8 Parks near Greenville, Ohio
Jun 2011 - $15.00
Keep in mind this is a Fairground, but large area for walking or riding your bike. Grass Sites, some full hook-up, some with just electric. Close to grocery and fast food. Great Steakhouse across the street "Fairlawn Steakhouse". We stayed for a month. Eldora Speedway is maybe 30 minutes away. Dayton, Ohio is about 30 minutes away also. There is a "Kitchen Aid" store downtown where they sell mixers & small appliances. If ever around the area I would stay here again. - RVman3252
Aug 2016 - $30.00
The owner was very friendly and stayed open later than normal to meet us, as we had a problem on the road that delayed us. The road into the camp is quite twisty and narrow in spots. The roads in the camp are easy to navigate. The camp is very well maintained, lots of flower gardens and two ponds, one large one small that add to the beauty of this place. Plenty of benches and picnic tables around the pond. You are surrounded by farms and fields so it is very, very quiet.
Lots are gravel with a cement patio, a little on the narrow side and just long enough for our 37-foot RV, tow dolly and parking. There is no WiFi, our Verizon service was good and the hot-spot worked great. Did not use the bathrooms or laundry. We stayed one night, August 16, 2016, would have rated higher if there was WiFi and site was a little wider. We paid $30.00 with our Passport America discount. - BarrettsHappyTrails
Jul 2016 - $27.00
Staff very friendly. Access for big rigs not so friendly but they help you get to and in your site. Sites are very well manicured with pretty flowers and shrubs....but very tight. Campground is very visually appealing with very pretty lakes. Dumpsters well away from everyone near the entrance. Pool is well maintained and all very pretty. Lots of kids. WIFI None, Cable None, TV Reception almost none. VERIZON, AT&T, SPRINT cell phone service very sketchy, albeit sprint hot spot worked. We came here to visit points of interest in nearby Dayton (about an hour away). We stayed in a 40 foot motor-home. Passport America rate $27. Passport America site says P.A. discount is valid Sunday through Thursday. Not true. Arrived Sunday and paid full rate for Sunday, then PA rate for Monday. - Denny Pike
May 2016 - $48.00
My wife and I stayed here during the week, before the weekend rush. Was unbelievably peaceful and quiet. Very remote location. We'll go back for that reason alone(We had previously stayed at the KOA in nearby Richmond, which is about 500 feet from I-70. Big rigs all night =big mistake). But on top of the tranquility, the place is well run, owners are so helpful and friendly, and were very willing to help us with advice about local things to see and do. Having said that, the CG has dozens and dozens of seasonal spots, which made for a completely different feeling when those began to fill up Friday evening. Wasn't quite as peaceful, but not too bad. Didn't fish myself, but people are regularly catching 30+ pound catfish in the lake. Area nearby is well known for antique shops, plus we took a very interesting tour of the KitchenAid factory, the only place in the world that makes the stand mixers. Factory is about 12-15 miles from CG. Highly recommended. - VacuumTubeAmpMan
Jun 2016 - $30.00
The bathrooms and showers were clean, but stalls were short so that when you stood you could see the rest of the bathroom and the showers were a tad small. Still, not bad. The pool was extremely clean and had many activities (Foosball, ping pong, etc.) for people to play at. Mostly seasonal campers, but great even for just overnight! Overall, a really great experience - oh, and the service here was great! Every time I have met a staff member here, I have been impressed with their quality of service. All in all, a great time. - crosscountrycollegian
Apr 2016 - $36.00
Have stayed here several times visiting friends in area. Will stay here again any time in area. Very nice people, small but like the layout. Not a fancy place but was always here either at just the end of winter or early to mid fall so either trees are not yet filled out or void of leaves. During height of summer, with pool weather, fully leafed out trees would be very nice. Only thing some won't like is that park is right next to a fairly heavy traveled road so noisy. - alh
Sep 2015 - $30.00
Nice owners and park is old ,but clean. WIFI is great. Sites are fairly small, but Okay. Easy in and out. Would stay there again. - johnmackxx
Aug 2016 - $46.00
Stayed 3 nights. Arrived, plugged electric in, the box immediately started smoking and I quickly unplugged with some slight damage to my plug. If I had walked away like I normally do, this would have bee BAD. Called desk and they sent 2 men out who replaced the 30 amp plug. They offered no apology, didn't even talk, but it was fixed. We found the place nice, restrooms clean but the showers are terrible! No place to put your clothes or towels, no seat, no shelving. You can't adjust the water temperature. You turn it on and you get what they have it set at and it's cold. We did have fun at the pool and beach but we probably won't come back because of the bad showers and it is crowded at the sites. You are packed in tight and you have to back in to about 4 feet from the camper behind you because of the positions of the outlets and water hookups. - Mike4625
Jul 2016 - $48.00
I really enjoyed our stay and will definitely return again. The sites in the middle are a bit on the smaller side in width, but had plenty of room for the fire pit, picnic table, and our corn hole boards in front of the camper. The quarry is very nice to swim in, and there is also a pool. There are two playgrounds for the little ones, and the park is very bicycle/scooter friendly. We rode the camp shuttle, which is a stretched golf cart with two trailers with bench seats down each side. The store seemed to have a lot to choose from, and was reasonably priced. - 26River
Jul 2016 - $35.00
Large lots either pull thru or back in. Given a map of lot choices when we checked in. Only problem we had was the choice of lot we chose was already reserved. Had already set up and had to move to another location. The pool and pond get a bit packed during the day but the public has to leave at a certain hour and only campers are allowed from that point on. Our grandkids loved the pool and the pond swimming. Grandkids want to go back as soon as possible. We just left yesterday. We will go back again. - Loandiva
Aug 2016 - $20.00
We were in a pull thru site but would have preferred back in site in a grassy area with fewer trees. One lane road in and out of park could be a problem if meeting an oncoming vehicle. Some permanent sites but they are well maintained. Park is well maintained, lots of things to do and restrooms are very very clean. Passport rate is cash only. - Mustcamp
Aug 2015 - $25.00
Since we were using Passport America we had to use a back in and had to unhook our tow. The site was a little unlevel and would have been a mess if it had rained, there would have been a lot of mud. The owners were very nice and helpful, plenty of trees and several wood carvings that are beautiful. It wasn't too far off the road so it was fine for overnight. The wifi worked in their barn (rec room) and was fine. - SGF
Jun 2015 - $32.00
We enjoyed camping here so much we extended our stay. The campsites are relatively spacious and the campground has lots of trees. We were here in early June, and the fields and trees surrounding the campground were filled with fireflies at night; it was lovely. The campground owners are very friendly and accommodating. In addition to providing fire rings and picnic tables with care to level the table, they also recommended events and museums in Richmond which were delightful. We travel with two dogs, and the campground is very pet friendly and has a small fenced dog run for dogs to be off-leash. The pool looks inviting and clean, and although it was too cold for us Floridians to swim, others were enjoying the pool. The campground is conveniently located just off I-70, but there is no highway noise in the campground. - User3725
Sep 2016 - $41.00
Even with no satellite reception, this placed rocked. The owner was always around if you had a question and was a great guy. Nice pool, excellent wifi and cable. Pool nice. Quiet park. Would stay again. - kimble
Aug 2016 - $46.00
First, the guy in the office was nice and very helpful. That said, this campground was disappointing based on other reviews I read. We were looking for a weekend getaway trip close to home and really thought this would work. We camped in a 37' MH. Campground roads were pretty narrow. Unfortunately some campers parked their vehicles right up to the road which made our exit Sunday morning quite precarious and needed another camper to make sure I was clear on both sides. Many pull-thru sites but few were level. Saw some RV's with wheels on blocks and one guy actually had his front wheels a few inches off the ground. Ours was somewhat level only if the back of the RV was right on the edge of the road as the site had an upward grade to it. Sites were pretty close together all gravel. Some had concrete patios - ours did not and was muddy. As pointed out before this campground is right on I-70. Contrary to what others have said, there is A LOT of road noise, which was irritating at night when trying to sleep. I was looking forward to the fishing pond but the water was very muddy at the time so I opted not to get out the fly rod. Not a campground on our shortlist to return to. - iceman308
Jul 2016 - $41.00
Park is well maintained by the owner which is always on site. Close to I-70 but road noise not an issue. We had a full hook up site which was very level. The Wi-Fi and cable worked very well. Lots of trees so sat TV, not an option. The owner and staff are very friendly. We stayed for 5 days to visit family in the area. We will stay next time we are in the area. - belanga
Sep 2016 - $48.00
This is one of the nicest parks we've stayed in and it maintains the high level of service required by KOA. Plenty to do and it still maintains the "woodsy" feeling of a State or National Park. Convenient to all of the Dayton area attractions. We look forward to returning. - hughdogg6
Aug 2016 - $46.00
Large CG about 8 miles west of Dayton with easy entry on paved CG roads, but further in CG gravel roads. Pull through sites for Class A MHs closer to the camp store mostly without shade and many not quite level, but many trees shading further in back in mostly level graveled sites. Sites have long concrete pads by the graved, but narrow RV pads. The CG roads and sites are in curved twisted arrangements, and it is easy to get confused where you are, but CG map and well marked site numbers help.
Very clean Bathhouses with like new facilities. Unable to get WiFi reception at my site. Lots of kid activities about; for a price. Two lakes with walking path.
Pricy for two overnights just to sleep while on business in Dayton. Only CG nearby Dayton except even further east of Dayton state parks. - 210jem
Aug 2016 - $46.00
Very nice camp with swimming pool, two attractive ponds, shade, and cleanliness. Guide in golf cart led us to site. Quite a bit larger than expected. Fairly good pull-through. Pleasant surroundings and quiet.
Very easy to navigate, clean, attractive overall. Everyone seemed friendly. Would stay again. - Georgiajan
Aug 2016 - $26.00
My rating is based on midweek when only about one in twenty sites was taken. On the weekend it wasn't as tranquil. The campground is part of a large park that goes for miles along the lake. There are paved trails all through the area, playgrounds, volleyball, basketball, boat launches: but it's spread out.
There's also a network of more rustic trails for biking or hiking, flat. If you like to fish or kayak: you could do that. The lawns were lush and green for us, but word is it was parched brown a couple weeks ago. I loved it here.
Oh, no water at the site. Come with enough for your stay as there is just one tap at the entry. - Darleen
Jul 2016 - $26.00
We stayed here as a stop before attending a music festival in the area, to dump and fill our tanks and spend a relaxing night. We were not disappointed. Our site backed up to a small channel off the main lake and was very deep. As the weather was hot and humid it was great to have 50 amp without running the generator.
This is on our must visit list to spend more than 1 night. There was a large group in the interior of the loop, all having a good time, but not in anyway infringing on anyone else's fun. We walked around part of the lake and enjoyed the wildlife. The staff all were very friendly. - htowners
Aug 2015 - $27.00
This was our maiden voyage camping in a travel trailer, and it could not have been any better of an experience. The park was very clean, and had shaded sites, a nice playground, trails, bike rentals, and a camp store. The restrooms and showers were clean, and there was even a place to do your laundry. Everyone from the staff to other campers were very friendly and helpful. It was quiet and peaceful at night, and they had movie night for the little ones. We will definitely be back, for a longer stay. - 26River
