Was attending the Pro Football Hall of Fame Enshrinement Weekend and needed a campground in the Canton area and decided to try this campground based on previous experiences with another Yogi Jellystone Campground. Staff escorted you to your site upon check in. Site was near level with a gravel base, all hook ups were in a convenient location (sewer connection was a bit high but not too extreme). Concrete pad patio was very nice to setup chairs and grill. Site 42 had great shade on the passenger side of the site with full sun on the driver side. Verizon signal was ok, and was able to get satellite signal from site. There were plenty of activities and things to do for the kids. Only real gripe is with the pool, and that was the lifeguards went on break every 2 hours for 15 minutes at time (pool was only open from 11a-7p as it was) and everyone was made to get out. We have camped at numerous campgrounds and never encountered this (all other campgrounds have had sufficient staff to handle breaks for staff without shutting down the pool). Not very likely I will camp in this area again but, if I did, I would camp at this campground again. We camped at Akron/Canton Jellystone Park Camp Resort in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Rustic Table food truck was amazing, I would highly recommend grabbing a bite to eat if they show up at the campground. For those looking to visit the Pro Football Hall of Fame this was a very easy 15-20 ride from the campground.

I spent an entire summer here in the seasonal section and loved it. Plenty of activities and the pool and miniature golf is included and they have the best ice cream for miles around. This is a great park for families with kids - great playground and organized activities. The activity director is the bomb and keeps the kids busy! WiFi was very good in my section and nice level spot with full hookups - they come and empty an in-ground waste tank every week, very nice staff and very helpful. Plus Yogi and BooBoo run around all the time. I will stay here again. Hard to post my rate as I paid for the season! We camped at Akron/Canton Jellystone Park Camp Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

For our family of 2 adults and 4 kids, this was a value as everything was included. If we would have had to pay for the amenities separately it would have been more costly. If you are camping here with 2 adults, it is overpriced, in my opinion. The water park/swimming pool was nice and is included with the site. The mini golf was in pretty good condition and was included. The kids loved the activities: gaga ball, playground, late night movies. Definitely a family park. The main camping area was full so they put our group in the seasonal section across the road. It was farther away from the attractions and shower house, but much nicer. Our sites were much larger and shaded, compared to the others that were in the full sun and tight together. We camped at Akron/Canton Jellystone Park Camp Resort in a Motorhome.

Camped here only because no other places are open this time of year. Way overpriced for what you get. Gravel/muddy roads and sites, no cable, and no Wi-Fi we could find. The owner is friendly and helpful and this may be a good place with kids in the water park season, but is not the greatest place in winter months. This is a great park for kids. They have a lot of fun activities and open spaces. While the sites are gravel, there is beautiful grass and landscaping. The rate reflects PA, and they will not offer PA in the future. This park would rate an "8" if they offered cable TV. We will camp here again. We called the park a few days before arriving to make sure they would be still be open the date we were arriving. Yes they would have limited spaces available. They accept Passport America. They were keeping one row of full hook-up sites open for the winter. It had rained for 2 days before we arrived, some of the sites had standing water on them. The staff was very helpful, they brought a platform we could use at our steps, to keep out of the water. Good location, convenient to area attractions. We would stay here again. Date of Stay: April, 2010 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

The owner and staff here were very friendly and helpful. The park has gravel sites with grass between sites. Our site was level and most others appeared to be also. Site was wide enough to allow for slides and awning without being too crowded. The area around the outside of the park has many trees, but the park has only a few scattered around, so most sites are not shaded, although there are some that are. This does allow for good satellite reception however. Park was clean and well-maintained. Didn't use restrooms, so can't comment on them. The park is several miles from the highway which was somewhat inconvenient, but it is in a nice area and very quiet, at least at this time of year. I would have rated higher if they had cable TV. I would stay here again. We camped at Akron/Canton Jellystone Park Camp Resort in a Motorhome.

We found this park in our Passport America book. We requested a site near the showers and restrooms. It turned out the closest shower and restroom was across a well traveled road from the park. There was one restroom for women and one for men. They were both in terrible condition and there was no heat in either. There were some additional facilities by the office, but they were locked for the season. We were able to receive analog television and the wireless internet was good. It was a travel day and we ended up here. We would not return. It's a very stark campground, with no shade and fairly level sites. There is no laundry and no pool. We camped at Akron/Canton Jellystone Park Camp Resort in a Motorhome.
