We stopped here overnight. Easy access on and off the highway and easy to maneuver in our big rig. The hosts were welcoming and helpful. The campground is well maintained. There is a hiking trail that leads from the campground to the lake. We enjoyed having the cafe on-site. We had pizza for dinner, and then the next morning had fresh-cooked egg muffin and breakfast burrito. There is also a nice gift shop and DVD rentals on site. Highly recommended. We camped at Elk City / Clinton KOA in a Motorhome.

We had a level, gravel, pull through, FHU site that was satellite friendly. The Wifi was good enough for our minimal (e-mail and web surfing) needs. The bathrooms were clean. We camped at Elk City / Clinton KOA in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

GPS does not work using address, or coordinates. Even while on the road into the park, our RV GPS was indicating we should get back on the highway. Fortunately the campground has tall KOA signs along the highway.

Tips for other Campers:

Loved the Route 66 Museum in Elk City. Spent 2 hours in several buildings filled with old cars, farm equipment, rooms furnished with antiques. Prairie Fire Restaurant had big, juicy steaks and lovely period decor.

The park was built in 1968 and the inside roads are a little rough. This park is good for overnight. There is a small cafe where you can get a hot meal or pizza. We camped at Elk City / Clinton KOA in a Motorhome.

Overall Rating:

Overnight stay on our way west. Roadways are paved, while sites are generally gravel. This is an older park but well maintained. There is adequate space between sites for slides and awnings. The campground is very close to I-40, although the traffic noise was not bothersome. There is a nice sparkling clear pool that looked inviting on a hot day. We stayed at this CG when eastbound two weeks later, and learned that after our earlier departure the area was struck by a severe storm. The office and restroom roofs were badly damaged and repairs were underway. There are no nearby services but the CG operates a café with good pizza and salads. This is a convenient overnight stop, and we would stay here again. We camped at Elk City / Clinton KOA in a Travel Trailer.

Overall Rating:

Convenient access from I-40, but as a previous commenter stated, Garmin GPS will take you to the wrong exit- use Exit 50. Park infrastructure was showing its age, but well maintained. Shady spots and utilities worked well. Park roads are a little rough with oversized speed bumps that will rock your MH. Pads fairly level with gravel and grounds a mix of grass and dirt. Decent place for a one nighter or a few days visit to Elk City. Staff was very friendly and the little eatery had great pizza and salad at a good price. Pool looked clean, but I didn't have time to use it. WiFi worked well enough for e-mail. No cable even though their signage indicated such. Even though close to the Interstate, noise wasn't an issue. We camped at Elk City / Clinton KOA in a Motorhome.

Lovely campground with mature but trimmed trees, grass under the picnic tables at each site and cute playground. Friendly check-in with excellent directions to site and offer to guide if needed. Menu for limited food (pizza, wings, sandwiches, salad& some easy breakfast items). One of the better KOA's we've stayed at. Right off I-40 but no freeway noise ( although wind was so noisy maybe that masked it the night we were there!) We camped at Elk City / Clinton KOA in a Motorhome.

This park is conveniently located on the north side of I-40 @ exit 50. It is in a rural setting. The sites are located on a gentle slope behind the office, which helps block road noise from I-40. Most sites are pull thrus & long enough to stay hooked up for over night stays. Utilities were conveniently located & worked well. We were told the cable company was working on the cable, so it was not available. Last review in November, 2017 also said cable didn't work! We were able to pick up major network channels with OTA antenna. Staff was friendly & helpful. We would overnight here again when in the area. We camped at Elk City / Clinton KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

Having stayed at this park before I was surprised at the lack of maintenance. The staff was ok, the site was an east long pull through. We stopped here because we needed to do some laundry and expected a decent laundry room. The washers and dryers need a through cleaning. Was debating if the clothes would be worse after washing then before. We camped at Elk City / Clinton KOA in a Travel Trailer.

Over night travel stop on a Holiday weekend. Lucky to get a spot because KOA was also have a special deal. Spaces were level but close together. Hook Ups were good. Cell service was okay (Sprint) There was fun activities etc. planned for the week-end. We were cordially invited to attend. There was some food service available... we enjoyed the take-out pizza after a long day of travel. We camped at Elk City / Clinton KOA in a Motorhome.

Overall Rating:

Elk City KOA was a good overnight stop for us. We were able to keep our tow car attached for a quick getaway in the morning. Sites are shady, so care must be taken to maneuver around trees. Our assigned site (56) wins the prize for "most level" we've parked in this summer! The cable TV was non-functional during our stay. We were able to pick up about 10 broadcast channels, but opted not to watch. We did not utilize the park WiFi. GPS units will definitely indicate campers should get off I-40 at the wrong exit. Remember what the owner says, because he is right: "Get off at Exit 50 -- we are the only thing here, you can't miss us". Elk City KOA features a small restaurant with offerings for both breakfast and dinner. The menu includes breakfast pizza, burritos and biscuits, as well as regular pizza, wings, pulled pork sandwiches and more. We did not eat there, so cannot review the cooking. This park does not recycle. We were pleasantly surprised to find a mowed path from the back of the park which led to a local lake. We camped at Elk City / Clinton KOA in a Motorhome.

Stayed here for one night on our way home. Great park, fairly new owners making improvements. Staff are very friendly. The restaurant was very good and they have a little mini store for your camping needs. Our site was level and spacious, lots of shade trees. We didn't use the pool but it did look inviting. Great dog park, our dogs loved it! One of the better KOA's we've stayed at. There was a funnel cloud right after we checked in and they let us stay in the office with our dogs. They explained their process in case of a tornado, yes they have a tornado shelter! We felt very safe. We will definitely be back! We camped at Elk City / Clinton KOA in a Fifth Wheel.
