Overall Rating:

Used this park as a one night layover as we drove north on I-75. The park is located about 20 minutes east of the interstate. Since it was Fourth of July week the park was completely full. Lots of kids enjoying themselves riding bikes, adults on golf carts cruising the camp road, and lots of boating activity. We stayed in the D loop with full hookups. These sites are close together for a state park with little privacy. Most of the sites are electric only and some of those have more space between sites. There are a wide variety of sites here so choose wisely if you plan to stay here. Water for RV tank filling is available at the dump station. Most of the restrooms were small and very old but new facilities are being built. There is a nice new pool as well as a sandy beach. The campground when Full certainly isn't a return to nature type place but it was nice seeing so many families enjoying themselves and making memories! We camped at Indian Lake State Park in a Travel Trailer.

The sites we were in had a great view of the lake but were so low that when it rained (much of our visit), the sites all around us & ours were nearly underwater. On top of that, the state does nothing to get rid of the hundreds of Canadian geese..overall the campground needs a lot of attention in the "D" section. We camped at Indian Lake State Park in a Motorhome.

This was a horrible park to be at over the Memorial Day Weekend. Everyone is packed in together. Tons of kids riding their bikes everywhere. Traffic everywhere with golf carts and boats. Our neighbors were noisy, cussing and inconsiderate. The showers had only cold water and most of the parks is electric only. They did have ice and a pool with another ton of kids. We camped at Indian Lake State Park in a Travel Trailer.

Full hook up backed up to lake, fire pit and table. All recently updated. Huge park with over 400 sites. Our stay was after Halloween weekend when park was full. Nice beach: though we had rain, wind and cold temps. New pool - closed for the season - looked nice.

After Nov 1, all electric and water is shut off except electric in Area A. We stayed in Area D. Bath house and restrooms were a long walk from our area. Power pedestal on D 35 was nearly new. We camped at Indian Lake State Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

Water sports are main draw. Russel Point has Woody`s Diner: fried chicken dinner was great and reasonably priced.

In Lakeview, there is an IGA with fair prices, nice selection of grocery items plus a hardware section in back!

Tough to find a station that had diesel: fuel up off I-75.

Love this campground. The price for electric sites that are not waterfront is $28.00. This campground is nice for all types of campers. This year the campground added a swimming pool and splash pad. We will be back to this campground soon. We camped at Indian Lake State Park in a Travel Trailer.

This large, clean park is right on the lake. Most of the sites are electric only, but there are some full hook-up sites (50 amp electric, water, and sewer). Most of the shady sites are electric only, but there are a few shady sites with full hook-ups. Our site (D28) was in full sun, and had full hook-ups. AT&T cell phone signal was okay here. I would happily stay here again if I was back in the area. We camped at Indian Lake State Park in a Travel Trailer.

Overall Rating:

Really enjoyed our weekend stay at Indian Lake. Busy State Park with lots of kids and adults on bikes, but we stayed in the C section, which is away from the madding crowd a bit. Cricket wireless (AT&T) was solid for me all weekend.

One annoyance was the signage for the potable water was nowhere to be found, not even on the online map. It's at the dump station and as you're leaving the park. And you're about 20 minutes from any real grocery store.

But other than that, it was a very pleasant weekend stay. If you have time, check out the Neil Armstrong Air and Space Museum in Wapakoneta. We camped at Indian Lake State Park in a Travel Trailer.

Great campground for boaters! Although we don't boat or generally use the beach/lake area at all, we still enjoyed our stay here. We originally reserved a lakeside (full hookup) site. Once we got there and saw how crowded the sites are in that area, we switched to a different one with more privacy.

The lakeside sites would be nice for families with small children. There were TONS of kids running between and through all the sites. Being just the two of us, it wasn't really what we were looking for - definitely wouldn't be a relaxing trip! We moved to C49 and it was absolutely PERFECT! Very spacious/private and close enough to a water spigot to fill up with our hose. The site had a perfect balance of sun and shade. We camped at Indian Lake State Park in a Fifth Wheel.

First time to this campground. Camped in Area C. Shade is not as abundant in this area and is further from the lake so these sites seem to fill up last but still a good area. Area B is heavily wooded and can be difficult to get a site: reserve early for those sites.  Nice campground and one of the nicest camp stores I've seen at a State park.  Camp store also offered scooped hard ice cream.  Various boats and bikes available for rent.  The kids really liked the BMX bike course. A good place for biking. There is a game room at camp store. The beach looked clean and nice but some of the lake water looked green so we did not swim here. The shower house was close to the campsite and had an abundance of clean showers. They appeared to have recently had some minor renovations. There was also a toilet room close by that was older but clean and quite adequate. The campground was a little rowdier than we are used to but was patrolled often. We will add this campground to our regular rotation. We camped at Indian Lake State Park in a Tent Trailer.

Nice CG on the shores of Indian Lake. We paid a couple of $ extra for water front site. Typical of other Ohio State CG's. Most sites do not have full hook ups, just electric. Has a nice large campstore. We camped at Indian Lake State Park in a Motorhome.

Nice park, pretty, lots of space, easy access to sites, but facilities old, run down and buggy. Most sites were sloping requiring lots of adjustments. Friendly staff. I would go back with a boat. Signage to get there almost non existent. We camped at Indian Lake State Park in a Motorhome.

Very nice setting, with wide sites, but the settling grounds made leveling a real challenge. I had to drop the tongue of the trailer onto the ground to get almost level, and this was a site that was better than others! During the time we were there it was quiet and pleasant. The location is convenient for access to this part of the state, once you get there- the directional signage is sparse. Overall, I would go back for a day or two, especially if I had my canoe. Older campground on a lake. Paved sites are not all long enough for larger motorhomes, and the paved area is narrow, but sites are mostly huge. There are several small nasty, wet bathrooms, and 2 shower houses, which were a bit cleaner, but I would not want to use them. They need updating. This is a beautiful park, lots of trees and activities for kids. We camped at Indian Lake State Park in a Motorhome.

We stayed in a full hookup site on a small canal off the lake. This is a mid-60's type campground and many of the sites limit the size of the unit. There are plenty of large rig sites here, just be sure to explain your needs when making a reservation. Nicely treed campground located on a pretty lake. Close to the Jackson Center, OH home of Airstream trailers. Great place to stay if you are in the area to pick up a RV from RV Wholesalers which is located a few miles away. They will come to the campground if you have any problems with your unit to do a service call. We would stay again if we were in the area. We camped at Indian Lake State Park in a Travel Trailer.

We stayed on a full hook up site in section D and there are 12 available. Everything else is electric only. The park was clean and well kept. The front office gate and camp store were both closed while we were here because of shortened fall hours, although several camper hosts were seen throughout the park. Check the schedule if you think you may need supplies and are not towing a car. We were able to get some local television stations with clear reception. There is an ice cream shop across the street from the park. There are plenty of places to ride your bike within the park, but the lake bike path is about 2 miles from the park and can only be accessed via busy country roads. We would return to this campground! We camped at Indian Lake State Park in a Motorhome.
