Very clean and level pull through. There was a patio, but unfortunately covered with goose droppings all over the patio and roads. Can walk to the water, and the park itself is really nice. Many paved areas you can ride bike and walking trails. Will stay there again...and bring a broom! We camped at Winton Woods Campground in a Motorhome.

Basically a very nice RV Park. Large sites. Full hookups. Paved pad. We were very disappointed in the Internet. We called to make sure they had good WiFI service and they said they did. When we were there, we found a number of different connection opportunities, but had a hard time connecting. When we did it was extremely slow and bounced us off a number of times. We also read the message that said if you used a certain amount of data in a 48 hours period, you would be relegated to a dial up speed.

The $48 charge was very high for this type of park, but apparently they can get it with its location. It was full on Friday night, so we could only stay Thursday, which worked out because we moved on to Lexington at a very nice RV park for 1/2 the price. We camped at Winton Woods Campground in a Motorhome.

We spent five days on a full hookup 50 amp site with a concrete patio. The site had ample room for our 35' and tow. The utilities were convenient and there was a reasonable amount of space between sites. Our site had a concrete patio, picnic table, and fire pit. The wifi worked well sometimes; sometimes not so good. The store had essentials as well as pizza they can deliver to your site. This section of the park is newer and has only small trees at the site. Trees line the back of the sites though. The center road is for pull thrus. We paid $41 for an hour pontoon boat rental and rode around the lake. It was VERY convenient to all things Cincinnati as it was 3 miles S of I275 inside the loop. For a park inside a city, this park felt like you were in the country. One complaint: There is an older 30 amp section too. We moved to this area during the weekend. The sites were closer and we had a rude neighbor that had eight cars spend the weekend. Half of these visitors parked on our site. Next time I will tell the VIP about excessive neighbors who don't respect other peoples' site. We camped at Winton Woods Campground in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Segway Cincinnati is great fun!

We have been traveling for over three months and this was my favorite RV park yet. The grounds are beautiful, the spaces large, level and concrete with a lot of space between sites. As opposed to another review, the WiFi was fine. I would not drop a place a bunch of stars due to weak WiFi. We are more interested in the facilities and proximity to what we want to do. There is a wonderful walking path, boat rentals, horses and who knows what else. It was great. Just wish we would have been able to stay longer. Loved this place. We camped at Winton Woods Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

If going to Cinci downtown anytime soon, beware, the roads are being worked on and it's a mess. Plus, if you want to park a large truck you need to go down by the water in an open air lot.

This is a state park with easy access off the highway. Located within a lovely residential area. Park is surrounded on three sides by a river with access to launch canoes and kayaks. Laneways are wide, level and paved. Some RV sites are paved and some are gravel with a paved patio. Picnic tables and fire rings at all sites. Big rig sites tend to have little or no shade while smaller rigs and tents sit among 100 ft tall pine trees. The park is just beautiful. Bathhouse and laundry are nice and clean. Laundry is $2.50 per load wash and dry.You access the RV park through the State Park. There is a $3 daily fee for entering the park in addition to the RV park rate. It is worth it. Facilities are very well kept and staff and campers are all very friendly. RV park also offers small cabins and large cabins for rent. WIFi is very good. No Cable but plenty of channels over the antenna.Wish we were staying longer. We will definitely come back to this park. We camped at Winton Woods Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

We have used and loved this campground for years. Very clean. Great paved roads and the pull-thrus are concrete too. The back-ins are gravel but are very level and nice. We usually stay in the pull-thrus and get great Directv reception. They are full hookups, but we usually don't use the sewer connection. For some reason the pipe is sticking out of the ground quite a way up, so we wait and use the dump on the way out.

A wonderful paved trail goes around the park's lake. Excellent online booking service at greatparks.org. We camped at Winton Woods Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

There is a Kroger and everything else about 2 miles away. Cincinnati has so much and this park is in a suburb. Very close.

Very nice campground and county park. Perfect for exploring Cincinnati or just relaxing. I would be nitpicking to find anything to complain about. We camped at Winton Woods Campground in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

One poster commented on the condition of Winton Road, a main N/S thoroughfare in and out of the city that leads to the park. It was indeed rough. On the recommendation of the poster, I chose to reach the campground from the north even though we came into Ohio from the south. After exploring the area in the toad, we determined Winton Rd. into the city was a perfectly acceptable route, albeit a bit of a rough ride. This saved me some time getting out of the city when we departed.

We camped here during our cross country trip and used it as a home base to explore Cincy & take in a ball game (it's about 15-20 min from the river front).

The campground is excellent...level, full hookups, clean, plenty of space between sites and safe. You'd never know you're on the edge of a big city.

Plenty to do here, paved walking/running/bike path, canoe/kayak, hiking. All in all a wonderful facility. We plan on coming back just to "camp". We camped at Winton Woods Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Tips for other Campers:

Note: there is a $10 parking fee which is not included in the campground fee. It is good for a year at any Hamilton county park.

A good place for what we used it for- a home base to explore Cincinnati. The sites are clean and long enough for 40' + units. The full hookup sites offer no shade; the sewer connections are not flush to the ground and are near the front of the sites. This causes some logistical issues if your sewer hose isn't long enough and also tends to allow waste to accumulate in the hose until you "help it along" by repeatedly lifting and lowering your hose to overcome the raised sewer connection. Yes, we have hose ramps but for the distance we needed to traverse they were pointless. There's also no privacy between sites. On the positive, the sites are well maintained and kept clear of trash. As for the one shower house, it's obvious that it's inadequate with its three shower stalls for a full campground. Most times I visited there was some sort of wait. Not only that, but there is NO privacy in the changing area. The shower area could also use a little deep cleaning because although the showers themselves were clean, the walls and ceiling were growing what appeared to be some mold and mildew. As for the rest of the facility, there is a well equipped camp store that even has soft-serve ice cream and delivers pizza to your site! Firewood was a little pricey- 5 pieces for $4.69. There are nice paved and unpaved walking trails and a splash pad (for an extra fee) that the kids loved. You can also rent boats. There's even a farm with a small petting zoo and pony rides (also for an additional, modest fee.) Plenty of golfing in the area as well. We would return but this is not what we consider a destination park to enjoy the great outdoors. The campground just has a suburban feel rather than natural. For what we used it for, it was comfortable and worth the money. We camped at Winton Woods Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Tips for other Campers:

Plenty of shopping nearby and downtown Cincinnati is only 25 minutes away.

We had a very pleasant stay this summer on one of their Pull Through sites. The park is SO close to downtown, yet you won't know that and feel you are out in the country once inside the park. One tip, the campground is up on a hill and in the summer thunderstorms can come up quickly so don't leave your awning out without support. We lost our awning motor, but there is a mobile tech that does a lot of work in the park that we HIGHLY recommend if you need help.

We would DEFINITELY stay here again. We camped at Winton Woods Campground in a Motorhome.

Campground is very nice. Gated area separates the campsites from rest of park. Very nice long pull thrus that are concrete with f/h. Back in sites are gravel some with great views of the lake. Definitely feel we got value for the amount paid for our stay. We felt it was a very peaceful place and great location to access downtown area. We camped at Winton Woods Campground in a Motorhome.

I stayed on site 7F which is a full hookup site. The site was gravel pad with concrete patio and level. There were no trees for shade but I didn't mind. Restrooms are very clean. Only dislike is that you have to pay $3 each time you enter Winton Woods Park or Section to enter the lake. You can buy a year pass for $10, I personally felt if I paid to camp there that I shouldn't have to pay to enter Winton Woods Park. The park has an excellent bike path to enjoy. The boat rental was very feasible about $44 per hour for pontoon and you don't have to fill it up with gas when you return. I will definitely return again. Make your reservations far in advance because the campground fills up almost every weekend. We camped at Winton Woods Campground in a Travel Trailer.

This park is a real gem. Second time at the park this year. First time, we were able to reserve a full-hookup site. This time, an electric-only site. Very well maintained. Some of the best biking/walking paths we have seen. Wi-Fi worked great. Excellent over-the-air TV reception. Best way to get there-exit 39 from I-275. Head south for approximately 3 miles and you are there. We camped at Winton Woods Campground in a Fifth Wheel.
