First off, this is the worst Park we have stayed at in three years of full time RVing. Not Big Rig Friendly. Permanent sites are unkept and true definition of trailer trash. It is a member owned Park in desperate need of quality management. Check in personnel was rude and very unhelpful. Low overhead branches and narrow gravel unkept roads makes for hazardous travel. We almost lost our Omni directional antenna from low branches in the Park. We did blow a tire on the washed out, narrow, unmaintained, gravel roads on or towed Jeep (sidewalk puncture). Low branches in site up against motor home and unable to use awning. Park rules were not enforced i.e. dogs running around off leash, quite hours not enforced, lack of security, kids on golf carts, all on the first night. Poor electric service, neighbor keep blowing 30 amp, I kept blowing 20 amp. Shared water with neighbor but no splitter. One picnic table for every ten sites. Not much for kids to do as the children's facilities are lacking imagination and funding. We got what we paid for with the free WIFI. Traveling cross country and reservations are all set up and wishing our week here was over. Never come back here again not even for one night. We camped at Terra Starr RV Park in a Motorhome.

The park appears to have many returnees. It is a little off the interstate for a one night stay. Not much in the area, the closest grocery store is 8 miles. Our site was in a large gravel area with other overnighters. Level, lots of room and easy access to services. No other amenities such as patio or picnic area. We camped at Terra Starr RV Park in a Motorhome.

Overall Rating:

We stayed four nights. Slip was totally gravel, without table, concrete pad or shade but with lots of sand spurs. Wifi was actually reasonably good. Good cable. Restrooms and laundry were good. Storm shelter was immediately available and nice for a hiding place. Grounds were well kept. Playground in good repair. Watch out for the speed bumps. Large storage area for boats and RVs. Only glaring deficiency was presence of many pot holes, both over filled and not filled. Past the rough entry things were pretty good. The staff was friendly and helpful. They held a package that arrived before us. Great place if you have a boat. Lots of shade for longtermers. We camped at Terra Starr RV Park in a Motorhome.

No customer service. Prior to our stay, called three different times and never received a call back. Like most parks, WiFi service can be slow. They do offer to purchase higher speed WiFi, but you guessed it...called the front office and they didn't know how or know anything about it (was on their web site). We camped at Terra Starr RV Park in a Motorhome.

This is a member owned and run park. It is in need of some TLC. I think as the members age and the park ages it is a lot to keep up with. We used our Coast To Coast points to stay here for $10 a night plus $4.50 for 50 amp. It was Memorial Day weekend and lots of sites were full. There were a lot of activities. Lunch and breakfast, plus a street dance with a live band. Quiet hours were observed and the park was quiet and pleasant. The people were all very friendly. There were volunteer security patrols. All in all a very nice park. Some sites are a little unlevel but we had no problem in a pull-through site. The pull-throughs are for overnight stays but since we had a longer rig and toad they gave us a pull-through. We camped at Terra Starr RV Park in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Checotah is the hometown of Carrie Underwood, but not much to do there. This CG is on Lake Eufaula and most activities are water related. We did visit a Kiwi farm that had interesting owners and not the normal Kiwi fruit. We had a nice meal with friends down in Eufaula at the Stuffed Olive.

We only stayed one night. We had trouble with one AC so left early next morning to next destination because one wouldn't work. It was a very nice park and I wish we had more time to spend there. Lots were spacious and offered some shade. Site surface was gravel. Campsite and amenities were clean. We camped at Terra Starr RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

We spent one night, park is on lake, pull throughs adequate. The electric 30 amp would blow fuses with heater on. We arrive after 4pm, office was closed, went to pay at office at 8:30 the next morning and the woman behind counter rudely stated they aren't open until 9. She was argumentative about our coast to coast fee as well. We camped at Terra Starr RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

This is a Passport campground. Staff was great but be careful if you are on one of the grass sites. If it has rained it could be soft. Guy next to me needed their tractor to pull him out. All services worked good and over the air TV was ok. Good for us, just a one night stop over. We camped at Terra Starr RV Park in a Motorhome.

This is the Passport America rate plus $1 for 50 amp service. We just stopped for one night while passing through the area. The road leading into the park was gravel and very narrow but there was no traffic so it was not a problem. The sites are grass/gravel and not particularly level but plenty big enough and a great deal for the price. The Wi-Fi worked well and staff was very friendly and helpful, returning my calls as promised. We would definitely stay here again. We camped at Terra Starr RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Beautiful area good rates and the most friendly people you will meet anywhere. There are lots of amenities, clean bathrooms, and hot showers. This park has something for everyone. The only drawback is that there is no phone reception, but they have free WiFi. These people care about the comfort of their guest. I would recommend this park to anyone. The weekly rate is $100. We camped at Terra Starr RV Park in a Motorhome.

We stayed 4 nights in this park (our rate is the PA rate) and found it to be ok. The roads are very rough approaching the park and inside be aware of the many potholes. We had good reception (3G) with our Verizon air card but the Wi-Fi in the park was very poor. The sites are mostly dirt with very little gravel but level. Park is quiet with many sites being long term rentals. We camped at Terra Starr RV Park in a Motorhome.

Positives: Flat, has 30 and 50 amp service, a few pull thrus. Seems to have discount rates for those that are affiliated - the after hours registration allows for passport America rates. Negatives: If you choose the "free" wi-fi option via a proxy, wi-fi won't work. I didn't find out if paying for it worked as the proxy would time out with free. This park has old facilities. They're adequate and reasonably kept up, but the pool has lots of cracks, missing tile, etc. The game room is large, but fairly basic in a wooden structure that needs some attention. Some of the metal structures had enough rust to be unstable (shade at the pool). There seems to be quite a few full-timers, probably a good local place to live. We used 50amp service; water and sewer hook ups were no problem. No waterfront 7/2012. I understand that the lake is way down. Used the washer/dryers, which were functional in a well air conditioned building. Didn't use the shower. The pool shower worked but was leaking. Park was clean, quiet. We camped at Terra Starr RV Park in a Motorhome.

Not a destination park, but not bad for a night or two. We enjoyed the pool. Wi-Fi was very weak. Nice little laundry room. Two washers and two dryers. Rate was through Coast to Coast, with a $4.50 additional charge for 50 amp. We camped at Terra Starr RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

RPI rate plus 30AMP per day. This is a member owned RV Resort now open to the public. This time of the year they are closing down portions of the campground and winterizing the pool. Off SR-69 Texanna Rd is under construction, and there is a severe edge of pavement/lane drop off with lots of hazard pylons to be your guide. The campground office is closed on Sunday, open on holidays. Short term campers utilize Section L and the sites are all drive through with 30/50 (you pay even more for 50AMP), W/S. Campground is collecting "donations" for free Wi-Fi and a bathhouse remodel. Lake Eufaula is nearby, but the water level is so low there is no access. Sites are gravel, most roads are asphalt. There are not enough picnic tables in short term for each site to have its own. Laundry room is clean. The facilities are old, and we didn't use the restrooms and showers though they look to be pretty used up wooden structures. Overall the campground is well kept. There are many long term members staying here, but everyone is friendly. You are a fair distance from services although the Phillips 66 at SR-69 and Texanna Rd is handy and well priced. There is a Camper Store at Texanna Rd & Belle Starr road, but their inventory is limited. Campground staff was helpful and watchful. Although the campground is "out of the way" it is a good place to stop, for a night, week, or month. Wi-Fi is free, but we had good signal on our Clear cards and good cell coverage. We would return here if in the area. We camped at Terra Starr RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.
