The campsites surround a huge grassy area that has a shelter for gatherings, a playground, and plenty of room for any sport you can imagine. We paid our $20 (senior rate) and the girl told us we could pick out our own site if the one she gave us wasn't satisfactory. It wasn't, but 2 sites over was perfect. It was a level pull thru - more level than the one she gave us. We had plenty of shade. The pad was dirt/sand with a fire pit and a concrete picnic table. Walking the dogs was a breeze. The lake was a little too far for us old folks to get to, but there is a loop by the lake with about 15 sites with 50 amp. Driving a big rig could be a little tight, but we saw them in the park, so it is doable. I'd stay there again, even though it's about 8 miles from I40. We camped at Lake Eufaula State Park in a Motorhome.

Park roads paved, sites were concrete. Sites well spaced with grassy areas between. Full hook ups. Noticed a few sites where the sewer hook up was situated as to be difficult to use. Nice park. We were in Turkey Flats, other campgrounds also looked nice but we only drove by. We camped at Lake Eufaula State Park in a Fifth Wheel.

We went with no reservations, arrived Tuesday before Memorial weekend and stayed through memorial weekend plus additional week. Got the last available RV site. Best site in the entire campground. Lucky! #95A huge site. One neighbor behind us. None of the sites has water view or water access. Security constantly around. Severe Thunderstorm warning and security parked right near us, said if the storm got worse they would come through announcing where to go. Storm shelter on site. Great stay minus unattended dogs in next site who barked entire time. Talked to rangers, they talked to owners but to no avail. Over all would ask for this site again. We camped at Lake Eufaula State Park in a Fifth Wheel.

We stopped for an overnight and everything was in order. We almost had the park to ourselves. The washrooms were closed this time of year but we didn't need them. There are some very fine pull through "superior" sites on the lake in the lower loops that are well worth the small additional fee. We camped at Lake Eufaula State Park in a Travel Trailer.

Tips for other Campers:

We arrived at a time they had decorated the interior of the RV in lovely Christmas lights making a rather spectacular display. Unfortunately this meant many roads were blocked or inaccessible. While we were wandering around lost the host found us and he guided us in to our site. Otherwise we would never have found it.

This is a sweet park, at least off season, and is good for an overnight stop on your way across country. It is close to Route 40, was quiet, has some sights with nice water views. We camped at Lake Eufaula State Park in a Motorhome.

The park us about 6 miles south on Hwy 150, off of I-40. We had site 93 in the Lake View Circle. We had a view of the lake in a pull thru site. Very nice, quiet. Roads were good. Site was concrete. Exactly what we like trees, water and comfortable site at a reasonable price. We had good water flow and electricity. We would return. We camped at Lake Eufaula State Park in a Motorhome.

There are several campgrounds at this state park. Dogwood Drive has no views of the lake, Deep Fork campground has some with views of the lake. When we were there, at the Deep Fork Campground, they were doing road repair the next day and the campground was closed the next day so we had to leave. Register and pay at the Visitor Center on the way in. Very nice park, but wish they had more sites where you could see the lake! We camped at Lake Eufaula State Park in a Motorhome.

Stayed one night instead of the two nights we planned. Site was dirty with trash and dog excrement. We walked down to the lake and there was a dirty diaper on the shore along with other trash. The sites are fairly level and shaded. Sewer hookups lacking covers. Yecchhh! We were very disappointed. We camped at Lake Eufaula State Park in a Motorhome.

This is a typical state park with the normal amenities. Electric and water at the site with a centrally located dump station. Nice quiet, clean park. Our pad was concrete and fairly level and had a view of the lake. Antenna TV reception was fair, no cable or WiFi. Had picnic table and fire ring. Did not use public restrooms. Roads are a little tight in places due to trees. But manageable. We stayed only one night as we were just passing through. Will stay here again if back this way. We camped at Lake Eufaula State Park in a Travel Trailer.

Overall Rating:

A wonderful State Park several miles off I-40. Amazingly, this lake has a shoreline of almost 500 miles, and you never see the lake coming in from the Freeway and no views from the campground. Beautiful mancured lawns and old-growth trees along with paved pull through spaces. Caution about many of the double spaces, that are side by side. It seems the campground folks try to keep only one RV there, since if they put two side by side, it would be very close and not as enjoyable. No 50 amp, only 30 amp with sewer drains at the sites as well. Very pretty place, but would be nice if you could see the lake! We camped at Lake Eufaula State Park in a Motorhome.

Dogwood campgrounds were nice, site was concrete and level, good condition asphalt interior roads, lots of grass between sites. Bathrooms were old, tired and badly needing updating. While site power pedestal provided 50 AMP power, only the 30 AMP worked. Would return and camp here again. We camped at Lake Eufaula State Park in a Fifth Wheel.

5 miles off I-40. It has two camping areas, one on lake with water and electric and one with larger sites with full hookups. Shaded and quiet. Busy on weekends. Recommend. We camped at Lake Eufaula State Park in a Travel Trailer.

Overall Rating:

Rate reflects a senior discount and some sort of promotional rate they were offering, apparently due to it being late in the season. We stayed at the camping area (can't remember the name) which is about 1 mile north of the Visitor Center, not the area south of the Center. The area we stayed in has newer, more level sites, along with full hookups, and is woods views only, while the other area has limited hookups but does offer nice views of the lake from some of the sites. Sites are situated somewhat oddly, with many sites immediately side-by-side with another site. Nice if you are camping with another RV couple, I suppose, but otherwise you will have one close neighbor, with the other RVs spaced more normally from you. The campground was less than half filled when we were there, so everyone had positioned their rigs in those odd "double" sites with nobody in the site immediately next to them. The campground is distant from the road and so it was very quiet, and $12 was very fair for a full hookup! We camped at Lake Eufaula State Park in a Motorhome.

Beautiful setting on site 85 in Lakeview circle, level pull through full hookup site. Worth the 6 mile drive off the hwy even for one night. We would definitely come back if in the area for more than one night. We camped at Lake Eufaula State Park in a Motorhome.

Date of Stay: March, 2010 - $21.00
Overall Rating:

There are multiple campground areas in the park. We stayed at 2 of them during March. The prime lakefront site camp area was $25. The view added to our enjoyment. Getting around the loop and parked was tight in a couple of places for our 40' motorhome and tow car. The sites in this loop were paved and pull through. Ten days later, on our return trip, we stayed in a different camp (Dogwood) in a more open gravel pull though with grass in between sites. It was more roomy and an easy area to negotiate, and $21. We met multiple staff, all helpful and well informed. We also liked having a major truck stop at Checotah. The State of Oklahoma State Park websites are not the best, lacking much information. We camped at Lake Eufaula State Park in a Motorhome.
