Very basic shower room, but convenient to the temporary spots on the top of the bluff. We camped at Ashland RV Park in a Motorhome.

This park is small and located by the river. They have mostly grass sites for travelers. The owners have taken care of this park. We have used this park when we travel to stay one night. We camped at Ashland RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

We loved staying here. It is quiet, serene and very laid back. There are a lot of seasonal campers who occupy the sites nearest the river and it tends to be busier on the weekends but they are all well cared for and a quiet group. There is only one bathroom for men and another bathroom for women (one small, clean room). There is one shower room and if the shower were sprayed daily with a bleach solution from the floor up 3 feet, it would eliminate the mold. Also there is only one hook so a few more would be very helpful. There is a chair to put your bag on. Also, I really appreciated the rubber matting that allows the water to fall thru. We did not have a reservation but called when we got into town and they were very helpful and pleasant to deal with. The site was spacious but only because we didn't have close neighbors otherwise, it would have felt cramped. No sewer for transient campers but there is a dump station. We camped at Ashland RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

H. E. Farm Market was a real find. Amish meats & cheeses, jams, mustards, pickles, fresh veggies and baked goods. Went there 3 times!!! We like rail trails but beware of the North Bend Rail Trail that starts in Parkersburg. It is two dirt lanes (usually about 5-6") sometimes within 4-6" of grass. AND THERE IS POISON IVY ALL AROUND. Also make sure you park and turn left to begin the trail, turning right dead ends into thickets.

Easy access to downtown historic Marietta. A quaint riverboat town with lots of history. Plenty of good places to shop and eat. Rent bikes in town or rent Kayaks and paddle the waterways. Plenty to do. This campground offers the peace you need after a busy day!

Quite a few seasonal RVs on site, all on lower tier, closer to the river. We had a nice flat grass 50amp full hookup. Owner very nice and prompt on getting us to our site. We stayed for two nights exploring the area. We camped at Ashland RV Park in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Visit the Basilica and Mound Cemetery, which has more Revolutionary officers graves than any other in the county. Be sure to take in "The Castle" an 1855 era home to several prominent families in Marietta's past.

Very sweet owner and a beautiful view of the river! We stayed in the pull thru area in a grassy field. Lot was very sloped and was grass with no pad, no cable, or WiFi. One restroom/shower for males, one for females, but clean and very adequate. Nice shelter house available. Fire ring available to rent, wood for sale. Owner lives on property and invited us to sit on her deck to enjoy the river view. Very convenient to Washington County Geneology Library. Dog friendly. We camped at Ashland RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

There are 2 tiers to this park. Due to the recent rain we chose to stay on the top where it was firm ground even though we had no sewer. Long level grassy sites with good 50 amps. Very nice personnel. Quiet and a good value. We camped at Ashland RV Park in a Motorhome.

The sites are very large but may take a lot to level your rig. Owner was very friendly and laid-back. Only one washer & dryer, but only a buck to use. TV reception weak, but most sites very open for satellites. I liked this RV Park. Nothing fancy and would stay here again. We camped at Ashland RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Sites are large and grass. Beautiful RV park that is very close to town and out in the country at the same time. Quiet and peaceful at night. Park has river front with docks for boaters and jet skis. Very well maintained. Large washer and dryer, priced at $1 each. Owners are friendly and attentive to campers' needs. Parkersburg is just across the river and, with Marietta, provide plenty of shopping, weekend festivals and activities, as well as health care services. We are snowbirds who spend the spring to fall season here in a motorhome. We camped at Ashland RV Park in a Motorhome.

This park is OK. It could be excellent if the owners would be willing to put some time and money into it. The interior roads really need to be graveled and pot holes fixed. The sites are not paved or graveled and can be difficult to get out of after a hard rain. The full hook-up sites are very large which is a good thing. All of the river side sites are seasonal people. It is quiet and nothing is ever bothered. The owners are friendly people. It is convenient to everything in Marietta being only 2 miles from town. I hope to see improvements in the future or else the campground won't be worth going to. We camped at Ashland RV Park in a Motorhome.

Overall Rating:

This campground is a hidden gem, doesn't show up on Google Searches (plan to register them on Google Maps tonight though). The sites are surprisingly level on the river front, the back 33 may not be by looking. These are all grass sites, no gravel or cement. They have a lot of full timers and construction workers in this park. Small time campground right next to a strawberry picking patch, about 3 minutes into Marietta which has everything you can need. Tons of shade trees on the river front sites (Muskingum River) with stairs down on some river front sites to the river directly, they are also in the process of putting up a dock to be finished next week. The owners/operators have a park model on site and stayed here on site while we where here at least one night. Some of the friendliest folks we have met so far on our travels. Shower was spotless (they have only one) and both the men's and women's restroom are clean as well. Small laundry room $1 to run a machine has been the most well maintained spots we have seen. There is a playground on site as well for children. Hook ups are well constructed and again like the rest of the park, top notch. This is a great little spot to setup for a few days for visiting family like we were as well as historic Marietta. Holding back a 10 as the rail road runs about 1/2 a mile north of the park sites, which at 2 am will be a bit noisy. (Although I didn't wake but for a moment.) Hardly a reason to complain considering the great river front location and the character and dedication to the park the owners have. Will use this spot anytime we are back in this area. We camped at Ashland RV Park in a Travel Trailer.
