Overall an average older KOA Park . Good for an overnighter. Clean showers and bathroom. No cable but plenty of over the air channels. Typical Wi-Fi sometimes fast then slow. Sites are spaced just right. We camped at Checotah / Lake Eufala West KOA in a Motorhome.

Site was a pull through. Check in was quick, site was level and no problems setting up. Had a picnic table and full h/u. Campgrounds were clean and the bathroom facilities were extremely clean. Good hot water, just wish the shower had a little more pressure. Wifi was very good and that is important to me. They have a nice little farm zoo and a beautiful trail down to the lake. If you are planning a rally they have 3 rooms and one is very large. Staff was wonderful and willing to help you in any way they can. There were a mixture of RV's from travel trailers to class A's. I have a class C and the park works well for all. I would definitely recommend this campground. We camped at Checotah / Lake Eufala West KOA in a Motorhome.

Office did not seem very accommodating as I requested a lot with no trees and although the park had many empty spaces, I was given one with overhead trees so no satellite reception. Lots of green grass and well kept. Good 50 amps. Conveniently located right off I-40. You may want to unhook your towed vehicle if you are a big rig. We camped at Checotah / Lake Eufala West KOA in a Motorhome.

I have stayed here a couple of times and been very pleased with the park and the sites. The service is excellent. The park is right off of I-40 but you do not get any highway noise. You are still about 10 miles away from any shopping, restaurants, gas stations, etc. The park is well maintained with gravel roads and sites. Many trees for shade but some will still allow satellite access. Sites are nicely spaced and long enough to handle large rigs and tow vehicles. Overall a very nice park. As I am no longer a KOA member the price is higher but a good overnight park. We camped at Checotah / Lake Eufala West KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

Just an overnight stop. Kids loved the pool. Did not notice potholes on the way in that the earlier reviewer did, we were probably still bouncing from the I-40 beating. We camped at Checotah / Lake Eufala West KOA in a Motorhome.

We had a pull-through that was slightly unlevel front-to-back and long enough for our 40 ft motor home and toad. Nearby trees did not block our satellite dish but that was the luck of the draw and probably not the case for many of the sites. Good cable TV. Good Verizon signal. Friendly and helpful staff. Park was clean and well maintained. We camped at Checotah / Lake Eufala West KOA in a Motorhome.

As with most KOAs the gravel in the sites is pretty thin or has disappeared. This one has a nice setting on the lake and is easy on and off from the interstate. Very dusty, though. My towed vehicle was covered with dust that my motor home kicked up. I would disconnect before going to your campsite if you are towing. Sites could be a little more level. We camped at Checotah / Lake Eufala West KOA in a Motorhome.

All KOA campgrounds are expensive, just hands down. Even if you're a member of KOA. However, with that said...it was a stop and we were tired. Staff was nice. Site was not 65 feet. We had to unhook and then place FL60 truck to the back of site cross wise to stay out of the way. Sites are well marked. We camped at Checotah / Lake Eufala West KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

We were just looking for a place to overnight. This RV park is just off the interstate 40 but it is a bit of a circuitous route to get to it. The last mile or so is very bumpy with potholes so playing dodgeball is recommended. When we arrived, no one was in the office. We drove around and looked at a few spots before selecting one. For large rigs, the sites are very unlevel. We had to jockey several times to find a semi-sweet spot. There is nothing fancy here. You can walk down to Lake Eufaula but it is a pretty dreary place. This park just had a weird mojo for us. Maybe it's different in the summer. It is overpriced for what you get. We camped at Checotah / Lake Eufala West KOA in a Motorhome.

Very nice RV park. Attendant very friendly and efficient. Nice trail to a nearby lake. The only negative was the grass at our site needed mowing. Excellent value. We camped at Checotah / Lake Eufala West KOA in a Motorhome.

This a very pleasant RV park and campground conveniently located near I-40. Office staff was very helpful and went out of their way to make sure we had satellite access. And the wifi worked great. All sites are long and pull-through with 30/50 amps, water and sewer. Many have some shade and a swing, fire ring and picnic table. Roads are gravel and sites are gravel/dirt. Lots of green space for walking a dog. We camped at Checotah / Lake Eufala West KOA in a Motorhome.

The place is pretty. I didn't use the facilities. My Surge Guard indicated that the site assigned to me and several others that I tested were Reverse Polarity. When I asked to move I was told that the site I chose was 50 amp and I would have to pay more. Only when I asked for a refund so I could leave did they relent. This was midweek and the place was almost empty. We camped at Checotah / Lake Eufala West KOA in a Motorhome.

This was a great place to stop for 1 night! Easy on/off Hwy 40. However, right next to the highway, so noisy, but we didn't mind because our A/C covered up most of the noise. Didn't bother us in the trailer. Swimming pool looked clean and well kept. Site was gravel, but fairly level, clean, well kept and spacious. Easy gravel roads to navigate. Trail to lake is short, but it was a nice walk after being in the vehicle traveling all day. WiFi worked well! They said it was new. No cable, but the local stations came in very well. Power great. No problems. The only reason not rated 9 or 10 is because of price and highway noise. Mainly the price. Considering all the parks we've been to, this one was pretty expensive for what you get. If you are price sensitive, you might want to drive a bit further or shorter to another RV campground. However, Checotah was exactly where we wanted to stop (tired), so we didn't mind the higher price being only $10-$12 more than the usual we pay, especially if it's just one night. We camped at Checotah / Lake Eufala West KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

They have some sites further away from the highway that have newer wooden swings that are nice with some trees. If you are staying more than one night, you might want to ask for those sites. They may be more expensive?? We didn't ask.

KOAs a generally a little pricey but are usually great campgrounds with amenities that I never use - but this one is not that good. Narrow twisty gravel roads and a gravel site that was not level. Unlike most KOA's, this place was not well groomed, speaking of the camping area. However, the buildings are clean and well kept. Perhaps they are trying to keep it rustic, I dunno. Families will love this place, especially kids. We camped at Checotah / Lake Eufala West KOA in a Motorhome.
