Good location for visiting Cleveland sites and Cuyahoga Valley National Park. This place is rustic, no facilities at all. The sites are very haphazard and somewhat hard to figure out. The sewer hose receptacles were open and overgrown with grass. Spots were wide, level and grassy. Electric and water worked well but extensions were needed for everything. It was easy for us to pull in and pull out in our 45' motorhome. IMPORTANT: Read previous reviews for important info on locating the RV sites. They were very helpful for us. Also, sometimes you may see a chain on the gate that appears to be locked but it is not locked. It isn't, they just put it there to deter outsiders. The staff at the Fair Board office where you check in was very nice but the office was hard to find. We camped at Cuyahoga County Fairgrounds in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Towpath Trail in Cuyahoga Valley National Park, you can walk or ride your bicycle on it for many miles and take a historic steam train back to where you parked. Visit Szaley's Farm Market in Penninsula for great produce and bakery items. Loved the West Side Market and Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.

Would not consider this a campground, as it is really just parking area with either fhu or e/w. Be aware if you don't take a spot with fhu, there is no dump. The only problem we had was that the ground was soft, especially after a night of rain and our motorhome sank in a bit. You do have to move your RV every couple of days to avoid that from happening or have good blocks. There are spots with shade or sunny spots. We go for the sunny spots to get satellite. There are no picnic tables or firepits, but you can put out your own little table with your grill. No one is there to check you in or out. You just pick your spot and pay when the office is open. We felt safe there. There are several entrances so it may be difficult to find the RV area. Look for the entrance on Bagley Road but it is not marked well. It is right near a hospital. We would go back. We camped at Cuyahoga County Fairgrounds in a Motorhome.

No frills overnight spot about 5 miles off I-80. First come, first served. Clean park with all grass back-ins with no demarcations between sites. FHU sites are not level front to back, water/electric sites appear to be. After turning into fairground property off Bagley, take second turn to right through open gate in chain link fence; RV area straight through second open gate. Single gravel road down center. Spaces on right are water/electric; ones on left are FHU. Make sure you have extensions for hoses as water and sewer are at back of sites with electric. Office only open till 3 M-F. To pay, walk through open gate on left side, about 1/2 way down fence. Go to right around buildings and then left down paved driveway about 1000 feet to Fairground Office. Metal drop box on side of building next to office door. Rated it a 6 instead of 7 only because no restrooms, except during fairground events. Utilities worked well. We would stay overnight again. We camped at Cuyahoga County Fairgrounds in a Fifth Wheel.

Overall Rating:

This is about the closest place to stay to Cleveland. Very convenient.

The sites are overgrown grass. There is power (50 amp) behind each site on the fence. There are water and sewer but unless you have some long hoses you have to move to reach all three hookups at the same time. We had a full tank of water and didn't bother with sewer. For three days, not a problem for us.

If you want a place to stay that is close to Cleveland and don't care about amenities, then this place will work just fine.

We felt safe, received satellite reception, lots of OTA tv stations and it was quiet. We could not get the wifi to connect.

The office is open only MWF 10-3, so we just left a check under the door of the office. We camped at Cuyahoga County Fairgrounds in a Motorhome.

Easy access off of I-71 exit 235, go west on Bagley 1 mile. On the left side you will pass a Hospital and a Bank, then you will see the fairgrounds entrance road with a white fence running along both sides of it. Turn left there and then take the second right, it goes thru a gate in the fence just before the white fairgrounds buildings and the RV sites are straight ahead. Nothing fancy here, all hard packed somewhat level grass back ins. The sites on the left side are full hookup sites. The sites on the right are mostly electric only. One thing I noticed was there are no 30 amp outlets. The 6 electric posts I checked, all had two 50 amp outlets and a couple of 20 amp outlets. You will need an 50 to 30 adapter for 30 amp service. WiFi is available, but costly starting at $1.99 for two hours. Verizon cell and broadband were both excellent. There is a cell tower on site as well as a windmill. They have a weekly rate of $150. We camped at Cuyahoga County Fairgrounds in a Motorhome.

I would not recommend this park. We called ahead to make sure we could get in and the representative said yes. We said we would be pulling in late and they said no problem just pick a site and settle up the next day. When we got there we could not get in as the fairground folks had placed a portable ticket booth in the middle of the driveway entrance. Fortunately we caught the lady from the office as she was leaving and she was able to find a key and open a different gate to let us in. if we had been a minute later we would have been up the creek so to speak. After hooking up our power protection device kept tripping us off line indicating a fault on one of the lines. Checked it with a voltmeter and t looked OK but apparently they have a problem with fluctuating line voltage that was tripping us off. Found the maintenance man and he also checked it and said it must be a problem with our equipment. We left the next day and went to another park and have had no further issues so it is apparent they have electrical supply issues. In addition to the power supply problem, they had mowed the lawn recently and did not bother to collect the clippings and it was quite a mess with grass sticking to everything outside including shoes. At $30/day it wasn't much of a park. We moved further down the road about an hour and paid just a few dollars more for a great park. Even if you have to be in the Cleveland OH area it is worth the hour drive to the other park we ended up staying at. We camped at Cuyahoga County Fairgrounds in a Fifth Wheel.

Finding a full-hookup site in the Cleveland area is not easy. When a major event is not taking place at the fairgrounds it provides a nice solution. The unadvertised campground is at the front of the park and requires some knowledge of how to get there. It is best to call the fairgrounds office in advance to arrange a stay although they do not take reservations. We were the only rig in the campground for the three nights that we were there. The grass was a bit long and damp due to some heavy rains, but the site was reasonably level (we had our choice of any one that we wanted) and the hookups worked. There are no amenities including no restrooms or showers, and no WiFi. The location in Berea is convenient to the southwest Cleveland suburbs and the downtown area and is close to I-71. It is the only decent option in the area. We camped at Cuyahoga County Fairgrounds in a Motorhome.

This County Fairground is 4 miles south of the Cleveland airport. It's a perfect place to explore Cleveland from. It really should be listed under Cleveland rather than Berea. We were very happy here. It is quite, safe, clean, and the staff is friendly. You will be parking on asphalt and you get your choice of any open spot. Don't look for trees or any of the amenities associated with an RV Park. We camped at Cuyahoga County Fairgrounds in a Motorhome.

Not a campground per se but a good place close to Cleveland. Sites (full hookup) are for carnival/fairground people but the Fairground people will allow others to use sites when nothing is going on. We found it to be very safe and convenient to Cleveland interests. We would stay there again We camped at Cuyahoga County Fairgrounds in a Motorhome.
