Stayed 2 weeks, employees are great. EPA is after them and all campgrounds about dumping gray water on the ground so they pump out. Power was fluctuating enough to kick our surge protector. An electrician was called in and it was fixed within two hours. Sites are gravel/grass, big rig compatible. Lots of trees, we wiggled back and forth until our roof mounted satellite locked on. The lake has a bounce thing to keep kids busy; plenty of activities. Park is mostly seasonal, but does not have that mobile home park feel. We camped at Tall Timbers Campground and Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

I guess it depends on what you're used to, but we thought this was an extremely poor value for the money. While they claim to have 50amp service, they actually only have 2 sites with 50amp. Everything else is 30amp. We feel that $32 for a grass site with only 30amp service, water and NO sewer, No TV, NO shade is a lot to pay. There is nothing special or even nice enough to talk about when trying to describe this park. I would not stay here again! We camped at Tall Timbers Campground and Resort in a Motorhome.

Stayed here for the National Matches at Camp Perry. Nice clean park, dog friendly, stayed two weeks. The weekends are more crowded than weekdays - lot of seasonal campers. Sites and roads are gravel, big rigs stay up front. Seasonal folks are friendly but get testy when you have to drive on their site to make it around a corner. Gray water is allowed to drain at site, but black tank must be pumped out or drive to on-site RV dump. Most campgrounds in Northern Ohio are like this. Employees are very helpful and professional. There are planned activities i.e. movie night, pot luck. The swimming pond has a trampoline-like bounce thing and a beach. I will stay here again. We camped at Tall Timbers Campground and Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

This park is the definition of bland. First impression when arriving is this could be cute. Opinion quickly changes after you check in. The registration / store is open until 4:00 pm then closes. The store selection is sparse at best and the condition of the store is uninviting. This park caters to seasonal sites and offers maybe 15% of the park to transient campers. The sites are grass, but were still relatively level. The park offers a small playground for children and a small pond for swimming. We did not see any other amenities for adults or children. During our stay, we did not see any park employees or any security. The one thing that is present and often is a train track that seems to have activity constantly. It didn't seem to what time of day it was, the train rumbled by, blowing it's horn. Since this park is also and the end of the runway of the local airport, you often heard small aircraft taking off and landing throughout the day. Between the planes and trains, this is not a very peaceful park to rest at. We assessed this park as OK if you wanted to stay in your unit and do nothing, otherwise it was boring and dull and showing signs of being decrepit. We camped at Tall Timbers Campground and Resort in a Motorhome.

Level sites with decent spacing, trees, and grass. Combination fishing/swimming pond with entertainment on the weekends. Decent WIFI, but bath house is in serious need of a remodel (and bug spray)! Lots of children and dogs, nearby (busy) train tracks and small airport next door make it a little on the noisy side. We plan on trying a different park next time, but it is not off our list for future stays. We camped at Tall Timbers Campground and Resort in a Motorhome.

This is a fairly well maintained park located in the Lake Erie Island region. The park has many permanent units that are above average in maintenace. The park has activities for all ages of campers. The weekend that we were there they had an evening beach party with DJ, activites, etc. The also have many other activities during the summer. The management does a fairly good job of maintenace and responding to the campers needs. We did notice low voltage during the afternoon. The temperature was in excess of 90 degrees and there were a large number of motorhomes in our area. There are many activites in the area including Cedar Point, Lake Erie Islands, fishing charters, etc. There is EXCELLENT shopping within 2 miles. I would recommend this campground if East Harbor State Park does not have available spaces. We camped at Tall Timbers Campground and Resort in a Fifth Wheel.
