellent shopping and restaurants within 1 mile.) We camped at Maywood Community (55+ primarily long term) in a Motorhome.
