The rate reflects weekly rate divided by 7. This is a long-term park and not really meant for a weekend outing. That being said, when one wants to visit the area for 3 or more nights, the weekly cost of $135/week becomes equal or better than 3 nights at a normal commercial campground at $45/night. We were greeted by the park host on a golf cart as soon as we pulled in. He escorted us to our site, helped me move the picnic table, and then gave me advice on getting into the site. The sites are state park-ish. Electric and water hookup. Some sites are more spacious and typically have long-term residents on them. Riverside sites are all taken, so don't expect one of those for a weekend. There are some really long term units there, but they are are few. No shady characters. Most campers are full timers up north for the summer. There is a dump station near the exit of the park. There is a picnic table and a fire ring at each site. Downtown Cincinnati is about a 15 minute drive from the park. We camped at Steamboat Bend Campground in a Travel Trailer.

We spent five days on a full hookup 50 amp site with a concrete patio. The site had ample room for our 35' and tow. The utilities were convenient and there was a reasonable amount of space between sites. This section of the park looks newer as there were only small trees at the site. Trees line the back of the sites though permitting evening shade. The center road offers concrete pull thrus. We paid $41 for an hour pontoon boat rental and rode around the lake. It was VERY convenient to all things Cincinnati as it was 3 miles S of I275 inside the loop. For a park inside a huge city, this park felt like you were in the country. One complaint: There is an older 30 amp section too. We moved to this area during the weekend. The sites were closer and we had a rude neighbor that had eight cars spend the weekend. Half of these visitors parked on our site.Next time I will tell the VIP about excessive neighbors who don't respect other peoples space. We camped at Steamboat Bend Campground in a Motorhome.

It's a gravel parking lot with crappy campers, no grass,. And don't be fooled, it really has no connection to the Woodland Mound park at all. Lots of rules. We were given a lecture about partying and when we told the lady that we have a three year old, those days are over, we received a lecture on quiet time. So we said we wanted to just camp and run up to the water park -- cue next lecture, on coming in and out of the park and creating a disturbance. We did not stay at this campground. We drove through in our truck to get an idea while staying with family nearby. We were looking for a nice campground to stay at next time we visit. I really liked this campground. It's right on the Ohio River with good views. I did not see any access to the river. It is pretty high up with steep cliffs above the river. No sewer hookups, but the dump station is centrally located. All sites have 30 amp electric. Nicely shaded sites throughout. Very clean. I also did not notice a bathhouse or store either. You must be self contained. This could be a problem if you have to shower and clean dishes with no sewer hookup. Make sure you bring your portable holding tank. We are planning a stay here soon so I'll give the full report then. We camped at Steamboat Bend Campground in a Travel Trailer.
