The grass was beautiful and well maintained as was the rest of the camp. - Jimmy elloitt

There are two campgrounds- we stayed at the nicer of the two along the river down from the spillway. THE OTHER CAMPGROUND IS BAD FOR TALL RIGS! (We lost a vent cap and broke a piece off our A/C shroud when driving through.) The mosquitos were bad even during the day, but site was nice. Also had a great playground. We spent one night and never saw a ranger, so owe the state of Oklahoma $20. - KyKampers

The only reason for the 9 not 10 rating is no sewer, but most state. parks don't have sewer. Great view from back window of RV, backed up to river where pelicans, cormorants, egrets, ducks and other water fowl are busy catching fish. In November, Sandhill cranes are here in the tens of thousands on the lake by the Eagle Roost Trail (at the Nat'l Refuge north of the state park). Sites are widely spaced, cement slabs with fire ring and free-standing grill, water and electricity only, but there is a dump by the entrance to park. In the fall the trees are beautiful colors. We stayed in site #5 and had pretty good cell service, but most sites don't have decent service. Site #20 is closest to the dam where all the pelican action is. We will definitely return again. - ClaireOKC
