A nice state park just north of Zanesville. Pleasant workers and nice campstore. 50 amp electric no water or sewer at sites. (would have rated higher if W/S) campground laid out in 3 sections. Some sites uneven and small. Pads a little narrow but paved. Beautiful mature trees. Lake looked nice. Nice beach with splash pool nearby for little ones. We camped at Dillon State Park in a Motorhome.

We stayed at Dillon State Park to visit friends in the area. It has Passport America rates for non-prime days of the week (I think Monday-Thursday) - so our rate reflects one night with just a senior discount ($27) and 3 nights with PA ($15.67). There were no very convenient locations to fill with fresh water without blocking the roadway. The water at the dump station indicated that it was not potable. Good areas for walking around the campground. There are photos on the reservation system which help with knowing the configuration of the site (trees, levelness) - but many of the trees have been removed since the pictures were taken due to elm disease. We camped at Dillon State Park in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Things to visit: Y bridge in Zanesville, John and Annie Glenn home in New Concord (S bridge is nearby). Check days of opening for Glenn home and National Road museum - they were closed Monday and Tuesday so we were not able to visit the National Road museum.

Dillon State park is one of the nicer kept up parks within the Ohio State Parks system. The campground is 5 to 10 minutes from Zanesville making shopping an easy chore. There are two convenient stores about 2 miles from the main campground entrance and a small restaurant about 1 mile from the campground. The terrain is gently hilly within and outside the campround, with lots of hiking, biking and bridle trails. A very large beach, along with lighted tennis courts can be found about 1 mile from the campground entrance. The campground store is large and sells ice cream which was nice during the hot weather. On Saturday nights a movie is played outside near the campground office. Most of the employees at the camp office were very friendly. Park rangers patrol the campground quite regularly. An 18 hole disc course is kept up. Lots of black raspberries and blackberries can be picked just about everywhere. Lightning bugs galore and the smell of honeysuckle permeate the air. Walk-in sites around site 106 get a very strong Verizon 4g lte signal - 4 to 5 bars. We camped at Dillon State Park in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Lake offers kayak and canoe rentals. Occasional weekend campground events. Mtn biking trails are rated from easy to hard. Zanesville has everything you need for your restaurant and shopping needs and is only 5 to 10mins from the campground. The roads into the campground from 146 are somewhat hilly especially the first one from hwy 146. Passport America discount from Sun to Wed night which is $13/night.

We stayed at Dillon State Park for a weekend family gathering. Campground roads are paved. Site pads are paved, 10 feet wide. Sites are widely spaced with plenty of room for slides and awnings. Sites have electric hookups only (30/50). There are water spigots available throughout the campground for filling water tanks on arrival. There are two dump stations located near the campground entrance/exit. Some sites are shaded, others in full sun. There is no cable connection. A few TV channels can be picked up OTA. There is no WiFi throughout the campground, but there is a hotspot at the camp store. Restrooms and showers were older but reasonably clean. There were a number of pesky yellow jackets in our campsites during the weekend, and a couple of our campers were stung. Otherwise, Dillon State Park is a very pleasant campground and we would visit again. We camped at Dillon State Park in a Travel Trailer.

This is a very nice park. Our site was paved and spaced far enough from the next site to give you privacy. It is well maintained, but lacks water and sewer hookups. Luckily we had filled our water tank before leaving on our trip! The person checking us in was not overly helpful. We had to ask for a map of the park so we could find our site. Overall though, we were pleased enough to stay here again on our return trip home. We camped at Dillon State Park in a Motorhome.

Lovely state park! The campsites are well spaced and the one we had was long enough for our rig and toad. It was also pretty level. We stayed in site 37 and had a wooded area behind us. We only stayed one night as we were passing through, but we will go back at some point for a longer stay. The park has lots of outdoor activities. We stayed mid-week and the campground was only about one fourth full. We were told that it was full the previous weekend which was a holiday weekend. We camped at Dillon State Park in a Motorhome.

Campsites were small and close together with sparse tree coverage. The campground itself was small consisting of just several loops, however was clean and quiet. The surroundings were picturesque with plenty of room to walk and explore. We never actually made it over to see the reservoir. There was no potable water at the dump station. We camped at Dillon State Park in a Travel Trailer.

This was our first visit to Dillon State Park. The spots were very nice with good space between sites. Most sites had trees for shade. The campground layout provided for privacy and a feeling that the park was never crowded. The grounds were very well maintained. We found this to be one of Ohio's nicer state parks and will definitely return again. We camped at Dillon State Park in a Motorhome.

We stopped here looking for an electrical hookup for the air conditioning in light of the hot temperatures. The camp store staff was very accommodating in finding a good site for us. During a weekday stopover, there were many sites open, so we were assigned one with a nice view and closeness to a water spigot. Electrical service was all that was available, no water, no sewer. While we only stopped overnight while heading west, our site would have been nice for a longer stay. We found this a good place for a stopover on our way west. We camped at Dillon State Park in a Motorhome.

Picked a site on the top tier overlooking the lake. Some sites longer that others and they have extended a few. The showers, as usual, are not maintained very well. Don't think they were cleaned during our 4 day visit. There is Wi-Fi at the very well stocked camp store. This is a good location for visiting the Longaberger Basket Factory and Homestead. We camped at Dillon State Park in a Travel Trailer.

This is one of my favorite State Parks. There is lots of hiking, biking and activities for the kids. The campsites are mostly shaded. The shower houses are somewhat clean, but you may find the shower heads questionable, some work well some don't. It has a really nice camp store and free wifi. We camped at Dillon State Park in a Travel Trailer.

Sites are large and many are well shaded with mature trees. Pets are allowed on two of the three loops. If you don't have levelers take plenty of blocks since many sites, although paved, follow the contour of the ground. Our single axle trailer required about 1 1/2" to 2" under the one tire. The shade trees do not permit a good growth of sod. Straw was scattered over the dirt. Showers were clean, had hooks and a small bench in the private dressing area. The store was adequately stocked with basic canned goods and all types of snacks. The only things we did not find were milk and the wax cupcake like fire starters. This was a destination park for us. We stayed 3 nights on site 31 and would go again. We camped at Dillon State Park in a Travel Trailer.

Since when does a state park sell ice cream and fudge? And have laundry facilities? Nice park! Great price for the money! I have been to state parks in other states that were more expensive and didn't have all this! The laundry facility is at the main station. It's a bit of a hike from any of the three loops! Most likely have to drive your toad to the laundry station. My comments on the bathroom and showers pertain to the B loop, can't speak for the A and C loop. All three loops have camp hosts. Good spacing between the sites. We camped at Dillon State Park in a Motorhome.

Very nice campground. Specific sites may be reserved, which is a nice feature. All paved roads. Large sites. Sites are situated at an angle from the roads which made backing in very easy. Water spigots are available in a few places in each area, so you need to be sure to reserve a site within reach of your water hose to refill your tank. If there were more water spigots, I would have given this park a 9 or 10. Camp store is very well stocked. If you like to bike or run, there are nicely paved trails. Will definitely return. We had visited Dillon last season and were anxious to return in our own TT. This was our maiden trip and selected this park because it looked so nice when we last visited it. It was very comfortable - the store is well stocked and sites are well designed and maintained. We had a site with lots of mud but otherwise, we enjoyed our first night out - we stayed for three nights. We had a campfire nightly with our neighbors and found the entire experience to be very comfortable. There were tenters, class B campers and huge motorhomes in the park - all were very comfortably cared for. If you are looking for a quiet escape from the world, this is the place to visit. There was quiet 24 hours of the day - it was wonderful. There were playgrounds for the children and paved roads for the walkers and bikers. We would return to this campground without hesitation. We camped at Dillon State Park in a Travel Trailer.
