This park is a real gem. It is advertised as an "over 50" campground, but grandkids' visits are welcomed. The owners are polite, gregarious and helpful. The campground has excellent water, and is situated on the shore of Grand Lake of the Cherokees. Full service and well maintained. We will come back to this park. We camped at Grand Country Lakeside RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

I don't usually sleep without ear plugs when we are camping. But, this campground is so quiet, ear plugs were not necessary! Slept the best I had in two weeks on the road. The owners, Erv and Kathy, are just the nicest people and are very helpful. Flowers and birds were abundant in the park. Full hookups meant we didn't need to use the campground showers (which could use updating). The view of Grand Lake is beautiful, plus Bernice State Park is right next to this campground. There is a paved path through the State Park, as well as a couple of bird watching blinds. We will definitely be back! We camped here in a travel trailer. Tips for other Campers:

If you have questions about the area, Irv and Kathy can help. Stop at the office so that the owners can help you select the best spot for your rig.
Be careful when leaving the campground - the stop sign at the highway intersection has faded and would be easy to miss.
Grove is only 15 miles away (approx.) and there are many restaurants, shops, flea markets, etc.
Make sure you walk through Bernice State Park - it's delightful!

Overall Rating:

Older style park, very quiet with lovely views of the Lake. About 5 miles off the Highway and centrally located to nearby towns and Monkey Island. The owners are just delightful and nothing is too much trouble. There is no laundry but an excellent Laundromat 1 mile down the road. We did not use the bathrooms. Gravel sites with grass. Good wi-fi. Ensure you pull up before entering the park so that you can be met by the owner and directed to your site. Only a few others were using the park while we were there. Stayed in 38ft motorhome with tow. We camped at Grand Country Lakeside RV Park in a Motorhome.

I stayed one week with a couple of little dogs. The staff was very helpful with EVERYTHING, whether it was RV repairs, local attractions, backing my trailer in or the hiking trail right next door. They have a beautiful view of Grand Lake, pull-through and back-in spaces (large), lots of beautiful grass and trees. It's not like other parks that feel like you're crammed into one big parking lot. The biggest asset for me was that it was QUIET, as well as peaceful and serene. My brother stopped by to visit and he liked it as well. When I'm back in that neck of the woods, I will definitely stay there again! We camped at Grand Country Lakeside RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Overall Rating:

I stayed for almost two weeks at Grand Country RV Park with my 3 Scottish Terriers. My husband drove up from Tulsa on the weekends. I really loved the location. It is 1/4 off the main road and right on the lake. Being off the main road, and also being an over 50 park, it was so nice and quiet with beautiful views of the lake. The owners couldn't have been nicer or more helpful. I was even given fresh vegetable from their garden on a daily basis. I loved the location which is close to Monkey Island and Grove. I look forward to staying there again in the near future. We camped at Grand Country Lakeside RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

The most wonderful thing about Grand Country RV Park was the hosts, the Sikorskis. You should meet them; they were gracious, kind, and helpful. Thanks to them, we were aware of local attractions that gave us numerous fun day trips. There was a beautiful nature trail in the state park just across the drive from where we parked our RV. The park was well maintained. We stayed for a month. We camped at Grand Country Lakeside RV Park in a Motorhome.
