Overall Rating:

Rustic camping at Resort Prices! When we booked our stay here we were expecting a really nice place for the price quoted but when we arrived it was just very average. With all the dead branches and leaves that were brown (they had been there a while) you could tell that grounds maintenance was not a priority. The pool and the bathrooms/showers are dated and need an upgrade. You don't get much privacy in the shower area. The worst thing though is that the campground is right beside a 4 lane highway (Route 2)! It is very loud day and night. If you rent a cabin here you would be just steps from the highway. They do, however, have location, location, location which I imagine is why they charge so much. It is one of the closest campgrounds to Cedar Point Amusement Park. This is not a destination resort but a decent place to stay for a few days if you're going to Cedar Point. Thank God we're Passport America members and only paid half price! We camped at Camp Sandusky in a Motorhome.

Overall Rating:

Rate reflects a weekly rate with passport. The sites were well marked, grass and very level. There were lots of trees but we had no trouble backing our 30' motor home in the spot. The interior roads were gravel and paved. There are a lot of cabins and a section for tents. Staff was friendly and very helpful. They do a pancake breakfast every morning for $4.50. This is a very busy place. Many come here to go to Cedar Point. We camped at Camp Sandusky in a Motorhome.

The park has a lot of cabins. Our spot was level and long enough for our 30 foot rv and toad. Lots of shade. We camped at Camp Sandusky in a Motorhome.

Park was full of trees which made it difficult to maneuver with a motor home. There is an extra fee for cable. Crop dusters were flying overhead before 7 am. We camped at Camp Sandusky in a Motorhome.

The office staff couldn't have been any nicer. We changed our reservation once and our site twice, and they just kept smiling! Many trees, if you need satellite TV, ask for sites 12-16. Wifi did not work in site 16. May be better closer to the office. Very convenient to Sandusky and Cedar Point theme park. Mekong Vietnamese restaurant is excellent if you're interested. We needed a campground near Cleveland for a two night stop. We decided on this one as it was right on our way. I felt the campground was expensive for what you get. It was noisy, and had the campground been full with cabin people, it would be a zoo. That bathrooms were block and concrete and not extremely clean.

Water pressure was okay, electric worked fine, we used over the air TV and there were many stations to choose from. Sewer was at the back of the site so we just used the dump station on the way out instead of bothering with 30' of sewer hose.

We were parked on grass but the site was level. They had lots of rain recently so sites and roads were a little torn up. Thye were working to fix that. We camped at Camp Sandusky in a Motorhome.

I think the park had just opened for the season when we stayed here in a Class C, because it was nearly deserted. It was clean and the very friendly staff was always around doing some sort of work. The site are gravel and level. We really enjoyed our time here and would come back. We camped at Camp Sandusky in a Motorhome.

Very close to Cedar Point Amusement Park. If you have the time, take the ferry over and check out Kelleys Island.

The $30 reflects Camp USA rate. They have dirt roads, angled back ins, but close to Cedar Point. They check-in was not friendly or helpful. Might stay here again. We camped at Camp Sandusky in a Motorhome.

Overall Rating:

We used this park as an overnight stop. The check in staff was not very well informed. We had requested a cable TV site. We needed to move three times before we had a correct site with cable TV. The site was relatively clean but the grass needed to be cut. The main roads in the park were gravel. The sites are grassy and level and sufficient room between each site. The cable TV was very good but the Wi-Fi was spotty. There are several lovely trees in the park. The pool was closed as it was under repair. The park is very close to the highway so you can hear road noise. We camped at Camp Sandusky in a Motorhome.

This is a decent park. It is very busy in the summer, but we got here a day before officially opening. A call ahead did the trick. There was only one other rig in the area. We got a cheap rate since all the amenities, namely WiFi, picnic table, weren't set up yet. The staff was very friendly and helpful. I'd definitely stay here again during the less busy season. We camped at Camp Sandusky in a Motorhome.

Overall Rating:

Tree limbs on pull through grass sites make it tight for rigs with slide outs. We had to pull forward into an empty site in the next row where we were finally able to extend all four slides but they still touched the tree limbs. This campground was heavily populated with campers in tents while the pull throughs were almost empty. An inexperienced lone staffer at our check-in made the process excessively long waiting for her backup to arrive to issue a credit for an overcharge. We camped at Camp Sandusky in a Motorhome.

The campground had a very friendly staff. The sites were nice but nothing special, we normally stay on sites with pads. The best part about the stay was the pancake breakfast in the morning. We camped at Camp Sandusky in a Motorhome.
