16 Parks near Gibsonburg, Ohio
Aug 2015 - $1.00
This Park is now Seasonals only. No nightly, weekly, or monthly. - DoggieDaddy
Aug 2011 - $30.00
We stopped here for one night and ended up staying for three. Extremely nice hosts, and a very well kept park. While not near some of the major restaurants there was an Applebes, and Bob Evans fairly near by. A great bakery is in downtown Gibsonburg too. If you want a quiet leisurely place to stay this is it. Water pressure and electric was very good, and the sites reasonably level with a good distance between campers. We would have rated it higher if they would have had a laundromat and Wi-Fi. - buckeye1268
Jul 2011 - $35.00
Used as overnight stop only - fairly long drive from I-80. To get into park you have to navigate around low overhanging and decorative boulders on the road edges and corners. Pull through sites only available for overnight stays, $30 for 30 amp, extra $5 for 50 amp. Note: pull through sites are better set up for truck towing 5th wheel or trailer, rather than motorhome towing a vehicle due to the placement of the hookups. Fire pits are positioned mid way on the site, not front or rear, so no air flow between sites. No security on site after hours, or anyone to contact. I would not go back. - annmarieh
May 2007 - $25.00
Actually - we left. It was very crowded with lots of vehicles coming and going on poor gravel roads. Not much width or turning areas. Seemed to be lots of seasonals. Friendly bunch, but way too crowded for our tastes. - CacheMann
Aug 2015 - $20.00
Easy overnight place to stop while traveling East on the Turnpike. It's nothing more than a blacktopped parking lot but it does have 50a power which worked fine. The parking lanes are just long enough to handle a 40' rig but you will have to disconnect your tow/towed. There is plenty of room to park a vehicle alongside. There is a dump station if needed. The potable water supply was not useable though - it's a hand pump and I couldn't get suction to start the water flowing. When's the last time you used one of those! Given the amount of traffic that flows in and out of the service plazas and that the camping lot is not secure, we felt a little exposed especially when the door handle on the RV rattled around midnight. Nothing happened and we didn't see anyone around but it did unnerve us a bit. In a pinch, we'd stay at one again. - Born2Roam
Sep 2014 - $20.00
This is a parking lot with electric pedestals. It is a nice level lot, well laid out, and has a dump station. The restrooms available are in the main service plaza building. This is a good place for a night of sleep and a good value in our opinion. - Full Timer 2006
Aug 2014 - $20.00
We stayed in the East Bound service plaza, Wyandot lot. Paved, level, wide sites in a parking lot atmosphere. Our's was 45' long as is our coach. Parked the car next to the site. All sites have 30A/50A service, but no other utilities. A dump station and water are available on the way out. There's grassy, shaded area with tables near the sites. Several restaurants, mini mart, public area, showers, bathrooms and truckers lounge are inside the plaza building. The rv parking and truck parking are located on opposite sides with the plaza in the middle. The entrance road off the turnpike goes near the sites, but not much noise. I hope this convenience is copied on other major roads. - duster340
Jul 2016 - $42.00
We prefer not to stay in KOA, but this one was on our route & convenient to the interstate. They are expensive in most cases & not much to talk about.
Water and electric. Gravel, grass and picnic tables, shaded. Sites were nearby. Pull through. Pool, mini golf (joke), pet run (small), small playground. - jcpjane
Jul 2016 - $46.00
Price reflects Value Kard discount with tax. Roads and sites were gravel. We encountered low branches upon entering, and our premium pull thru was not satellite friendly as requested. They permitted us to move to a second site, which was satisfactory. Staff was somewhat cordial, but obviously not going out of their way to be friendly. They were unable to print our receipt due to a lightning strike, but did not manage to get one to us prior to our departure. WiFi was mostly up and down and elusive, so we used our Verizon MiFi. Would stay again in a pinch. - BigRigTravelerUSA
Jun 2016 - $42.00
For what this campground offers it is a very good overnight and have stayed here several times and will again when passing through. Overnight sites are very close together, not sure if I could have put out my awning had I wanted to do so because of a small tree. Even though it was a dirt site, it rained and drainage was good enough that we didn't have mud in the morning when we left. - Jack&Wanda
Jul 2015 - $24.00
nice level grassy areas with trees-ONLY down side is heavy train traffic noise across the way at midnite to 0500 hrs. - katmandu
Jul 2012 - $20.00
Being from Bowling Green and wanting to spend time with Family & Friends, and no other park readily available we have found the Fairgrounds an excellent choice. The parking for us has always been very convenient, open 24 hrs, patrolled by city police and most accommodating. Dump station is available, water hookups and electric is good but only 1 private 50 amp electric hook up available all others are 30. This is home to the National Tractor Pull and Wood County Fair so be aware that camping here during those events is very restrictive but available. You are 4 minutes from downtown and only 20 minutes from Toledo. Easy access from I-75 or US 6 and close to I-80 the Ohio Turnpike. We enjoy the stay. Dogs welcome and the love the walking due to all the Fair Facilities that are used year round. I will not hesitate to stay here. - rahangman
Aug 2016 - $27.00
Fire Lake Camper Park is a mostly seasonal user campground situated around a small lake and close to (in) Bowling Green. They had about 12 RV sites for short term stays.
Everything was clean and well kept. The staff was friendly, and helpful.
They had a restroom with several toilets and sinks. All well built and clean. The showers were separate rooms with a shower, dressing area and two hooks which were well built and clean.
We had a back-in site with water and 50 amp electric.
During our stay the outside temps were hot and the electric service was great. I ran both air conditioners and the electric voltage stayed at about 119VAC.
We would recommend to others. - William3
Jul 2016 - $27.00
The owner was very accommodating. We arrived after 5:00 and she came to our site to check us in. We stayed one night so the pull-through site was perfect. The people who camp there are so friendly and my kids loved fishing there. I highly recommend this park. The only downside I have to say is that it was not full hookup. Other than that it was a wonderful place to stay. - SoniaR
Sep 2015 - $16.00
Great little park that surrounds a lake. Close to I-75 and a nice place with layover for a night or two. We are a big rig and the pull through was adequate with a nice picnic table and fire ring. Unfortunately it was raining the entire day/night we were there so we didn't get to use them. The only downside to this park is that there is no sewers, only water and electric. Being full-timers, we like a full hook up when we can get it. But, the park was quiet, clean, and easy to get in and out of. Lots of nice little places nearby to visit and very close to BGSU. We will definitely put this place on our list of good parks to layover at. So glad we found it. It was a great value with the Passport America discount. - LovinFT
Sep 2015 - $1.00
A delightful place to stay. We had a pull though site with full hookups. It was very quiet and an easy place to find. We took the ferry to Put-In-Bay and to see the peach memorial. This place has a small golf course, a hotel and a cafeteria. I would recommend this as a good place to stay. - rolling homeless
Aug 2015 - $10.00
Sites are level and spacious. Interior roads are paved and easy to maneuver. Park grounds well maintained but pool areas are lacking (sauna not working, outside whirlpool dirty). The park was perfect for us as we did not spend much time in the park due to sightseeing in the area. Park was like a ghost town given the time of year. No planned activities. Pools were open. Check in at security building. Day shift shift security guard not friendly or welcoming, thus low service rating. No other service provided. - Mustcamp
Aug 2015 - $30.00
Stayed here 6 yrs ago and doesn't seem to have changed much if any. Security comes on strong, but doesn't seem to enforce much. Conditions for hookups is still poor...water hookups bent, electric boxes in poor deterioration causing concern and not being fixed or cared for as evidenced by more than 20 boxes looked at all needing replacement due to elec flashing. Sewer hookups , many many broken yet serviceable, when security contacted, explanation was lawn mowing caused it. Wifi was so slow, used my smart phone. Reservations were for Coast 2 Coast practically unavailable (only 3 slots) and yet park was less than 20% filled! To be fair, campsites roomy and easy access. Location for local amenities is what drew us back a second time, but have initiated another look for other sites. My Coast 2 Coast got me a $ 30 slot instead of a $10 per my membership. Not much value for a campground in obvious decline with so much to offer. Reservation help does not seem too concerned about customers concerns. - rahangman
May 2016 - $43.00
We stayed here early May and this was our first visit to this park. During the week we spent here there was only one other RV in the park, which is just fine with us. No dogs are allowed in all of the Camp Perry facility except just in the RV park, which was just fine with us as we get tired of all the barking dogs and dog doodoo in most parks anymore. The showers and restrooms were immaculate, maybe because no one was using them but very nice anyway. The grounds were kept very nice also. Wi-Fi in the Conference center was very good. We would stay again. - Roger W
Jun 2014 - $35.00
We stayed here four days our granddaughter was shooting air rifles. Nice park. No shade to speak of but had good electric. I would stay here again only if I had someone shooting. While we was there they was experiencing a May Fly hatch of biblical proportions. There were dead flies everywhere. It was impossible to keep them out of our R. Bad smell but it was over about the time we left. Good paved level site. ADMIN NOTE: WiFi is available at the clubhouse - Montie
Jun 2013 - $29.00
This park may have been upgraded since the last review. When we got there, the area had just been mowed and trimmed; it looks very nice. The forty asphalt pads looked brand new to us. They're 45 feet long, but only about 8 or 9 feet wide. The bathhouse looks new, as well. The floor is concrete, but aside from that it's large and very well kept. The Wi-Fi worked well. The $29 rate reflects the discount with a military ID. No matches were going on, so there were only 2 to 4 rigs there the whole four days we were there. They do have a lot of ants; take some yard spray. We would definitely stay here again. - Dream2RV
