Overall Rating:

This campground has a very nice view of the surrounding area and is situated on a hill. I am glad for my experience pulling a 5th wheel while navigating the roads in the park with the trailer in tow. When it came to leveling side to side, I had to put to boards under the drivers side and then an additional orange leveling block under each tire. Other than that, the site was very nice with the picnic table on an area of crushed rocks with a railroad tie boundary. The hookups were fine. There was the dog park area which my German Shepherd enjoyed. The pool was enjoyed by many on the hot 90 plus days I was here, but not overly crowded. They have a nice playground next to the pool, and a well stock camp store with pizza and ice cream. It is a family friendly camp with things for kids to do. Next summer to a different part of the country but if I find myself in Southern Ohio I would come back again. The staff was very friendly and helpful and made you feel like they were glad you were here. One drawback is the narrow access road which would not be good for two trailers to pass at the same time, and the road is a very steep incline. Pay attention to arrival and departure times and you'll have no problem. The access road in not under the campground's ability to change as it is controlled by the township. Don't let that stop you from visiting this very nice campground. It was nice to have Christmas in July during the 3 above 90 degree days I was here. The camp decorated several areas very nicely. We camped at Logan / Hocking Hills KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

Date of Stay: April, 2016 - $61.00
Overall Rating:

This was our first time to the area. We really love to camp at KOA. We stayed the second weekend in April 2016. When we arrived there was a very bumpy hill to pull a camper up to get to the campground. Amazed how the people with heavier, larger campers make it up. We have 3 kids, so they placed us next to the playground. Which felt like it was more of a turn around or walkway than a site like the rest of the campground. The brick patio for the not premium sites are broken up bricks, and our fire pit was an old rim for a vehicle. If you spend the extra money for the premium site it is worth it there. They had swings, nice tables and a nice fire pit and no broken bricks. The second night we were surrounded by campers, and there were tons of other open sites in the campground where no one should feel cramped. And where the site was there were kids constantly running through our site to get to the playground. Getting the vehicle in and out of our "parking place" was a nightmare. When we returned from hiking the last night my daughters went to take a shower and came running back grossed out because someone had pooped on the floor. Which it remained there even when we were leaving Monday. Other than that it was a very clean bathroom. Grounds were clean. We had planned to go back the beginning of next month, May, and try with a different site, but apparently everyone who camped that weekend has been banned because of the poop on the bathroom floor. Oh sorry, the vandalism. We will gladly spend our money elsewhere in the area as we love it there. We camped at Logan / Hocking Hills KOA in a Travel Trailer.

Overpriced for location and few amenities. Our site was large but was downhill and water drained through and kept it wet. The campground was virtually empty, very clean, had fine full hookups, had good WiFi, limited cable, wood on sale, very quiet, no real scenery. Not much to do at the campground. We have stayed at other Ohio KOAs and campgrounds with restaurant, mini golf, Scenery, full cable, and more amenities for more than $20 less. This KOA was overpriced and we don't plan on coming back to this area. We camped at Logan / Hocking Hills KOA in a Motorhome.

Roomy sites, however first one we were assigned to was not satisfactory due to size and level. Staff cooperative in letting us choose another. It was roomy but still not level. Good cable and wifi but had to keep signing on each time you opened a browser. No ATT&T cell service. Park is hilly and scenic. All sites and roads are gravel. Road entering park a mess but that is not KOA problem but local government. Was not croweded when we were here so nice and quiet. Pricey as is typical for KOA. We camped at Logan / Hocking Hills KOA in a Travel Trailer.

Very steep access road off of 664. The roadway is very scarred from folk's dragging. Very tight turns and some very rolling roadway inside the park. If you have a long trailer you may have problems dragging. We camped at Logan / Hocking Hills KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

Stay wasn't bad, they need to fix the entrance road. Close to old mans cave which is nice but if you're on a budget I'd look elsewhere. If you're into biking this is not the place for you. We camped at Logan / Hocking Hills KOA in a Travel Trailer.

We decided to splurge and rent the premium site. While this is not something I would do again due to cost, we truly enjoyed the site. The swing was a favorite and received lots of use. Also having patio furniture was a treat so that we did not have to get our lawn chairs out. The Weber gas grill was super clean. The campground is beautiful. Staff is very friendly and helpful. I even saw the staff stop to help a fellow camper with his sewer hose. Don't be worried about that bumpy steep incline going into the campground. Once at the top is there is plenty of room to maneuver around. We have a 42' Class A and got in and out with no problems. Close to Hocking Hills and several antique/flea markets. Due to the hills this is not a campground for older people to bicycle around. We would go back. We camped at Logan / Hocking Hills KOA in a Motorhome.

Award winner for good reason! Excellent amenities & activities -- s'mores one night, ice cream sundaes the next. Karaoke at the pool one night and a movie the next. Great campground store. Super friendly and helpful staff. Beautiful and quiet campsites and well appointed cabins. Our second time here and we will certainly return! We camped at Logan / Hocking Hills KOA in a Motorhome.

Nice campground. Stayed here during Halloween season and lots of campers decorated for the holiday: lots of fun walking around and looking at the other sites. Very close to state parks and hiking. Will never understand who decided it would be a good place to put a campground in that location, however, they have done a very nice job of leveling out the sites. It was dark when we pulled in and set up and was very surprised how hilly the campground was once morning broke. Lots of activities for the kids. I would recommend this campground to others. We camped at Logan / Hocking Hills KOA in a Travel Trailer.

Pads are VERY NARROW. Pads consist of rocks, gravel, tree roots, and poison ivy with NO grass. Campground offers very little, and only has one bath house facility (long walk from our site #72). Porta Johns are available if your into that. Pool is very small, no pavement and very difficult for the little ones to ride bikes due to the steep gravel roads/goat paths. Extremely disappointing and we left early vowing never to return. We were told not to bring fire wood yet several other campers did. You can buy match stick fire wood at a premium price and it last only for a short while (don't blink). We camped at Logan / Hocking Hills KOA in a Motorhome.

Staff was helpful, friendly and visible. Many activities: breakfast cereal buffet, crafts, Gem mine, movie night. Sites were a bit unlevel but the gravel pad to park camper was slightly level; sites were not tight as another review suggested. Full hook-up sites have "patio" which has large gravel so carpet is a necessity. Park was very clean, w/variety of sites: full-hook up, deluxe hook-up, cabins, lodges, tent/pop-up sites. Pool was nice, bathrooms clean, and the showers hot. We camped at Logan / Hocking Hills KOA in a Travel Trailer.

This KOA is the real deal! Family oriented atmosphere with required wristbands to limit unauthorized visitors, no alcohol, and Sunday morning church service. Camp sites are on large lots. My rating would be a 10 but the sites are hard to get level. Plenty of planned activities. Owners are friendly and seen often. Strong and consistent Wi-Fi signal. Our nightly rate included full hook-ups. Plenty to do in the area if you like hiking. We plan on returning soon. We camped at Logan / Hocking Hills KOA in a Fifth Wheel.
