This is a great campground if you are traveling with kids, which we weren't. There is alot to do and keep kids entertained. The camp sites were a bit close to one another but they were reasonably level and it was a pull through site. We were visiting family in the area so we didn't spend too much time in the park but when we were there it was quiet and pleasant. We had to wear little paper bracelets to identify ourselves as registered campers and I found that annoying, felt like a hospital patient! We have stayed there in the past and would stay there again. - LeoTraveler
Apr 2017 - $53.00
We stayed Easter weekend on a Friday. Road in and out is two lane rural. Staff was excellent and always helpful. Campsites offer a mix of trees and open area. Lots of activities for young and old at this campground. Could be more easily labeled a "Funground". Some amenities cost extra. We paid $10 each to do zip line on Saturday morning. The stream is free and our 10 year old had a blast wading out. I found multiple Indian artifacts along the rocky banks. Our pull through site didn't offer a pad or patio but they allowed us to put down our mat in front door area. Cell reception with AT&T was good. Digital TV not so much but we didn't care as there was plenty to do. Lots of activities are planned by the park. We filled our propane tank as we were leaving and staff was very helpful and cost was minimal. We only stayed the night as we had other places to be but we could definitely come back to Lazy River and recommend it highly to campers with kids. - Sinjin79
Aug 2016 - $46.00
We love this campground. It's a very family-friendly. Our favorite spots are in the back next to the creek which the kids love to play in. It's only a foot deep max. Our spots are surrounded with mature trees and are huge. You can sit in our spot around the camp fire and watch the kids play in the creek.
The only downside is they are electric and water and cable, no sewer.
This year they added a BMX bike track and laser tag and frisbee golf. There are also adding a new shower house. The current shower house is fine and well kept. It's a nice family run campground. Super great for the kids with lots of activities. It's not as big as some campgrounds but that suits us great. There's a nice place to get snacks and ice cream.
The pool is a little small but the water is always warm and nice, and there's a splash pad right next to it. There's also a zip line and a wire obstacle course.
Very secluded down in a ravine in the trees. Camping the way that it should be. It's family-owned and I think both the daughter and son are involved. Everyone who we've interacted with are good people and the staff is great. - osubuck94
Jul 2018 - $69.00
Weekend stay to attend a chapter meeting. Office personnel friendly and efficient, led us to our site. Clean ad level site with good amount of shade. Gravel sites very close together. Water pressure on the low side. Noise levels were high until about 10:30pm, but that's to be expected at a KOA that caters to young kids. We enjoyed the pavillions for our gatherings and the on-site restaurant for breakfasts. - Movgfwd
Jul 2018 - $68.00
Stopped here for one night during a cross country journey. Had a pull thru patio site which was nice although we didn't really use it as the stop was mainly for sleep. Did find the site a little untidy with the grill at the neighbors site and the swing set setting half on and half off the concrete patio. Park was quiet and far enough from I70 so no traffic noise. - Rmpbap
Jun 2018 - $47.00
Nice park & people! A lot for kids to do. (We did not have children with us) Have been here twice for overnight. Put us in one pull thru on one side of the park, couldn't reach hookups, moved us right away to the other side, no problem. Need to get organized on their pricing. Was told on a previous stay, 15% Veteran discount, called, upon check-in told it's the same as the KOA discount of 10%. Very clean! Have sites for satellite if needed. Roads were okay to navigate, and in good condition. We drive a 36 ft MH and tow a 4 DR Jeep Wrangler. Easy on/off I-70 Would stay here again. - JoppaFolks
Aug 2015 - $30.00
I only gave it a 9, because it is way out in the country. That was OK with us. Quiet place. Good Wi-Fi. Friendly place and the manager very helpful. Also a small place. Clear sky for the satellite. Shower has very hot water and lots of it. All grass. You can only enter (the entrance) of the campground if you are going east. Call for directions before coming. Leaving campground and going east, you will need to go out a back gate. No problems there. If coming in from the west, you will need to come in the back gate. Campground entrance is on a sharp curve and making the left hand turn is almost impossible. No traffic as it is in the country. We will camp there again, when in the area. - consmith
May 2017 - $28.00
We stayed here because of the park's proximity to an art class that my wife attended. It was recommended by a friend of a friend. This was a mistake. We made our reservations about a month before our planned arrival, then decided we wanted to come in one day early, so we called three times during our drive to the park, and left a message each time; no one ever returned our call, yet the office was open when we arrived. The water here smells bad, tastes bad, and left a rusty residue in my water hookup port. All the sites are grass, and after some rain, we were essentially in a mud hole. Most of the sites are occupied by permanent residents. We would not stay here again under any circumstances. - russingr
Sep 2018 - $40.00
This park is quiet, out of the way and family oriented. Lots of seasonal campers. They also offer tent camp sites. Management is helpful, and the grounds are clean. Weekly pump out is included with the site. - LKD
Jun 2018 - $38.00
This park is little more than a farmer's field with some gravel spread here and there. The sites are less than adequate for a larger unit. Our 40' fifth wheel took the entire site and left little room for our truck. On day one I was told to park my truck on the side of the site next to the pedestal (4x4 in the ground). The first night that area became a pool of about 6" of water. On day 2 I was told to park across the site in front of our trailer. That supposedly caused a 45' motorhome to get stuck in the mud. On day 3 I was told to park at the rear of my coach. That blocked access for other travelers to get to their sites without becoming mired in the mud which was everywhere. Finally, I parked next to the coach (very close) so that I couldn't use the picnic table (not that I would...it was very dirty). There is no sewer connection except for gray water. We were told the gray water is dumped in the adjacent farm field. The electrical service is deficient to say the least. I was getting low voltage alarms for the entire 10 days we stayed there. On 2 occasions, my batteries were completely depleted so we sat in the dark. My power monitor was showing less than 90 volts most of the time. The management/owner is rude...but maybe that's just his way. We would not stay here again on a bet. - GreatGoogly
Jul 2016 - $35.00
The park is a bit difficult to get to but is a very attractive park when you do with many large trees and lots of shade. Sites in the heavy timber have gravel pads with very little grass, due to the lack of sun but are nice on warm days. Overnight sites are pull through with easy access, gravel pads that are close to level. Nice swimming pool, very quiet and friendly. We were happy that we found this out of the way park and will go back if we travel that way again. - RV Camper1
May 2018 - $50.00
This is truly a hidden gem. Beautiful mature trees, lots of activities for the kids. We had an excellent time. We will absolutely go back again and again. - carolanddoug_71
Sep 2017 - $50.00
Great family oriented campground. Friendly owners and clean facilities. Poor tv reception, but we don't go camping to watch tv. We can do that at home! - Bobbi F
Jul 2017 - $50.00
Rustic Knolls is a perfect quiet getaway. Their seasonal sites are nicely shaded and large. You've got room to spread out, plenty of privacy but not so much that you can't be neighborly. The owner is fun, the whole place is friendly and the facilities spotless. - Ladybugjrm
Sep 2017 - $25.00
I am a part time full timer and spent three months at this park. The staff was very helpful anytime I asked questions. The park needs updating and they need to keep up on the mowing of the grass as it gets long frequently. They have a very large seasonal section and a much smaller non-seasonal section. It is convenient to Columbus and most sites are easy to get into (however they are not very wide at all, my slideout would overhang into the site next door). - A Chevalier
Aug 2017 - $47.00
Our family stays here monthly, we've been here for 3 months so far, and we love it! There are many activities to choose from all summer long, and during holidays. The pool is very large, and up to 10 feet deep. The lake is a nice place to take a walk around as well as to fish. And they also have miniature golf that's free on Fridays otherwise it's only a $1 per person. The staff here has always been very nice to us, and have helped us as best they could when we needed it. We are so happy to have found this place! - kayaryan2
Aug 2017 - $47.00
The staff is very knowledgeable in every aspect of camping. The employees in the camp store are incredibly nice, we bring our kids in here and they are always very sweet with them. They have a pool, restaurant with bar, as well as basketball hoop and mini golf and a fishable lake. All throughout the summer they have a lot of activities going on that are a lot of fun. They have on-site maintenance. - chapmannate0623

May 2008 - $33.00
Good entertainment there on weekends. Campsites are REALLY close together even without a slideout. A lot of people who like to party there (not always so good). Would go back but don't expect it to be quiet there. - 4Lancaster
Jul 2017 - $19.00
We stayed at Dillon State Park to visit friends in the area. It has Passport America rates for non-prime days of the week (I think Monday-Thursday) - so our rate reflects one night with just a senior discount ($27) and 3 nights with PA ($15.67). There were no very convenient locations to fill with fresh water without blocking the roadway. The water at the dump station indicated that it was not potable. Good areas for walking around the campground. There are photos on the reservation system which help with knowing the configuration of the site (trees, levelness) - but many of the trees have been removed since the pictures were taken due to elm disease. - pattic777
Jul 2017 - $13.00
A nice state park just north of Zanesville. Pleasant workers and nice campstore. 50 amp electric no water or sewer at sites. (would have rated higher if W/S) campground laid out in 3 sections. Some sites uneven and small. Pads a little narrow but paved. Beautiful mature trees. Lake looked nice. Nice beach with splash pool nearby for little ones. - cincychic
Jun 2017 - $13.00
Dillon State park is one of the nicer kept up parks within the Ohio State Parks system. The campground is 5 to 10 minutes from Zanesville making shopping an easy chore. There are two convenient stores about 2 miles from the main campground entrance and a small restaurant about 1 mile from the campground. The terrain is gently hilly within and outside the campround, with lots of hiking, biking and bridle trails. A very large beach, along with lighted tennis courts can be found about 1 mile from the campground entrance. The campground store is large and sells ice cream which was nice during the hot weather. On Saturday nights a movie is played outside near the campground office. Most of the employees at the camp office were very friendly. Park rangers patrol the campground quite regularly. An 18 hole disc course is kept up. Lots of black raspberries and blackberries can be picked just about everywhere. Lightning bugs galore and the smell of honeysuckle permeate the air. Walk-in sites around site 106 get a very strong Verizon 4g lte signal - 4 to 5 bars. - mynyel
Oct 2015 - $45.00
This place is a dump. Not maintained at all. Full-time campers have trashy sites. No kidding when I say this, FT camper was sitting outside his camper in his underwear, his wife in shorts and just a bra drinking PBR. Tried to get hold of management but they never answered the phone for 3 days. Grass had not been mowed in a couple of weeks, tree limbs everywhere, their so-called pavilion had 4 ft holes in the roof. Hard to tell where sites were because the lots were grown over by grass. When I asked about a picnic table they said go find one. Same with a fire ring. They made their web page look so great, but the place is a DUMP. Was so not worth the drive way out there. Go somewhere else, unless you like Deliverance type of a setting, just listen for the banjo music. Seriously. - Wayne Conway
Jul 2015 - $40.00
We were camping with a group of 4 campers and all booked together. When we arrived they had not kept us together. The reservation does say site #s not guaranteed but they could have tried to keep us together. There was no picnic table at our site when we arrived. We were told picnic tables and fire rings are first come first serve we would have to go find one ourselves. Had to go to the rustic side and load a table into the truck to move it to our site. Site had piles of nails around where fire pits had been moved after burning wood with nails. We ended up with a nail in our tire. Nice large pool but most of it is under 3 feet deep with one small corner being 3 ft 8 inches. Nice for little kids but not for our teenagers. Extremely rude people who cut through our site continuously to get to the pool, but the way the pool and playground are situated you almost have to cut through a site to get to them. Bath house is very old. Toilet seats broken, shower that doesn't work but not marked out of order so you don't know it doesn't work until you are in it trying to use it. When mentioned to the staff that the water won't turn on were told they shut the water off to that one its broken. Some kind of party going on at one of the picnic shelters until after midnight playing loud music - quiet time definitely not enforced. The only good thing I can say about this campground is they did let us do a late checkout since we were there for a softball tournament in the area and had a game after normal checkout time. Will not return and would not recommend. - Luv To Camp
May 2014 - $35.00
We stayed here on Memorial Day weekend. Not real happy about our stay here. Very few things for the kids to do here, only one basket ball hoop in entire park. There is a small lake for fishing, but the kids only caught a couple fish and got bored quickly. Signs on bathrooms say that they are remodeling, but they should at least scrub the mold and mildew off the walls and tile. Shower curtains cost less then $5.00 but here they are also covered with mold (wish i could post a picture). Sorry, but I will never return until they clean up this place. - rodsmack2737
