This facility need a lot of updating and improvement. From our arrival, I questioned whether we should even stay or not. No one was in the office when we arrived, and no one answered the phone. The owner's daughter was mowing in the park, and when we finally found her she was absolutely no help. Sites are oddly shaped and positioned, and are difficult to figure out. Our site was large and open, which was nice, but when we were placed where we had to be, our sewer hose was 10-15 feet too short to reach the sewer pipe. We had absolutely no TV signal the entire time we were there. On the positive side, when the staff did make their presence known, they were quite friendly and attempted to be helpful, and the bath house/restroom was clean and recently updated. We would not stay here again. We camped at Lake Hill Campground in a Motorhome.Undo

After reading the above review, we thought this might be just what we were looking for as we had to spend a couple days in the Chillicothe area. We arrived an hour before check in time (not many campers yet this year) but the manager was not available to assist us. Her husband couldn't find our reservation and didn't know which site was assigned to us - and there was no way for him to figure it out. It is our understanding these folks came from Wyoming and had purchased the campground sight unseen and was somewhat shocked to find out they had purchased this run down, poorly thought out park. We thought we had found a campground the public had not yet discovered. Unfortunately, the best was I can describe it is to say that with massive infusions of cash and ten years of work, they might bring it up to "primitive" standards. The entry office was not welcoming and it was difficult to tell exactly where the sites were. We drove through the grounds, having been told the flat area was at the rear. When we got up there, we were driving the wrong direction to back into the sites so we simply kept driving and went elsewhere. Campers, looking for primitive sites, will love it here. We are travelers that choose to travel with in a travel trailer, visiting the historical sites and museums. Relaxing in our unit at this CG wasn't what we were looking for. I hope others find it more enjoyable and up their alley. We camped at Lake Hill Campground in a Travel Trailer.Undo
Date of Stay: July, 2006 - $18.00
This was by far the best site we've camped at. The bathroom and shower facilities were newer. They smelled and looked very clean and were well lit. The family felt very comfortable using the bathrooms. Our site was nicely layed out near the 5-acre lake they had. The water was a little better than what you'd expect from a lake. The sandy beach was nice. Everything was in close proximity to our site. The thing that made camping here so pleasant were the owners. They were always around riding their golf carts if you needed anything. They were nice people that just wanted to make sure you enjoyed your stay. We will definitely be going back there in the near future. We camped at Lake Hill Campground in a Tent Trailer.Undo
