Stayed here for a nearby event. As stated levelness of sites is all over with very few not needing compensation one way or another. As also stated sites are not well defined & are rather close. Almost rally style close. There are some obviously very long term people there making the CG look somewhat trashy with the clutter long term people seem to breed. Noticed quite a few beer cans in fire rings. Beer cans don't burn. Too bad park operators do not evict offending litterers. One dump that is not easy to access with a large rig but it is doable. Very pretty location in a town park that is well maintained. We camped at Pastime Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Thank you for your review - the sites are very close together. The campground was created 30 years ago, and we agree it's time to improve sites. Fall/Winter of 2018 we will be revamping the entire campground, creating spacious, gravelled and level sites. Sites will be well defined with plenty of room for slide outs and awnings. We hope you come back in 2019 to camp and enjoy the improvements!

$ 25 for grassy sites with water/electric, picnic table, fire pit, WiFi from some sites Pros Located just outside of Dublin/Columbus OH - city park Within walking distance of the heart of town Friendly staff, Community pool within walking distance ($8/day I think) Clean and nicely designed bathhouses - though not temperature controlled Cons Sites are right on top of each other and not clearly defined - which leads to a lot of "spill over" from other campers Since sites are grass they are wildly unleveled Centrally located dumping station - only one site with FHU Shade was hit or miss We camped at Pastime Park in a Motorhome.

Thanks for your review- both pros and cons- you are spot on with both! We are renovating the campground fall/winter of 2018, ready for Spring 2019 camping season. Sites will be gravel and spacious with upgraded amenities. We hope you return and camp with us again to enjoy all the improvements. Safe travels!

This is an open field in a very nice town park. The water park there was not open but looked very nice. Sites are close together and fire rings/ picnic tables seem to be placed kind of randomly. We camped at Pastime Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Beautiful, quiet park just outside Columbus. All sites are W/E except 1 with sewer. The earlier comment on reserved sites is accurate, when we returned from a day trip in the RV, a camper was in our spot. There is plenty of room, so I backed up to him and we shared the spot. I get the sense the locals view this as their CG and the rules are for the rest of us....still a great place to spend a weekend. We camped at Pastime Park in a Motorhome.

Thank you for your input. We are a 99% reservation only campground, with only sites 8-12 available for first come, first served. We do occasionally have folks pull in and take a site, but please feel free to contact the Parks & Rec Director and we can resolve any issues you might have. Maps and contact information are posted on the front door of the Park Office, the small white building. Hope to have you camp again at Pastime Park!

The campground was laid out in a confusing manner. The sites varied in size and were not well defined. Because of this, we continually had people walking through "our space". It felt like a grassy field with folks just camped all around wherever they wanted to. Rigs were faced in all directions at will and folks parked wherever they wanted to on the grass around their rig. Our site was supposed to have a 50 amp service but it kept tripping off. We were told that there was something wrong with our rig. We are full-time RVers and have not had this problem in other campgrounds before or after staying at Pastime. The tree cover made it difficult to get satellite TV. We camped at Pastime Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Open April 1-Oct. 31st. Located at the Plain City Fairgrounds. It is generally quiet, but I expect this can vary based on other programs planned during your stay (i.e. music in the park, Steam Threshers Festival, Rod Builders). The following activities are available: playground for children, disc golf course, basketball court, baseball field, short level hiking trail within park, city pool for an additional charge. Staff is helpful and friendly. We will definitely come here again if we are in the Columbus area. We camped at Pastime Park in a Motorhome.

Der Dutchman restaurant/bakery is a short drive away. The long walk back would be helpful afterward. Camping World is about 15 miles south of the park at I-70 and SR 42.

Only one spot has sewer. We reserved online, then called to clarify details. There had been an event the weekend before, but only a handful of campers there when we arrived, so we were able to pull through our spot without issue. It's pretty much a large park with hookups scattered throughout. The bathrooms were acceptable, on the cleaner side, but the shower was a bit scuzzy. I like the quiet setting, though no gate, and it's a public park so anyone can drive in and around. Jan and Tony's Pizza delivers here, and there's a nice little bowling alley just down state road 42, next to the Dutch Amish restaurant, Der Dutchman. Don't follow phone directions to Park Street, enter from N Chillicothe St. We camped at Pastime Park in a Motorhome.

This is a city park near Columbus. The park is large with baseball fields, a swimming pool, pavilions, walking trail, and playgrounds. The sites are not very well marked and they are on grass. We were there when it was dry so that was not a problem. But I would not want to park there in the rain. Some of the sites showed that campers got bogged down in wet weather. However, the park was beautiful and very well maintained. Lots of green grass and fabulous old trees. The nature trail is a lovely 1/2 mile walk. Very close to the small town. There is a small office but the attendant is mostly available by phone. She was very responsive to us when we called her on her cell phone - which is posted at the office. We camped at Pastime Park in a Motorhome.

Great little park in a neat little town. Close to Columbus and Dublin. The park needs to change their way of assigning spaces as some make reservations and when they get there someone else is already in that site. When someone makes a reservation on line the need to post a sign stating that that site is already reserved. The site we had reserved was very unlevel. We camped at Pastime Park in a Motorhome.

This city campground can get pretty busy on the weekends according to the locals we talked to so you'll want to get reservations. There is only one site with full-hookups - the VIP site. Other sites have water and electricity or just electricity. There is a dump site. Camp sites are a mix of gravel and grass; mostly level. There is a children's playground at the entrance to the park and a pool and water park close by. The town's ball fields are also located in this park complex. We camped at Pastime Park in a Motorhome.

This is a great little city park that we have stayed at before. It is near Dublin with all the necessary shopping. The park is a little hard to figure out when one first gets here. I recommend coming by Thursday as the park fills on weekends even in the fall. Restrooms have been freshened with paint and new plumbing. Rate is senior discount. We camped at Pastime Park in a Travel Trailer.

Here is a little gem of a city park near Columbus/Dublin Ohio. This very small town of Plain City is only a ten minute drive to all the modern chains and the lovely City of Dublin. The sites are grass, a little hard to figure out at first. It is very casual. The restroom are taken care of; however, not in the best shape. We stayed here twice in two weeks and would definitely stay again next time in the area. We camped at Pastime Park in a Travel Trailer.
