Sep 2018 - $40.00
While the older sections of this park appear to be populated by very long-term permanent residents, ancient rigs and the usual accumulation of junk, the new section is pristine. Yes, there are already some permanent campers there, but they are neat and clean. Asphalt roads throughout, concrete pads and patios, beautiful new landscaping and spotless restrooms. It was amazingly quiet and peaceful, with great views of the lake. - rfmscat
Jun 2018 - $44.00
Nice size lots. Was in the new area H. Full hookup! Staff friendly and helpful! Camped at Atwood on Memorial Day as well as two days in the middle of June and this last weekend at a rally. All good times. Last time it rained all weekend off and on but still had fun. - Jane Michel
Aug 2016 - $32.00
Atwood is an older park and the sites were perpendicular to the road. This makes it hard to maneuver with a 35'. Our group was in section B on sites 308-311. All sites were shady. Water is available on site 310. The roads are very narrow. We saw the Rangers frequently during the day.
The sites across from us had more than 10 cars on six sites. This made for a roudy group and there were no rangers in site at night. The noise went on until 1:30 am. Very discouraging! Hopefully this was a fluke and not the norm. - Tammy7
Jul 2017 - $48.00
Older park, mostly uphill, not easy to park, problematic during rains. Deluxe patio site next to sewer field!! Pool not close to campground but clean. Restrooms next to pool terrible. Restrooms and washer/dryer next to office dated. - Roadkraut
Jul 2016 - $83.00
I guess when you are the only game in town, you can soak folks. On top of the pricey rate they charge extra for kids. $93.00 a night in the sticks is criminal. And for that you can tote your own rubbish, as they don't pick it up. They don't escort you to your site and the "store" is the most dismal excuse for a camp store. It's even dusty.
On the plus side they have good directional signage off I-77.
We had a lovely site. But as the case, a little too close. These patio sites are nice, but have a grand view of A HUGE regional landfill. The buzzards circled several times. There had to be 50 to 100 buzzards in the air.
Then there is the air. Don't know if it's there septic system or the landfill. It stunk so bad we could not enjoy the outside facilities.
The design separates seasonal and over night guest. It a pretty good design. The mini golf looks (we did not play) among the best.
A nice KOA. But the Keep on Adding on, kills the deal. - wdw
May 2016 - $75.00
Stayed over a popular weekend, as we traveled across the country. We were told only a premium site was available when we called ahead to make reservations. A "premium" site was a narrow pull through site with roadway on both sides of us. When we pulled out our awning, it was into the roadway at the front of the motorhome so we ended up not using the awning. Restroom had a severe sewer odor the entire weekend, even after office staff was advised. The "pond" is really a water runoff collection site with unusable equipment sitting at the edge. No phone reception or internet access even though we were among the closest sites to the office. To add insult, there was a premium charge for having 2 children with us. This is not a place I would stay at again. We travel for months at a time and have done so for years. This review is not because I am overly picky! - Ms Winnie
Aug 2016 - $39.00
There is no selection for my camper. It is an A-liner popup.
This park is very uphill. This means a fantastic view of the lake and surrounding hills. The flip side of this is a lot of exercise, some strenuous if you don't have some kind of transportation outside of your TV. There are of course gulf carts available for a fee.
If you don't want to cook you can go to the concession stand. Decent food reasonable prices. Loud music to go with that. Friendly staff too.
You may have noticed the comments about the tight turns. They are true, the camp provides assistance. We were guided by one of the staff who said he was one of the owners and he was very helpful.
One thing don't forget;
Silly me forgot to mention to the check in girl that we were G.S. card holders which would have reduced the cost of the campsite cost 10% This was the only thing that I would wish they might instruct their staff to ask as a small courtesy. - NanCas
Aug 2016 - $38.00
This is a well run park with many activities available. The main downfall for larger units are the narrow roads and steep hills. Much of this park is built on the side of a hill and the narrow roads and tight turns make for a harrowing experience. Once at our site we had a lovely, large and paved pull-thru with a beautiful view. We were in a 39ft motorhome and towing. We had just inches to spare on the turns and we would not recommend any thing larger. In fact, we would not try it again. Our other complaint was the wi-fi, which is offered through an outside vendor for a fee. We were never able to get connected and finally received our money back. For those with smaller units, this is a very nice park. Because of the turns and steep hills, we would not stay here again. - atwig
Jul 2016 - $40.00
BAD experience. We entered the park and our first thought was beautiful place. We went to register and that's when the good thoughts stopped. They informed us we would have to unload our car before going up to our "PULL-THRU" spot because we couldn't fit it around the corners even though our RV was only 34 feet long towing a mini cooper on a dolly. Something that might have been mentioned when we booked our site. They didn't have a spot to pull over and unhook the car so there we were doing it in the main thoroughfare while other cars were trying to come in. Then they escorted us up to our "PULL-THRU" and made us pull up to the far side so that a tent camper could use the back portion of the site the next day. Now the hose wouldn't reach the hook-up. We let their management know this and said that the spigot was to be shared with the tent they sent someone up with an extension hose so it could reach the back of our RV. As he hands it to us, he tells us we should probably be storing water in our tanks because often on the weekends when they have a lot of people, they run out of water (LOVELY). We looked on the internet at reviews of this place and sure enough people had complained about them running out of water. Can you imagine? We then turned on our water and the pressure was almost nonexistent. We took our dogs for a short walk and there was hardly anywhere we could walk them. Not a dog friendly place at all. We started adding up the negatives about this place and decided to leave early especially because a Volley Ball tournament was scheduled on Saturday, our departure date, and the manager said we would be hard pressed to find a spot to hook the car up again because of the traffic jams foreseen. We told them about the problems and they just shrugged their shoulders and said: "Sorry." Totally not concerned we were unhappy in the slightest and wouldn't give us our money back. - HurricanTraveler
Oct 2018 - $45.00
We stayed in cabin 3 for a weekend. We arrived late in the evening due to work. I knew when I reserved the place that it was probably going to be bare bones since it was so cheap but I never expected it to be disgusting. The ceiling was blue styrofoam board with clear duct tape! The walls were pieces together with really thin brown board. The window was covered with foil. We tried to turn on ac and it put out horrible odors. We went to take showers and they are the kind that you have to pull on and it lasts for a few seconds then you have to do it again. There was no way to adjust the water temperature so after pulling on the cord numerous times to finish our showers the water was scalding hot. I spoke with the owner on Monday because their office was closed during the hours we were there due to having to leave for work at 6 am and not getting back until around 11 pm. She said I should have said something sooner and I told her I couldn't because they were closed and I called their number but they never answered. She said then that I should have went and told her although I had no clue where they live! Our clothes all smell horrible because of the cabin odor. We would have stayed elsewhere but everything was booked due to the fall festival that we were working at. - Carrieanne
Sep 2016 - $29.00
This RV park is a bit hard to find for someone not from the area. It is remote and very quiet. Has a large pool. Has a number of permanents who use their spot for weekend get-aways. It is a pretty park and quiet while we were there. Level sites. Helpful and friendly staff. - W Davidson
Jun 2011 - $21.00
This Campground was formerly known as Campers Paradise which is when I stayed here. New owners have made improvements which include adding a pool. Very friendly seasonals. - Lakewood Camper
Sep 2017 - $40.00
Stayed here in a 40' MH - site was really long and easily held the MH and tow car. Thankfully we there after the water park closed for the season, otherwise we would have been somewhere else. - denvercats
Aug 2017 - $35.00
This is a large water park. The number of things for children to do is amazing. I looked at the park calendar to find a time when the water park was closed because of school yet the campground was open. The gravel site was level. Local OTA channels were poor. Water and electric was good. Picnic table and fire pit. There are easily accessible two dump stations. Several pipeline workers staying temporarily. FHU sites are placed right next to busy road. W&E area very quiet when water park closed. Very nice walking path in the woods. Gravel interior roads easy to navigate. Park staff (owner?) lives onsite and were very pleasant and helpful. I would stay here again if the water park was closed as I do not travel with children. - SunStar203
Sep 2016 - $40.00
We picked up our new 5th wheel nearby and they gave us a huge pull through site so that we had room for our rig, truck and U-Haul. We stayed for 3 days. Sites on the hill (50 and up) are best for big rigs, but all sites are nice, graveled, level with large area of grass in between. The water park and campground close the last week of August which was perfect for us. We rode our bikes all over the farm, ran our dogs and enjoyed the company of only a few other rigs. All buildings and grounds were clean and well kept. It is on the edge of the Amish country so be careful to share the road with the carriages and people walking. - Traveler Anne
Aug 2018 - $40.00
This is an older park, nice wide spaces on gravel. Staff nice and helpful. There are a lot of full time residents that live here. Very convenient off the interstate and still close enough for sort road trips. This is a great place to stop for a night or two. The only draw back is there is no WiFi. I was able to go to their office and use the hot spot. We went for a day trip to Port Clinton and Marble Head. Beautiful coastal towns on Lake Erie, within 20 miles - Tom-Sandy
Aug 2018 - $38.00
Convenient overnight stop near turnpike. - Sunnie-Wheelhouse
Jul 2018 - $39.00
This was a great place to stay! We stayed here for my Son's baseball tournament at Sports Force Park in Sandusky, Ohio. It was within 15 minutes to the ball complex and maybe 20 minutes driving time max to Cedar Point. Was a great alternative to staying at some of the hotels instead. I would definitely return here and use this as place to stay for further tournaments or Cedar Point fun. The pool was clean and warm, full hookup was very convenient and staff was helpful and polite. Just want to again say how convenient it was to stay here vs the team hotel for Sports Force Parks and Cedar Point! Swimming after a nice hot day at the ball fields was great. - Kristin409
Apr 2018 - $29.00
Nothing special about this CG. Several construction workers stayed on site, but they really didn't other campers. The RR were clean, however, the construction workers left their shower equipment in the stalls. Road noise during the day, but quiet after dark. We visited the entire county, so CG was centrally located. Shady site, but weather was not a factor. - Dennis D
Aug 2017 - $29.00
I have camped here several times over ten or so years. The owners are wonderful, but the overall "feel" of the campground has changed for the worse. The grass in many areas has not been mowed and you can really tell it around some of the many long-term campers. Lots of trucks parked in areas by construction workers make navigating the already tight roads difficult. I am sorry to see this change, but this will probably be my last visit to this campground. - BuckeyeTravels
Jun 2017 - $29.00
As others have said owners are very nice and campground is clean. If you have a smaller rig this place will work for you. If your RV is more than about 27 feet, I do not recommend it. There are a couple longer sites but those were always filled. Even with a 27 ft RV, most sited have no place for your tow vehicle to park. The down sides here are the small sites that are close to each other. Almost no real place to even sit outside in a chair. There are many long term folks here that use the open "gray water" drains. Judging by the odor and closeness of the drains, I surmise they are draining more than gray water. Yes, there is free fire wood and raised fire rings but they are so close to other campers it would be a risk and very inconsiderate to have a fire as smoke would be all over your neighbor and probably you too. The driveway in and out is steep and only wide enough for one vehicle to go thru at a time. If someone is coming out you will have to back out onto a busy state route to let them out. Also, seasonal campers are allowed to park their tow vehicles face in towards their RV in the main drive where the dump station, again, creating a one lane situation. If someone is dumping, no one can go in or out because of this. It didn't rain during our stay but if it did, part of your site will be muddy. I would stay elsewhere next time we are in the area. - Wyoming Wanderers
Sep 2018 - $45.00
Very helpful and friendly! Clean and beautiful. - TraeUrban
Aug 2018 - $51.00
Large pull thru, big enough for my MH and toad. Grassy area along side. Roads and sites were paved. Sites were mostly level with small inclines in park. The WIFI doesn't always work. With more campers arriving as the weekend approaches, the more the WIFI doesn't work. - 3Ds
Jun 2018 - $54.00
Spent 4 nights with in-laws ...both of us have fifth wheels. Decided to add the fourth night a few weeks before arrival and resort was very accommodating. Super indoor pool, game room, huge laundry, b-ball court, two huge pavilions, shuffleboard...list goes on. Everything was immaculate, gardens were well kept and in full bloom. All the roads and sites were newer asphalt full hook ups...everything worked. Definitely a place we would return to...one of the best RV parks we've stayed in. - Jitime40

Oct 2018 - $36.00
Park was very full and had to settle for a back-in site which was very adequate. Nice and helpful young woman at check-in. Our "faithful" GPS took us on a wonderful, if a bit convoluted, route to get there through the Amish countryside. The only complaint about the park was the not so great (to put it mildly) water. Unfortunately, we took on a full tank of it and suffered through drinking it for the next few days (even using it for tea didn't cover up the taste). Maybe it's just a matter of us being used to a different type of water at home (in Colorado). That said, it was a great experience and we'd gladly stay here again. - LatLongJohn
Jun 2018 - $38.00
This is a great, up & coming cg. Very clean and well maintained. While very basic right now, the new owner is seeing his second season and has plans to plant trees, install a pool, and other amenities. This cg is located in the heart of Amish country so you need to be very careful on the road for buggies, bikes, and farm equipment. The ladies that checked us in were baking cookies and graciously gave us 2. That set this visit off on the right foot!! One M&M and the other peanut butter. Yum! Great walking around the cg and out to the main road which is about a half mile down a gravel road. Would definitely stay again. - FT Travelers3
Jul 2017 - $39.00
